- In this video we take a look at what broke my last time out at the track and how serious is the repair going to be in my 2009 Challenger R/T.
My modifications:

I was about to say, you had a LOT of wheel hop. That's a huge diff killer.
@@DJGRoc Yes it is and it did kill it. Lol after that night driving home I noticed a rear diff whining. Thankfully I got a new diff under warranty and since got a diff brace and AAD dragpack rear suspension setup. No more wheel hop!
@@MattsMoparMadness That's cool, & quite luckily that the warranty covered the replacement. I had the same axle problem as this video, but have yet to install my new ones. Got the entire AAD setup myself to go with them, along with Bilstein B6 shocks/struts. Just waiting for cooler weather down here in AZ to install everything. 👍🏼
@@MattsMoparMadness haha well the wheel hop in the video isn't as bad as my car used to be at least! It used to sound like my rear tires were going to punch through the floor of my trunk before I put in the whiteline cradle bushings! Your setup now is rock solid! Thanks for all the help buddy! That sucks when stuff breaks but is part of “race car” life. The good thing is nobody got hurt. Glad you’re getting her fixed up! 💪 I know they are a tad expensive but quick jacks are awesome. If you get a chance I definitely recommend them. They’ll give you a lot more room. 😉
Matt has some! I’m pretty jealous of his setup! At least I’m skinny so I can still sneak under there! 😄
Ha - I did the same thing in 2021. Ended up replacing my stock axles with Hellcat axles. Never looked back.
This happened to me about 6 months ago. I went with the Gforce Engineering Outlaw axles. Sadly, I have yet to put them in, as it's been too damn hot here in AZ. 🥵
Same thing happened in my '15 R/T manual. Also driver's side axle. Although it was the hub side CV joint that broke on me. Totally shredded the boot, & splattered axle grease everywhere! Thank goodness for Dawn Power Wash!!! 👍🏼

@@TrackPackRT Yeah it was! That Dawn cut through the grease pretty darn well. My wheel hadn't looked that good since I last had the car detailed. ✌🏼
Well...there's yer problem. Hope the new axle isn't too stupid expensive. If I ever do that with my 06 RT Charger I'll be...surprised. Especially seeing how it's a auto and I don't drag race it on the track.
Your Charger has an open diff, so chance of breaking an axle is pretty slim. ✌🏼 The Chally has an LSD, hence why it broke the CV axle.
Yep, I know it does and it's really tall gears too but most of the time it still spins both tires like the 3.23 power lock I put in my Dart back in ancient times.
I noticed it squats under load and would like to fix that but everything works and isn't broken. It handles well and seems to launch good.

Axles can only handle so many hundreds of hard pulls from a dig before they break lol. As someone whos been arlund drag racing his whole life, and also drag races, parts break. All the time, on everythinf.

hellcat axles in the near future?
Hellcat axles won't work withy my diff! Went a stronger route!
Did you replace it yet? If you need the original axles I have a set from my 2009 6 speed challenger, I replaced mine with a pair of Gforce axles.
Thanks for the offer! I did replace them already, I was going to cover it in this episode but it was already getting pretty long! Factory axles have a back order with no estimated arrival date right now! I had to go another route.
