    Awesome man! Been following your mods from day one. Glad you didn’t fold for a 392. They are so tempting because they run like hell stock. I like them to but it’s even better to beat one with a modded 5.7
    You definitely got some top end pull in her. She runs strong and your banging those gears like a pro.
    I still think 12s are fast. Especially in a NA engine.
    My goal is also to hit 12s with my Pontiac power. I am at 1100 ft and running 13.2s .
    I ‘ll get there.
    Congrats on your meeting your goals. Hell yea 👍

    Great stuff! There is something to be said for putting your heart into making something. I have an 06 Charger R/T that I bought new and didn't really start doing any mods till 2020. So far I've done a fair bit of suspension work (thicker sways, links, replaced the subframe bushings, and the Eibach kit). Next up are the Brembos. The one thing that is keeping me from tearing into the powertrain is the lifetime powertrain service contract. At the car's age and mileage, I'll be surprised if I roll in what they'd say at this point😁. It has come in handy in the last few years (new longblock, heads, rear main seal) but the desire to improve on what I have is still there.

      Well said! My buddy Matt upgraded most of his suspension with all AAD stuff and let me take it for a spin. The car feels absolutely solid in a way that is tough to describe. I've still got to tackle my suspension, debating on starting that this year.

      @@TrackPackRT Definitely do it. I will admit, the two inches make me questions going over curbs now, but it is so much more fun to drive. If you do go this route, you may want to look into adjustable upper control arms. The R/T knuckles makes the car sit with some negative camber. Since I am doing the Brembo swap in the next month, I'll be installing the SRT knuckles. so it may resolve that.

    I like how you have kept your car looking stock from the outside. The early cars look so retro and are aging very well. Don't like when people update them, it ruins them imho.

    For you to mod your car it was definitely worth it. You enjoyed doing it. Would I mod an R/T if I owned it outright? Yes, I would. The only thing I would have done differently is I would have gone with the supercharger rather than bolt ons if had to choose between one or the other. The part that sucks with the supercharger is the initial outlay of cash. The main reason is that you can compensate for the high DA at your home track by changing a pulley and belt. What's next? Supercharger or nitrous? Either could get your car into the 11s and you wouldn't lose reliability as long as you limit the nitrous to 100 shot or boost to 7-8 pounds.
    Having said all of that, I modded a lower trim car. I bought a V6 Mustang and paid it off. At that point I had a choice of either modding it or buying a Mustang GT. I modded it. I started with the supercharger and went from there. I added other mods and the only one I have left is adding long tube headers. In good DA, my car will run high 11s which translates to a mid 12 second car at your track. If I had to do it all over again, would I have just upgraded the car? It depends on when you ask me. I'm still not 100% sure. However, I lean towards upgrading to a higher-level trim.

    • @TrackPackRT
      @TrackPackRT  ปีที่แล้ว

      I've been thinking long and hard about a new intake, one that makes a whining sound. haha
      In your case there is something satifying about taking a low trim car and making it way faster than it has any business being. Always makes for a fun project. The key is stopping from modding the car so much that it's punishing to drive regularly on the street.

    • @hu3.789
      @hu3.789 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TrackPackRT - One thing I like about my car is that it drives the way it came from the factory when driving normally. That's one of the nice things about having a supercharger. I didn't do any suspension mods so ride and handling didn't change. My car has limited valve clearance and independently adjustable dual overhead cams so there's no point in doing a cam swap. I added a higher stall torque converter. However, I didn't get it with such a high stall that it affects drivability. It does help me get out of the hole. My 60 ft went from 1.9s and 2.0s to 1.7s with an occasional 1.6. The only thing I have left to do is add long tubes. I plan to do that this spring.
      A supercharger is a big expense. However, it is well worth it. Keep the boost at no more than 8 pounds and your car will still be reliable. In your car it would lower your ETs a second and a half or more. If you like the whine, go with a positive displacement. If you like power at high RPM go with a centrifugal supercharger.

    I have seen dyno graphs where ported intake manifolds really smooth out the TQ/HP curves. A relatively inexpensive upgrade compared to ported Eagle heads which you have in your car 2009 Chally, just not ported. Further, a properly ported intake manifold could add 10+ HP/TQ across the power band and maybe gain some significant E.T. Something to consider since you seem to be a capable aftermarket installer and I haven't really seen a direct comparison of E.T.s of before and after a ported intake manifold. And you and I both know who is very capable of porting 5.7 intakes.... @B. Mason....Negotiate with Mr. Mason to have him send you a ported intake manifold for comparison. You have a decent fan base....Alberta isn't frozen yet.... Low 12's in a 5.7...Ponder that...

    • @TrackPackRT
      @TrackPackRT  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve thought about putting on a 392 intake for some extra power down low/ in middle of the power band but then part of me doesn’t want to splice into my wiring harness in case I do a supercharger instead. A couple tenths is pretty tempting though!

    Also, I went Stage 2, if you remember. Im in Oklahoma. But the question is, what mafe you choose Stage 2 over Stage 1 or the Stage 3?

    • @captainboose8788
      @captainboose8788 ปีที่แล้ว

      Stage 3 is way too big for a 5.7 and kills torque; stage 1 makes great torque but doesn't have the top end of the 2

    • @brokelahomachickenfry6497
      @brokelahomachickenfry6497 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Captain Boose so why would they make a Stage 3 for the 5.7 if it's that bad? I was worried Stage 3 wouldn't be good for daily driving.
      I bought another 5.7 22 model Challenger, I was thinking of the Stage 1 this time.

    • @captainboose8788
      @captainboose8788 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@brokelahomachickenfry6497 The Stage 3 is not made for the 5.7 specifically, its made for the VVT Gen 3 block, which is all the Current Hemi blocks, including the 5.7, 6.4, 6.2, and 7.0L crate engine. What its really designed for is stroker engines over 400 CI+, or high RPM (7000-7500+) race engines

      I would go the same way with my cam if I were to do it again. Honestly the powerband of my car right now is perfect. It feels like it pulls hard everywhere and has lots of legs up top where it used to feel dead. The reason I didn't go with Stage 3 I looked at the powerband and saw that it made most of it's power quite high in the rev range. I figured that would be no fun to drive on the street because from a dig or stoplight to stop light it would be sluggish. That cam is more for track racing where you're always in the middle/high end of the rev range.

    • @brokelahomachickenfry6497
      @brokelahomachickenfry6497 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Track Pack R/T I agree. 2, I never got completely dialed. Had the 8 speed auto. Kept surging or adjusted tune and would die at idle in gear.
      It was a little slugish down low at first, but after I did that 6.4 intake with msd set at 4700 for the shirt runners and long runners, it definitely pulled from a dig and kept climbing quickly through 6700 rpms.

    I don’t get this? It’s nice to have goals etc but you didn’t beat a scat or a Camaro as you beat those drivers.. a stock scat pack runs 12.2-.12.5 stock. You said your best was a 12.6 miracle run otherwise a 12.9? You can hear when you have the inside cam that your car Big’s between shifts like it has super long gears or something. I’ve ran 11.33 with my fbo 10 speed mustang and have beaten hellcats,1000hp mod cars , zl1’s etc at a track.. that doesn’t mean my car is faster.. it isn’t at all lol. I just hooked up better or drove better then those guys on that day.

    • @TrackPackRT
      @TrackPackRT  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You have to check the elevations and DAs I’m racing in to get the ETs. The back to back runs I did with the Scat the first one I beat his ET by .04 and .3mph. The second run back to back no cool down, his ET just beat me out by less than a tenth and I beat his MPH by just over 1. Both of his 60’ times were better than mine, so spinning wasn’t a problem for him either. It was simply 2 very evenly matched cars. It boiled down to a drivers race. Which also matches what my dyno results are telling me. If I was beating up on an inexperienced driver he would be trapping way more mph than me and my reaction and 60’ times would show that. And I definitely beat the Scat and Camaro, win is a win. I’ve beat and been beaten by both multiple times. The cars are even enough that it’s hard to say one is faster than the other which is what I was going for.
