Hoo wee. Nice work! Taking on something like this is not for the faint of heart. I am surprised you don't hear more of these failures, especially with those running around with boosted 5.7's.

Thank you! Glad I got it done. I'm wondering if there wasn't a period of time at the factory where the weld settings on that particular robot weren't turned up high enough and then we had some of those welds failing, all seem to be on 08-14 so far. Although admittedly I've only seen 3 that failed but still I find that strange.

    Hello,
I have a question?? I’m thinking of buying my first R/T but they are so expensive so with that being said what do you think about a high mileage R/T around 90k -75k miles what would be something I should look for and far as problems? Would it be wise or am I just asking for a big headache headache. Thanks again for your time.

It's not a big headache, the biggest thing would be to find one that was well taken care of. Around that mileage it's common for the water pump to go (or already been replaced), often times the alternator. You'll want to listen to it run, make sure there's no tick happening with the lifters. Don't mistake it for injector noise, hemis are kind of loud motors to begin with, lifters starting to fail are very loud and obvious. At that mileage some of your bushings will likely need replacing in your suspension components. If they do, that's not the biggest deal, it'll allow you to put something better in there and tailor the ride to how you plan on using the car. Good luck!
