    Whoo! I have been waiting for this video! Hats off to both of you on getting this all fixed up, it is added insurance and peace of mind for your upcoming track season. In Southern Ontario we received our first decent snowfall the other week, it has now melted and sunny and +5C is in the forecast... in January! Mine is in having body and a complete repaint done over the winter, very excited to see the outcome of that as well. I bet you are sleeping much better knowing it is back in one piece, ready for spring!

    Tried to get those bushings for my 2012 rt. Manual as well. But apparently nobody makes the differential bushings for my year model. Fun stuff but I may try the 2010 bushings. I can't see a difference in them. Glad it helped you buddy. Broke my subframe the same way

      Thank you sir! We’ve got to keep these cars pristine, especially if they’re not making them anymore! Winter came back with a vengeance after I shot this. Monday morning on my way to work my Jeep was reading -37. 😳

    It's cool to see you've owned the car for 15 years and still get enjoyment out of it. I'm looking forward to one day getting the new body style (2015 and up) and strengthen the valvetrain and other internals to ensure the engine is bulletproof.

      I’m pretty nostalgic I guess, I was extremely excited about my car when I first got it and the feeling hasn’t really faded. I really like the gauges and headlights on the 15+ cars, good luck in your search!

    My diff did that sound after I had a new 3.09 put in that sublime green Challenger I had. After I noticed it, it got on my nerves. The factory 3.07 didnt do that.

      My buddy Matt’s 13 did it, got it replaced and it still did it. His 18’ didn’t at first but then after time started whining a little. Seems super common.

    What differential do you have in that car? I have a 13 SRT8 with the 392 getrag and 6 speed. Dealer replaced it because it was clunking with loads of play. Whe I got it back it had the same play and clunk, now along with a whine. Couldn’t get them to change it again due to the expired wrt. Before a buy a new unit, do you or did you have any of those issues, especially the 50-69 MPH Whine?
    Did you have to get the car aligned after installing the rear cradle? Thanks!
    I wrote this comment at the 10:27 point of the video. WhenI restarted it, I heard the whine, I have the exact same noise. Wasnt there before the unit was replaced. And its much louder in thr warmer weather.

      I had the same problem with my 10 R/T. They replaced the driveshaft and I think that fixed it but I can't remember for sure.

    • @TrackPackRT
      @TrackPackRT  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Mines a Getrag as well. I can’t remember how long it’s been whining for but it’s been awhile now. Combing through a lot of forums seeing what other people have experienced it is extremely common. I’ve heard cases like yours where they replaced the diff because of slop and clunk and the new one did the same thing. Mine was a clunky as well, and with the cam and aggressive tune it lead to an annoying bucking problem that also highlighted the clunk in a bad way. I will say though after I snapped my axle and put the new DSS ones in it dramatically improved the issue. To the point that when my wife took her first drive in the car with me she turned to me right away and said “that is so much smoother!”. If she can notice it immediately it definitely made a night and day difference.

      @@TrackPackRT thanks for the reply!
      The whine is more annoying than the clunk. In the cooler weather not as bad, but summertime its really loud. 25k on the clock and its like a new car. A local guy suggested Randy’s Ring and Pinion, online. I was told that these guys are the S***
      Ill deal with it in the spring.
      Nice job on the repair….. should get a small lift. I got a maxjax 10 years ago. Didnt think I would use it enough and havent stopped using it, mostly for my work vehicle.
      Did you have any issues with alignment when you reinstalled the rear cradle?

    • @TrackPackRT
      @TrackPackRT  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@cobraninetysix3883 not really, we were pretty careful to thread the bolts up evenly so one side wasn’t going in crooked which would probably put it out a little bit. I might go back in the spring to check and make sure it’s good, but we weren’t too worried about it. The test drive kind of confirmed it for me as well, it was tracking really straight even when I let go of the wheel.

    • @TrackPackRT
      @TrackPackRT  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Went with driveshaft shop 1400 hp axles. They made a big difference immediately in helping stop the bucking.

    Did you get diff whine after doing the diff bushings?

    • @TrackPackRT
      @TrackPackRT  22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I had the diff whine before the bushings, but it did make it louder after install. To be honest though you only really notice at highway speeds. For what it’s worth I’d still do it the same way if I was going to do it again, the car just feels so solid and responsive with all the work I’ve done to the driveline, where before it felt kind of sloppy if that makes sense.
