I hope the damage from the box accident healed with the time, and now you are preparing the vampire counts for the old world! revive the (un-)dead project! ✌🤓
Well done!
Very inspiring army! I have been planning to get a Punic Wars project done for both sides too, but I keep getting side tracked.
Hello, what did you use to paint the helmets of Carthage?
I hope you are doing okay. Take care of yourself.
Nice
Thinking dutch army with Scottish orvenglish units attached? Wanted spanish but I'm not were I'd get the tercio figures
That looks great, friend.
Those shields are money!
I'm dieing to do this army for Great Plains, Dertosa & Trebia. The amount of figures needed is daunting though. Good on you for your accomplishment.
A very nice army, I'm just building a similar army and seeing your work has inspired me. Thanks
Can you remember what paint you used for the helmets? Is there a part where you paint the metal?
I have been intending to do a Punic Wars project for a few years now, stuff like this is inspiring.
Dry nicely done, I’m getting into historicals and I do find some of the base sizes tricky so I really like your 50mm depth. I think I will follow along your videos and crest my own Republican army!
Hello. It’s really a very nice job. Your painting is superb. Can you tell me what are the dimensions of the bases and above all, how did you manage to obtain such a realistic effect on your bases? THANKS
thanks! =) The single models are on 20mm round bases, the weapon teams on 32mm round bases. All from Renedra. Some of the larger weapon teams are on 40 and 50mm bases as needed. The basing is the Base Ready mix from geek gaming scenics. I find it works especially well on these smaller scale figures.
@@habsburgerdonkey5342 Ok thank you for your feedback. what type of ready mix did you use? Mediterranean soil?
Bonjour , ce sont tout simplement les plus mauvaisaises figurines qu ils ont crée , domage ! ✌
I know it's not great historically, but I do standard for all units except skirmishers. I do 3 60mm bases, for a 180mm frontage, with the center one being where I put the command too. Easy to put them in line or in a column for marching. I do 36 figures for nepolionic armies but 18 figures for all other times. I really like the victrix as well. Lovely figures.
What tablesize is large enough for this scale? I have a 120*130cm table but it feels a bit small for warhammer and such systems.
I'd say you can play a reasonable game on a table like that. I would say this scale really shines on a 4x6 (so ~120x~180cm) but you should still be able to get a much more reasonable game than you would with 28mm or warhammer miniatures. One infantry regiment will take up 18cm across.
Love your channel! I’d love to see some of those old trolls painted up
Couldn’t you for the curassier unit make it a unit of 12 4 per base and replace one with the banner?
To build army of gauls you can use german dacuans gaull and iberian ... Converte units mixing minis
This wrong size... Size in scale if you have 12 hastati, 12 principis and 12 velites you must have 6 triarii... So if you build army of 2 hastati and 2 principes you mus have next 6 triarii.... Your army have 4 Units hastati 4 principes but only 2 triarii but painting is nice... You mus buy Allied Legion and upgrade army
Donkey I love your active and plain talk commentary through your videos even when you lose your thought pattern the whole video is always easy to watch to the end
An exceptional job I was saddened you had no love for them this series has inspired me to get back into painting Romans..
Mate I love your video series and have watched all 7 in this series at least 4 times as I am preparing through my channel to create a massive army to represent my Patreon Members Thank You..
That homestead is money. Well done.
Where did you get the models from? Looks amazing, definetly gonna do that too.
All of these are from Plastic Soldier Company. There's loads of model kits as well from various companies.
@@habsburgerdonkey5342 Thank you very much good sir :)
I agree about the sizes, will also include their vehicles as well and tend to avoid the brand, though the concept is great. My unit when finished have the 30 cal's doubling as 50 cal's, the water cooled acting as the 30 cal, and the 50 cal's were given to a fellow gamer who plays in 28mm and they became vehicle guns for his 1/56 jeeps!
Absolutely love these little fellas
have you played any games yet? how well does it play?
It was all looking so great, but no videos for 2 months. 😢
I knoow, I'm so annoyed about it myself... but it's been so stressful over the summer, I've barely had time to hobby... hopefully things calm down again soon ; _ ;
Your painting is excellent!!
Thats amazing paint job :)
Thats a really big, good looking army
your paintjob is so good that i want to cry
Great video !! Grettings from OMAHA WARGAMES
23:23 wow you’re not kidding about noticing it lol 😂. That scale difference is huge.
Congratulations on the amazing army! I am slowly building mine for two years and I am lagging. Do you consider what Oathmark unit for your zombies?
I'm using them as Ghouls... which isn't ideal flavor wise but I haven't had the heart yet to come up with a new unit for them.
That not all in pack you have 36 legionaries 18 velites 3 Commander 3 Signifers So You don't paint all army 😀😀
What did you use for the bases meaning what material??? And size in US sizes thank you.
the bases are MDF so medium density fiber board that was laser cut to the right proportions. 3mm thick and 50x80mm so roughly 2x3.5 inches and 1/8th of an inch thick
As far as rules, look into Loose Files and American Scramble. They're free and serve as the obvious basis from whence other more current rules have evolved. British Grenadier and the Little Wars TV rules, Live Free or Die definitely lean on it.
Feeling an AWI itch starting myself. Subscribed to keep up with your build out. Good thing about AWI versus Napolionics is that there really is more scalability. From the Forrage Wars in New Jersey to the larger battles to the Brits Southern campaign, there's a lot to choose from. Look forward to your progress.
Very impressive army!
They're such lovely miniatures, so full of character. You've painted them so well too!
How do victrix gauls compare to warlord in terms of size? For cavlary - victrix is gigantic when compared to worlord. Is this the same with footmen?
They are a little different but it's nowhere near as bad as the cavalry. The Victrix cavalry is weirdly large. They don't match the Victrix infantry either. I mixed and kitbashed the Victrix and Warlord Gauls and I didn't see a problem when they were all together. Gives some much needed variety to the Victrix Gauls
Fantastic job they look brilliant. im painting the forest dragon lizardmen then dwarfs.
Great update. Those Epic figures look amazing. 👍
Will you be doing revenant cavalry?
probably not. I'm kind of happy to consider the army finished and want to focus on some other Oathmark things now. But you never know :D
These chaps are looking brillaint my friend, and the walls are great too. Ive found that you can use 28mm walls as "castle" walls for 6 and 10mm game too.
Nice terrain and the troops look superb
