How is your Cataclysm Classic leveling going so far? 🤔

Thank god for dungeon finder, Idc whst people think but waiting for hours to do a dungeon is not fun

They added heirlooms, it’s ruined classic instantly

Im sure classic classic wow is on the horizon once we are at the end of classic shadowlands

I’m leveling a shaman in Cata. I’m playing sod to I played wrath back in the day a little bit. I regret not stating sooner.

I shoulda played classic years ago. Now I’m leveling in Cata. It’s fun. But I’ll never forgive myself for not starting sooner

Pre Nerfed ulduar progress was the best fun i ever had in Classic so far, bit disapointed about the post nerfed cata raids :(

I have an idea.. maybe blizzard can create separate realms in season servers only for new players or new raiders... i as a new wow player had a bad time starting with wow classic because it seems that like every one knew what he had to do at the start of the game and like all players expected everyone to know exactly what to do before and inside raids... and it created a bad community... maybe a new vanilla for new players will be a nice idea...

I wish they would have kept just one or two Wrath Era servers

well done but I have to disagree with the Ulduar part. Ulduar opened alot of eyes of "bad" guilds who simply couldn't do more than 3 mechanics at the same time (or prepare at all). That is when alot of casual "gamers" quit or went back to classic easy mode stuff (to make them feel strong). Gamers will game. Do not allow the shitbags to dictate difficulty or anything else. If you can't play more than 2 hrs a week in an MMORPG....go play something else. Idiots. Play Helldivers. Play Palworld. Play with your taint. Find a guild that isn't "conducted" by selfish idiots and blast bad guys. Go woke, go broke.

for me, naxx was the worst raid i have ever done so far in wow`s history, so tedius, easy and too long

Personally I’m going to miss Naxx, I’ve played the game since original TBC and wrath classic is the first time I’ve seriously gotten into raiding and being a part of a guild, even was raid lead for a majority of Wrath, I’ll never forget the memories I’ve made but I’ll say that Naxx was my favorite part of Wrath

What will you miss about Wrath Classic? 🤔

A good permanent tested Classic Plus is the future I think. Going down the route like Turtle 🐢 WoW or Project Epoch. Having a good homebase there with finally finishing the zones and content, HD Graphic Pack (not the new animations) etc. Still taking time in between the little updates - the key element here is to add things whilst changing as little of the core as possible. So we have a good progression Classic Server with no potential dropp off around Naxx like always

SOD is from blizzard that made Diablo4, and CATA is from blizzard that made Diablo2. That's the reason why CATA is way better than SOD

I think mop is the last classic they should do. After that make a mega server for classic, burning Crusade, wrath, cata, mop. Also burning Crusade is the last "classic" xpac. We've been in retail territory since wrath classic launched

Saying cata is classic is copium.

Never fixing quality of life problems in classic content nor addressing the radio actively toxic community is why I stopped playing.

I'm currently playing cata and watching cata videos and all I'm thinking is when are they going to release mop classic? All I want is mop classic PVP

I'm just going to enjoy Cata raiding & Battlegrounds. I do not think they continue this ride into MoP but it has been fun. What I "want" for the future isn't something present day Blizzard Microsoft could pull off. They need to ban about all addons that track player performance metrics (parsing) & load to external systems asap (warcraft logs). It really is ruining the game for too many people now. SoD is about to flop harder than they expect in this upcoming final phase (it gets super boring/toxic quick). Cata will be fun IF they can deliver this expedited cadence with actual communication & support along the way (beta/pre-patch launch were terrible).

I'd be really happy if they did a classic reset server where they have gear drop at a about 50% more and xp set to 200% to 300% and did outlands with no flight mounts made 120% land mounts instead and made flight paths accordingly. Make the rewards of flight mounts account wide that would have otherwise been there for the rest of your wow chars on other servers and perhaps a unique one for the server itself.

Just have a server that has up to Wrath but BC and Vanilla content STAY like they were. Don't nerf and dumb down the mobs and areas. Keep all the elites, elite. Keep the health and damage of everything AND the time it takes to do everything.

Runescape devs released an older version of the game. Then they set aside their pride and updated it WITHOUT just re-releasing all the things that made people want the older game in the first place. Gotta be willing to admit that a lot of updates and new ideas were shit, and little by little you wore away what actually made your game good. Now, over 10 years after the release of Old School Runescape, it has nearly 10 times the amount of players as the newest version.

SOD died for so many people when the community started to gatekeeping raids and dungeons. Espeically now with the $25 addon that lets you see character parses its over for anyone who can't play the game full time.

2nd comment as I got further in the video. I wouldn't blame Cata's quality on SOD existing simultaneously. Blizzard had a large chunk of layoffs are the start of this year, and it's apparent it laid waste to the QA Team. Cata Pre-Patch and Season 4 releasing within a week of each other and both being down horrendous with bugs is no coincidence. Either way, stuff'll get fixed in time. Hope they figure it out.

It's interesting because after playing Phase 1 of Wrath Classic I determined it was just too Retail for me to keep playing, as a Retail player already. But fast forward to now I certainly don't feel that way anymore, as I returned and am prepping for Cata because it does actually feel different enough. Moral of the story is.. Cata is still Classic and Wrath P1 fucking sucked fucking ass.

The problem I think is in the minds of the playerbase of WOW, and perhaps the developers themselves, that WOW is a zero sum game. That having TBC or WOTLK servers is going to hurt server numbers. You hear it all the time, "You don't want Cata or Retail? Go play CE, stop asking for TBC or WOTLK", as if someone asking for TBC or WOTLK is content with those 3 options but is demanding too much. It speaks pretty poorly of your version of WOW when you feel people having other options is going to ruin your experience. "Splitting the playerbase" is just code for shut up. Let people play what they want.

I like the concept of season of Discovery. Having things level/time locked with the old world was fun. Personally if they made cataclysm its own era server it would have been better received. I personally hated cata back in the day, and so far still hate it

I think Classic Era is underrated... most of the problems in the "bad expansions" were related to content droughts or bad grinds etc.... These are all problems that can be avoided in an Era server. I'm hoping they just go through all the expansions in order with a pretty short cadence between patches. I've kinda lost interest in SoD... it has morphed into a version of the game that just highlights everything toxic about WoW.

I'm excited for cata it's going to be fun never raided it so it will all be new to me. I would also like to go to MoP for classic. The remix for mop wasn't great. Where we go from there who knows. But vanilla and bc were very mid and doing vanilla over and over is not the way. I don't plan on playing SoD at all. Really think seasonal game modes are a waste of time and resources for blizzard

splitting the player base even more? there is already 5 versions of wow. theres no way adding 2 more will be healthy

So, I didn’t get well. I already done the quests pre patch of troll to get toy etc (those one are specular of gnome with). And I have a Orc shaman boosted at 80 (of corse 🙈) by the blizzard epic pac. So there are many many quests I didn’t are target for my level but of the previous expansions. I would like to do the cataclysm pre-patch contents. Are there some quests specific or events to do with my caped characters?

Struggling to get through the leveling. I'm just bored, idk the pacing feels weird. Like it's slow but very easy.
