Is Season of Discovery’s Future at Risk?

- This week we got a sneak peak at what's to come for Season of Discovery, with new content that is due in Phase 3 and Phase 4, alongside some current updates for Phase 2. It was confirmed that in Phase 3 we will be getting a 20 man raid. This was confirmed alongside Molten Core, one of World of Warcraft's most iconic raids, making a return as a 20 man raid in Phase 4. Season of Discovery has been loved by the Classic World of Warcraft Community, however, such judgements for upcoming content has caused a divide once again between people who want only 10 man raids, or those who want to see the return of 40 man raids. So, let's take a look at the new updates and check out what is next for Season of Discovery.

they already teased karazhan crypts and a scarlet raid at blizzcon. so since theyre doing temple of atal'hakkar at 50 it would only make sense those would be coming at 60.

40 mans are guild killers forces people into mega guilds with tons of drama
no 40 man, keep gdkp perma bannable
OPPOSITE of Wrong Turn... QOL must haves. 40 mans isnt something to look forward to keep. ( Nightmare for anyone trying to gear )
I agree 20 mans are likely the best way forward - I get hopeful and nostalgic for 40-mans until it's time to organise one...
Classic isn't about being fully BIS buddy. Having 40 people with diverse characters (irl) makes it all worth it. Banter, clashes, drama is what gives its special core. Big guild vs guild fights while trying to achieve something in the world like world bosses is my core memory of og re-release of classic. It's painful blizzard devs listen to >le red dit 'people' instead of proper players. Doomers have been right about SoD going retail lite route, and it is sad to see.
why do ppl think that 40 man raids are good for SOD 40 man will kill SOD the guilds out there are not big enough ppl will not want to deal with organizing 40 ppl this is not classic vanillia thats not why we decided to play it. its a different adaptation so 20 man the smarter choice. attemptiong to go to 40 man will alienate to many players.

40-man is fun to me and I‘d be sad and dissappointed if there was no 40-man raiding whatsoever…
I like making MC, maybe BWL or AQ40 to 20-man, but I have so many good memories to the 40 man raids.
Subcommunities, strategizing, drama, it would all be majorly reduced with 20-mans.
I hope a few new raids will become 40-man since SoD is about the community and going back to old guildstructures.
@@didinuts5071 so glad you took time out of your day to point out pointless things. Including that you are a major minority on 40 man. If you want 40 man there is classic era, or hard-core is another choice. People don't wanna deal with the headache of 40man for a seasonal server.

Im not saying it needs to be 40-man tho. For all I care I'd be happy if there was a 60-man Raid later

I can not get a Gnome run nobody takes Pugs and you are expected to have epic gear just to enter the raid in the hope to get epic gear! the gate keeper factor to enter is beyond RETARDED BFD was at least accessible now you just get ignored and wait in a Que that offers no raid spot Guilds have there set 10 people and then ignore the rest Ive seen this over and over its becoming un playable.
Leveling my second toon As warrior is un playable basically wasted all my time leveling a toon that is not playable and never invited to anything,
Can not make any gold and still cant afford a mount I get ganked as much 5-8 times a day and any greens I post on AH wont sell these are the things that are making this game not FUN.
No it's not ur gear it's your logs. You don't need the raid gear to do decent parses. What's happening is you did 0 prep work before going into gnomer and expect to be carried. You lvled to 40 got 0 pre raid bis and parsed a 15 because you don't know your rotation and have terribly stated gear.

It is proven that most to all Pugs get ignored, its fine Im not a Gate keeper like you I am a Player just Like you! and I will wait until Gnomer is on Auto clear from the Public at this stage Warrior has nothing to offer the raid!! And that is why!! not your stupid summary with a dash of Gate keeping attitude!! this game is for everybody! the Bosses are not Hard they are Armored Like Nax so groups are formed on best CLASS!! you are just a Mean ass person gate Keeper we all have the right to play the Fucking RAID!
@@onlyhuman3281 it's bad to be bad at Wow. There's tons of info out there to get you to be a better player. Maybe don't join the streamer server where everyone is toxic AF. Certain green items sell incredibly well. Learn what sells well. Don't sit here and complain that you can't make gold because you don't know what to do. Again the info is out there. There are tons of good making videos. Hell you can make tons of gold just fishing. It's not hard.
