- Cataclysm Classic is heading straight for World of Warcraft Classic pretty soon, and recently the Classic World of Warcraft Team at Blizzard hosted a live Q&A, revealing details around Season of Discovery, current Classic Wrath, as well as some notes on Cataclysm Classic. As a result, the debate surrounding the controversial expansion of Cataclysm has once again rose. Cataclysm signified a lot of changes for World of Warcraft, and is often highlighted by many as the start of a steady decline for WoW and the end of 'Classic WoW'. So, with so many issues surrounding the expansion, can it actually be a success? Let's find out.

Unlike how SoD and classic has been? The game you seem to want dont exist anymore
I don't know, man. So many players I've played with are no more in the game. So few left. It's not the same game I've started playing day one in Hydraxian Waterlords EU several years ago
Will Cata retain its players from wotlk? No. Will it come close to SoD in players? No. I think it might be good due to some real nice raids and all but dollars to donuts it sure wont be BIG.
Il still be playing it due to not playing cata the first time around

Ill say this: i don't think ppl will be playing cata and neither will i. Blizzard managed to introduce level boost and wow token into classic so far so no thanks, and if wrath players dropped which is considered the best expansion then cata will too. That all plus subscription is a bit much.
That being said, all ppl saying it was a trash expansion and beginning of the end for wow, these people probably never play it, repeat the same opinion over and over and were filtered by the fact raiding, pvp and dungeons in cata were way harder than anyhing that came before amd required them to use their brains.
Common arguemnt from the time is "world isnt the same" and "game is easy" (didnt actually give any proper examples).
