Great video RFM! While you were speaking I realized that Christians generally believe that they are saved by the grace of God. However, Mormons do not know if they are saved because they are still striving to put in good works every day and always need to do more. Unless of course, the second anointing is received, then a Mormon can know for sure they are saved.

The gospel principles class and it's book are no longer used the church stopped all back in 2018 around the same time the prophet said we were to stop referring to church member's as Mormon's or LDS and stoped referring to people looking into our church as investigators we refer to non-members as friends and church members are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints the official ruling was we could no longer refer to church member's as Mormons or LDS because we're taking Christ out of it

My seminary teacher addressed the problem with the generations and vast populations in The Book of Mormon: He argued that every family was HUGE and that each couple begat DOZENS and DOZENS of children.... And how did he define a "generation"? He taught us that a generation was between ten and fifteen years. Concerning these BIG Nephite and Lamanite families, he once said that people were "more fertile in those days." See! That was easy! You can solve ANY problem that presents itself in Mormonism! Just argue that the ten- and fifteen-year-olds are reproducing in vast numbers!

Here is one of Joseph Smith's BIGGEST "fingerprints" in The Book of Mormon: In the Eighth Chapter of Moroni, there is a fervent denouncement of infant baptism. Had Joseph Smith BELIEVED that infant baptism was a correct practice, the Eighth Chapter of Moroni would not exist. Clearly, Smith used his "Book of Mormon" as a means to spread his own religious ideas -- including his belief that those who practice infant baptism are evil.

I wonder what the mortality rate was among the Nephites and Lamanites...? Even in the Common Era, people died from diseases at frightening rates. How many people die from germs in The Book of Mormon...? Joseph Smith didn't include the prevalence of germs or diseases that afflicted the peoples of the ancient worlds. Strange....

I find it odd that Nephi uses the phrase "the Jews" so often instead of "our people" or "my people." "The Jews" sounds cold to me.

The Priesthood of Aaron is called "The Aaronic Priesthood." The Priesthood of Levi is called "The Levitical Priesthood." The Priesthood of Melchizedek is called "The Melchizedek Priesthood"...? Wait. That can't be right. "Melchizedek" is a noun like "Aaron" and "Levi." "Aaronic" and "Levitical" are ADJECTIVES that describe the TYPE of priesthood in question. The Priesthood of Melchizedek SHOULD be called "The Melchizedekal Priesthood" or "The Melchizedekian Priesthood." Someone made a mistake.... The Melchizedek Priesthood, we are taught in Sunday School, is the HIGHEST priesthood -- that is, the priesthood that Jesus himself used (and uses). Why is the Melchizedek Priesthood not called "The Christian Priesthood" or "The Messianic Priesthood"...? Mormonism is DEEPLY flawed.

My seminary teacher was in his 70s and didn't give a shit about anyone's feelings. Concerning this curse, he was very explicit in stating that the Lamanites were DARK-SKINNED and that the dark skin was the CURSE as well as the SIGN of the CURSE. This was back in the late '90s, so this teacher is no longer alive...but I seriously doubt that there are ANY seminary teachers out there who would be so blunt.

I don't judge Paul Dunn too harshly. I, too, have used other people's stories as my own. Then again, I don't claim to be anything other than myself. I'm not trying to sell a mansion or a planet in the afterlife!

BoM has no real substance. The characters are Just a bunch of stiff obedient rule followers rubbing their virtue into everyone's noses. Even though Nephi is a thief, a liar, and a murderer. It's interesting how according to mormonism. Doing bad is good in god's eyes as long as everyone gets to benefit in the end...

Its interesting that they say that being born again isn't an event. That the events in the BOM are not typical. One of the selling points of the BOM is that it is for our day. Why would God put something in repeatedly if it was not applicable to us now.

This is brilliant

Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. He offers salvation to all and exaltation to those who can humble themselves and seek to take upon them His name. The Book of Mormon is an honest testament of a small fraction of people to whom He ministered during His earthy ministry. You can know that for yourself. This channel is not a place that will offer you the opportunity to do that. This man presents misleading, dishonest and erroneous information because he seeks to draw people away from this church. At one time, it seems, he believed but he lost that somewhere and now actively engages in the tearing down and demolishing of faith. It is sad to see. Christ’s grace is abundant. And it alone saves. This is what I was taught in the LDS church. Check it out for yourself. Don’t be discouraged from doing so by these misrepresentations and dishonesties.

RFM, that was an excellent analysis of being born again through grace alone and not of our own works. I was born again after 60 active years as a Mormon. Relationship not religion is my new walk with Christ. Thank you for the insights. God Bless!
