I look forward to your Mormon Sunday School lessons and you never disappoint. You always give me something new to think about. Thanks for sharing another great lesson!
RFM, that was an excellent analysis of being born again through grace alone and not of our own works. I was born again after 60 active years as a Mormon. Relationship not religion is my new walk with Christ. Thank you for the insights. God Bless!
Great video RFM! While you were speaking I realized that Christians generally believe that they are saved by the grace of God. However, Mormons do not know if they are saved because they are still striving to put in good works every day and always need to do more. Unless of course, the second anointing is received, then a Mormon can know for sure they are saved.
Its interesting that they say that being born again isn't an event. That the events in the BOM are not typical. One of the selling points of the BOM is that it is for our day. Why would God put something in repeatedly if it was not applicable to us now.
Not surprising to see “salvation by grace alone” in the BOM. It would have been Smith’s belief at the time, which would have reflected the theology of the evangelical church.
There are many big volumes of Joseph Smiths visions and reverlations and we believe also what the bible sais that we must confess faith repent and be baptised
Please don't use the name of the church for your own purpose,These are only your opinions even though you read.a lot ,what matters most are inspirations from the Lord not yours
Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. He offers salvation to all and exaltation to those who can humble themselves and seek to take upon them His name. The Book of Mormon is an honest testament of a small fraction of people to whom He ministered during His earthy ministry. You can know that for yourself. This channel is not a place that will offer you the opportunity to do that. This man presents misleading, dishonest and erroneous information because he seeks to draw people away from this church. At one time, it seems, he believed but he lost that somewhere and now actively engages in the tearing down and demolishing of faith. It is sad to see. Christ’s grace is abundant. And it alone saves. This is what I was taught in the LDS church. Check it out for yourself. Don’t be discouraged from doing so by these misrepresentations and dishonesties.
@@birdlyword2 I’ll be happy to review the talk, but I suspect you may be confusing salvation with exaltation. Oakes does love to talk about exaltation.
You wouldnt have a clue if you understood the plan of salvation you would be honest not judging others and loving everyone by respecting their beliefs also you would want to concentrate on living a good prayerful Christian life christ can come any te and we are all going to be judged by him
Those of us who see the inconsistencies of the LDS religion and who have left the LDS faith need a community too. RFM gives his time and energy to create these videos for us so we can better understand the BoM and our experiences. He is very knowledgeable and fair. From what you have said, it doesn’t seem like this content is for you but there are lots of people who need it and enjoy it!
We do NOT believe in salvation by grace alone as a latterday saint we believe FAITH and belief in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ Repentance Baptism by emersion And the laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost the guy doing this podcast is changing our beliefs he picks out scriptures to go by but you need lots of scriptures to get the full teaching
The inconsistencies and contradicting positions published by the Mormon Corporation are merely being exposed. RFM didn't make this stuff up, Joe Smith did.
You are regurgitating what the church wants. Did you not listen to the quotes of scripture from the BOM? That is all RFM did was ask….”If the BOM is the keystone “ why are we required to DO so much? I think you have had a challenge to your conflicting beliefs and it cause you to feel the discord. Many follow that and really begin to study. Good luck I. Keeping your foot nailed to the floor

This is brilliant
Almost like JS's theology evolved as he gained more followers and power.

Why doesn’t King Benjamin mention baptism at all? It’s something I’ve wondered for a long time.
When are we going to get another lesson?!
RFE (Radio Free Europe) routinely had their broadcasts "jammed" by the KGB, Stasi, etc.
Is RFM being similarly "jammed"?

Why do exmos study the book of mormon more when they are out of it than when they are in it? It's really weird

I was taught in the LDS church that Christ's grace is also conditional. See President Oaks' April 98 conference talk.

Should there be a difference between Salvation and exaltation??
Isn’t to be saved and exalted the same thing?

Shame on what you are saying and doing.
He's doing it because he knows he gets views from random lds members looking for study guides.
