Why is it every game my formation reverts to default and I have to change it to user and I also have to put in my new keeper at the start of every match as it keeps switching it to the guy who was there originally, what am I missing?

I had this game. Stupidly sold it along with my entire collection. Sad times.

I loved playing Tomb Raider on the Saturn. I must admit I preferred the controller to that of the PlayStation. My friends and I used to swap the controller around if we died and completed the game in one night it was brilliant fun.

Subscribed, I just got my Saturn fixed and I remember playing this back in the 90's and bought a saturn copy. I never cared for the graphics back then. I am looking for some more games.

I always liked this game - it was actually also on PlayStation, where it was renamed to NBA Fastbreak '98. PC version retained Saturn title, and I played it there. Compared to NBA Live 98, it never looked so hot, but the animation was better, and gameplay was way more realistic, even including long-term injuries. Overall, this is is the best basketball simulation on Saturn, and it was the best basketball simulation on PC, at least for a year, maybe even longer - until NBA 2K series, created by the same team that did NBA Action '98. So this is a actually like a prequel to that series.

it was a nice game but I enjoyed way more Fifa 98 than any other footie game on the Saturn

The first NBA game I played on a Sega console was NBA 2K1 on the Dreamcast and I absolutely loved it! Couldn't put it down. Quite possibly my personal favourite NBA game. Without any research, this looks like a predecessor to that game...or maybe this is common knowledge and I'm just ignorant to the fact. I'd have played this nonstop if I had this as a kid.

Surprised by this one, i never give sports games a look in. This looks better than expected.

I’ve had this in my ‘Watch Later’ play list for a fortnight now… Just waiting for the right time to watch it 😅 I adore both these games - each plays like a dream in my opinion. The short Ridge Racer city track is the best designed course in racing game history. It is endlessly replayable (a good thing given the lack of content!). However, the playability of Daytona USA is unmatched. It looks rough, particularly the final track, but the handling is peerless. The music is iconic. For me it edges RR, but it’s very close!

The best you can play on the Sega Saturn

Decent graphics for the Saturn, never played this one though. Looks smooth, I'd dare to suggest this was the best Basketball game on the console.

*Whilst I'm not a basketball gamer, I think it will be tough for any other NBA game on the Saturn to surpass NBA Action 98!*

I've played both and PDS was to me what FF7 is to you. I played FF7 about 4 years after I played PDS, both in my teens. That said, I think overall FF7 wins out in terms of being a complete package as a game. In terms of graphics, I would put them at about equal. The fully 3D environment in PDS looks worse generally but the fact you could actually explore a fully 3D town with variable camera angles wasn't exactly common and really helped the immersion. Moreover in my mind, the 3D models contrasted poorly against the excellently produced prerendered backgrounds in FF7. I got used to this, however. I think the art direction is better in delivering tone in PDS than FF7 but both are good. Sound wise I think PDS wins out in evoking emotion. Both are MIDI but FF7 emulates the SNES soundfont too much IMO. Sona Mi Areru Sancitu is just flat out amazing. Village of the Seekers and Wandering beats out Ahead on our Way, Atolm Dragon beats out Jenova (I love both though). No comment on Rufus's March, there really isn't a marching esque song in the PDS soundtrack. Combat wise FF7 wins out because PDS's combat is frankly broken if you know what to do and FF7's character stat progression and combat is much more multifaceted. Story wise, I think PDS presents it better but FF7 is more substantial. Both do a very good job at what they do given their runtime and I never really thought there was much filler in either game. FF7 is a proper grand adventure drama with solid themes of what it means to experience loss, whereas PDS starts as a flat revenge story but escalates into a story that asks questions about what it means to live in a post apocalyptic Truman show powered by ancient technology to keep humanity from killing itself which I find more fascinating intellectually

It was John Carmack's idea to have the team making the Saturn port not use the custom engine. Years later he would say that he regretted making that choice.

Is still working your ODV-GBS-C ?. ¿Have you ever had problems with the Wi-fi of this adapter?. Because some times I lost my configurations, and the Wi-fi is a headache 😮‍💨 and I haven't been able to update the firmware because my USB port is not recognized by my PC.

It's surprising how much smoother it is than the later EA Sports titles. EA really never figured out how to program for the Sega Saturn, or maybe they just didn't care.

If you hadn't played this game back in 1996, then you might not like it, and now we have it aging on Playstation 5, the Director's Cut Resident Evil, also what do I think about Resident Evil Saga Saturn vs Playstation, in all honesty this is my first time seeing the Saturn version and it looks amazing.

I remember the Magazine “Game Pro” gave the Ps1 perfect scores while giving the Sega Saturn mediocre scores. Game Pro magazine was definitely Sega haters and Nintendo and Sony fan boys.

I loved seeing the yearly progress AKI were making with their wrestling games at the time. It would have been very interesting to see how the series developed if they hadn't moved it to the N64 though. Although it does feel dated compared to just about every other entry it still was so much fun in multiplayer. Although it did still feel way more Japanese wrestling because of the presentation or the lack of it. Which makes sense seeing it was essential a Virtual Pro Wrestling game with the WCW branding slapped on it like the PS1 game was. Me and my friends did have countless hours of fun though and they weren't even really big wrestling fans but like many N64 games it was just easy to pick up and play and have a good time with.
