A clear dry day over the Easter weekend was a great opportunity to take on the George Fisher Tea Round again. The challenge is to summit all 10 peaks as seen from the George Fisher cafe window in Keswick. Although it was an enjoyable day out it proved to be very tough in places. Total distance was 29.7 miles with 10,881 ft of ascent in a time of 9hrs 31 mins. Summits are as follows: 1 - Catbell...

Congrats, very well deserved 😅😅😅
Thank you ☺️
Stunning, how do you get the routes.
Thanks Keith. It’s an event hosted by Beyond Marathon. The routes will also be available on our Strava 👍
Great effort guys! Came across you both as I'm doing the Bob Graham later this year and will be doing the Tea Round as part of my training. Just subbed to your channel 🤙🏼
The Tea Round is such a great route. Best of luck with your Bob and thanks 👍
Awesome job guys, well done
Thank you. Loved it!
Well done, great video.
Thank you so much ☺️
Great video! I am Lila from HITWAY, an ebike brand, we want to cooperate with you, are you interested?
Hi, thanks very much. No, I don’t think e-bikes are our thing. Thanks though.
@@TrailRunningCouple Thanks for your reply! I appreciate and respect your thinking.
Brutal but something tells me that you enjoyed that - well done both of you - if you had been allowed you could have brought Marley along to be doggy powered hes got four paw drive lol
It’s was definitely brutal and after 10 miles or so we both wondered how we were going to cover another 32! The scenery was that amazing that it helped us so much. Everywhere we looked it was stunning. Marley would have loved it and would definitely have given us an added dimension 😂 Thank you ☺️
Well, that was cracking. We really enjoyed that. And as I said to my wife, that was a tough day out on th trails. Good to see you both smiling all the way through. And also the homage to the Spine, those daft buggers are still out there I think....
Thanks both, appreciate it. Definitely one of the tougher days we’ve had on the trails. Had us thinking were we ever going to finish after around 10 miles or so. It was so hard going!!
I wondered if you was doing it again 😁 Super well done to you both and to be honest i did look at doing it as well. I didn't as i dont feel too fit at the moment but i would have loved that snow conditions. Loved watching you do it though and another top video. I also did sign up and was put on the waiting list for the 'Pendle way in a day ultra' but unfortunely i didnt get that place now, so ive just signed up for Penine Barrier 50 which you did. I remebered the video of that and loved it. Unfortunately that wont have any snow on that race 😆
Thanks Andy. You would love this, not just the snow but the route. It’s so much better than last year now they’ve removed a few road sections and kept us on the trails. Highly recommended. Never done Pendle Way in a Day but will at some point. As for Pennine Barrier, that’s a good one. You know what you’re getting with the Y3P’s but the Malham Cove section is great as well. Best of luck for this new year 👍
As always a great video. Those conditions looked brutal, yet stunning at the same time. Well done to you both 👏
Thanks so much. It was definitely the stunning scenery that got us through that one. Very tough going indeed!
Awesome video again thank you, looked an epic route that. What jackets did you have on?
Thanks Steve, the route was really good but the conditions made it even better. Loved it! Jackets are Montane Phase Nano.
@@TrailRunningCouple awesome thank you.
Thanks for doing this. Absolutely awesome. My 9 hour target time became over 12 hours actual. Now I have evidence as to why this happened!
Time soon passed didn’t it, definitely not at the same rate as the miles did! It was certainly a tough day in the trenches for sure!! Well done on your finish 👍
Well done to you both! I did the Spine Sprint. Parlick and paddy’s are my locals I run often with my dog. Hope you enjoyed them! ❤
Absolutely loved them! We’ll definitely be back for some more exploring. Congratulations on your sprint which must have been in very similar conditions. Very tough going 💪
Tremendous video congratulations for getting it done, happy new running year to you both.🏃🏃xx ps say hi to Marley.🐕
Thank you Tommy and a Happy New Running Year to you too! Marley says hi back, he’s currently running around with his call causing chaos 😂
Your like a pair of human snow ploughs treading through that beautiful landscape absolutely amazing watch thank you
Thanks Trevor! Actually we could have done with a snow plough, would have made for easier running 😂
Well done to you both. Tough conditions but you did it & within a great time 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼❤️
Thanks Sally. Happy with the time in those conditions given our recent lack of long training miles. I think it was the amazing scenery that got us through it ☺️
Well done you two really appreciate what you do . Thanks again for the video
Thanks so much Martin 🙂
Well done guys and a great video. Saw you on the way down from Fiendsdale Head.
Thanks so much, appreciate that 👍
How tough was this, I thought I recognised you guys but it never clicked until afterwards. I was incredibly humbled by the whole course
I’m 10 mins in and feels like I’m having PTSD. Might have to finish this one another time 🤣
Definitely one of the hardest things we’ve done. Epic day out though. Memories of that will last forever, probably more a case of scar me forever 😂
@ it’s the furthest I’ve ever been and it kicked my arse. Went through every spectrum of emotion. I’ll be wearing those scars with pride haha. I would do it all over again, just about walking okay now. Wish I realised why I recognised you guys 🤣
Well done both of you. It looks stunning but it made it really tough for you but you both showed a lot of mental and physical strength to get it done
Thanks Dom. It took pretty much everything we had. At points we both wondered how we were going to get to the finish as it was so tough going. A tough start to the year for sure!
Excellent, you guys certainly captured the day well. From the highs of the glorious weather to the realisation that it was going to be a long old day out. 😊
It’s take long to realise we were going to be on course for a while 😂 One we’ll never forget, that’s for sure!!
Omg you went through a kissing gate and didn't kiss!! But an excellent video nevertheless, and what glorious conditions.
Haha, thanks Lizzie 🙂
Thank you for sharing these awesome views. You are amazing 😊
Thank you ☺️
Well done both such a great achievement. I’ve been running In bowland for 5 or so years and I’ve never seen the snow that deep looks so tough . Your proper hard souls getting it done ✔️ congratulations
Thanks so much Greg. Quite an experience and certainly feel lucky to have been part of it 👍
The decent you mentioned is fiensdale head down to Langden brook but this time you was heading up that way and down hazhelhurst fell to bleasdale. The climb you did up parlick is one I do often and it never gets easier !
Thanks. Need to go up there in less snowy conditions to see the trods!
@@TrailRunningCoupleyou’ll love it 😀
All you guys are just awesome. ❤
Thank you so much ☺️
What a great event and filming😊😊😊
Thank you Mike 🙂
Brilliant video looked unreal in the snow. Well done to you both 👏
As you know, it looks even better in real life! Awesome day out. Thanks Kev 👍
@ totally agree it’s even better with the human eye 👌🏔, great miles and great start to the year that
That looked hard. What do you wear on your feet and lower legs to keep them warm in the snow? It was beautiful though. Stunning scenery. And I'm sure it was very refreshing breathing the cold air. You guys are tough. Thanks for bringing us along.
Socks were Inov8 Extreme Thermo and leggings are Montane thermal. There were no issues at all, kit performed brilliantly. Thanks for your comments, much appreciated 🙂
Great tunning in great weather. Well done both.
Thanks, absolutely loved it 👍
Great run great video amazing scenery, keep making the awesome video's
Thank you ☺️
Not used to seeing Cheryl slip over it’s usually you Gary 😂
😂 We both had moments yesterday, one of mine snapping my pole!!
@ I did the same last year coming off red brook on the kinder Dozen I slipped and snapped my pole my friend was in stitches
@@Love-life-always-smileexpensive cock ups aren’t they? 😂
@ I mean the pole was the last thing on my mind after doing the dozen you both know the hardship of the route 😂😂
What jackets are you wearing if you don't mind me asking
They’re both Montane Phase Nano jackets. Brilliant kit.
That's the word...... amazing. Amazing achievement and inspiring. (Are the volunteers paid to scream when you arrive?).
Thanks Alan, it was brilliant 🤩 😂 at the volunteers, they really make it too. A good check point gives a good reset before venturing out again. Brilliant the lot of them 👍
Really enjoyed rewatching this. I lost my sense of humour on that last big hill though 😳
Did you notice there wasn’t any footage from that part? I went waist deep in a bog on the last top. It was a case of survival to the finish with it being so cold once wet. Hopefully you’ve warmed up as well too? Thank you ☺️
Pretty sure I was following you two up there, I just kept thinking your lights would disappear when you got to the top and dropped over the other side but everytime I looked up you were still higher than me. It lasted a lifetime 😂
@ Didn’t it just! I knew that but from last year but the snow made a world of difference!
Amazing as always guys luke.😊
Thanks Luke 👍
Just signed up for this, knew you 2 would have done a blog on it. Looks like a belter.
This is a classic route with a bit of everything. Been a while since we’ve done the route. Must do it again! Never done the actual race though. When is it?
