Second time watching was the charm 😂 i did miss the dunk in the water first view 😅 all part of the fun in deed , was windy at the top , myself ( 56yrs almost ) and my son ( 29yrs ) both ran THE COBBLER ( Ben Arthur ) here in scotland last weekend , was lovely TAPS AFF 😂 weather on way up , then it turned on Us and was baltic at the top and wet wet wet on way down , really enjoyed it though , 2 hours running the mountain and roughly jogged around the top summits 😮 taking photos for about an hour or so .. what better way to spend an afternoon 😊
Thank you, for the second time 😊 Dunks in water, wind and rain are indeed just all part of the fun and what can make a day! Your day out sounds like loads of fun too. We haven’t done too much in Scotland but I can guess what the weather would be like at this time of year 🥶 but as you say, no better way to spend an afternoon 👍
Another great video, you two are different class,I'm back out running in the Ochil hills in Alva Scotland after having blood clots in my lungs last year,I'll bee 77 in April, all the best guys.🏃🏃
I seriously hope I can continue running into my older years (51 now). Good on you and great to hear you’re well into recovery and back doing what you love 👍
Hi hope you two are well sorry I've not been watching or commenting on last couple of videos my Mrs hasn't been well I've still been getting out just not been watching much. Did catbells maiden moor high spy yesterday wind was bad on catbells love maiden Moor high spy you don't see many people it all to yourself. Thank you for the video really enjoyed it 👍👍
Hi Martin, really sorry to hear that. Hope Mrs Penrice is on the mend and feeling much better. You’re right, many get to Catbells and don’t push on to Maiden Moor or High Spy which is a shame as it’s such a great route. Never many people around. Appreciate your comments as always 😊
That was an awesome run. You guys are animals! That must be quite the wind on those peaks? 30-40 mph? And running through that cold water! Amazing run! Well done.
Lovely place to be Andy, even in the wind and rivers! Trust me though, if it would have been my hands in the water it would have been met with the same laughter! 🤭
@TrailRunningCouple just a local run - I live in the Chilterns which are not proper hills! Hill training therefore takes some ingenuity but I managed to wrench 1600 feet of ascent out of trails and country lanes near home.
Och darn ,im about 3 mins from the end and realised even if i let it finish i am gonna watch it again tomorrow , missed a bit doing sunday night things 😂 oops its finished , still gonna watch again 😅
Yes they are! This route is essentially the Dawdle route but instead of staying low level around the Lake we went up the fells before rejoining the route 👍
Lol the reason sheep are that they have four foot drive and you only have two foot drive - a windy rainy one there but thank you both for taking us along with you
@@TrailRunningCouple it's always when you're cold wet hungry and generally wishing you had stayed at home that you meet them and they look at you like - watch me I know what I'm doing..lol
Hi Mark, many are planned ourselves using Plotaroute which we uploaded to our watches. We’ll also search for races or challenges and sometimes modify to suit what we want to achieve. You just have to love technology, it makes life so much easier 👍

Yes, probably around that for the wind. Quite gusty 💨, still loads of fun in a challenging way. Love it! Thanks for watching 😊
Wet gloves Cheryl and Gary laughs....thats not good 🤐😉. Great vid though. I feel i know Braithwaite a little too well now also 😆

Thank you - lovely to have a Lake District fix while tucked up in my armchair recovering from my run this afternoon.
Thank you, love the Lakes.
Where did you get to on your run?
@TrailRunningCouple just a local run - I live in the Chilterns which are not proper hills! Hill training therefore takes some ingenuity but I managed to wrench 1600 feet of ascent out of trails and country lanes near home.
1600ft isn’t to be sniffed at! Locally we would struggle to get that so for anything decent it’s a drive 😔
Cracking route. Might have to nip up there next weekend
Thank you! Lovely area are views of you get a clear day 👍
Thanks for another cracking circuit😊
Thanks Mike, great to be back in the Lakes 👍
Nice bit of wild swimming there Cheryl 😂😂. Olympic diving trails next?
😂 I think I’m lacking the finesse required but never say never!
Super route guys !
Cheers Ken, lovely area to run. Had a brilliant day 😊

Roll on spring, great run 😎
Indeed. Some great races to look forward to this year. We’ll definitely be glad to see the back of winter!

Awesome video as always guys. Quick question, do you plan your routes yourself of do you get them out of a book/ gpx?

Thank you. I hope Cheryl is OK. Don't forget to blur out your registration plate.
She’s fine, just a slip. Noted on the reg plate! Thanks 😊
