Thank you. Over 50 years ago and the mountains haven’t changed a bit. I the Travellers Rest hasn’t much either. Lovely place to spend a night and an evening meal. Also great to wake to a full English breakfast before tackling the fells. Appreciate your comment, all the best 👍
Another great vid👏👏 yep you've gotta get a dog once you've had one you'll never be without one, there's some good one's to be had from rescue centres, thats where we got our first one back in 2012, what a great dog did a full round of the Wainwrights with myself, the Mrs, & the Kid's & A lot more, he loved the fells but died three yr's ago😢if you're gonna get a dog get a good working one, it'll absolutely love what you guy's are doing👍
Thanks Will 👍 We’ve already discussed that we would like to take a dog from a rescue centre rather than a puppy. We both feel like we would be doing our bit considering the large amount of dogs waiting for homes. A 2 year old would be perfect and as you say, a working breed would make the best fit. Sorry to hear of your loss, definitely one of the family 😢
Yeah when we got ours he was 2 perfect age really, we would have had another one from a rescue centre but three years ago during Lockdown you couldn't get one for love nor money, so we got a pup & he's 2 now, he loves the outdoors as well ATB👍
Great video as always guys. If you haven’t seen any of his videos, check out Bushman & Blue. Blue is his Border Collie & is amazing in the mountains. Keep up the great work
Incredible views! I can recommend a border collie if you are looking for a four-legged trail companion, they can mange good distances (once they are old enough), perfect for your weather conditions, they are mostly well behaved and no problems around farm or wild animals if you encounter them.
Thanks Alex! Not stuck on anything at the moment. will probably look towards a rescue dog rather than a puppy so it'll be a case of finding the right match..
What watches do you use, please? I am tired of finding that my phone has stopped recording, halfway around a run. Thank you for the video. Some of those descents looked a bit sketchy.
A real fun day out! Watches are Garmin Enduro 2’s which still had loads of battery life left after doing Lakeland 100 over 34.5 hours. Real work horses!
Another Great watch guys you certainly put yourselves through it hope you are ok from your fall. Again absolutely stunning views.
Hi Trevor, thank you. My leg is fine, just a scratch. It’s been a great week in the Lakes, loved every minute of it!
Tough but enjoyable week👏👏 been great reading about your adventures 👏👏
Very enjoyable. Absolutely loved it Ian. Thank you 👍
Absolutely awesome video, what a cracking route. Top week of first class training 👍👍
Thanks Johnny, it’s been a blast. Absolutely loved it 👍
Even grey days can be inspiring when you are out on the trails. Great effort
Not finer place to be on a day like that. Loved it. Thank you 👍
@@TrailRunningCouple I’m in Hampshire and visit Devon to see relations, it’s great to film where you love to run
Wonderful. Had a night out near The Traveller’s Rest, before doing Helvellyn (at a much more genteel pace) … and that was over 50 years ago 😂

That was almost mystical, in the snow, cloud and silence.
It’s an unbelievable experience being up there in those conditions. Doesn’t get any better. Thank you 👍
The snow certainly makes Swirral Edge a different proposition from usual!
Definitely. Just have to take a little extra care but I do think it makes the ridge descent even more enjoyable if that’s at all possible! Thanks.
"There is no hope for this one " classic 😂 great film 💪
Haha, just went and nothing I could do 😂

Sounds perfect Will, hope we’re as lucky 👍

Thanks John, we’ve seen a few of his videos a while ago. His dog is fantastic!!

Thank you! A collie does indeed sound like the perfect dog though we'll probably look towards a rescue centre so will have to find the right match.
Aye brilliant ❤
Thank you 👍
What a epic break you've had! What breed of dog are you thinking about?
Thanks Alex! Not stuck on anything at the moment. will probably look towards a rescue dog rather than a puppy so it'll be a case of finding the right match..
Deffo, I'm toying with the idea and looking at rehoming too. Guess you'll need a pooh with bags of energy!
@@northender2006 Definitely! Will be great if we find the right match.
You've covered more in a week than most "hikers" cover in a lifetime.
Definitely been a busy week but we would have found it difficult just looking up. Had to be done!! Thanks 👍

Hi can I ask what jacket you guys are using in these last few videos please ??
They’re both Montane Phase Nano’s. Brilliant jackets.
@@TrailRunningCouple could I also ask I know you use a go pro what editing software do you use ??
Hi Kev, we use LumaFusion on an iPad Pro. Does a great job for us and very easy to use.
@@TrailRunningCouple thank you. 🙏🏻
Gary, Gary, Gary.....you've certainly mucked up your chances of appearing on Dancing on Ice now, bitterly disappointed.....
Haha, all it took was a split second though I do think I rolled and bum slid with epic style so points have to be awarded 🥇
@@TrailRunningCouple in that case. Its a ten from Len....
