Pinching Hip? Impingement Test
Do you have pinching hip pain in the front, side, or back of the hip?
This test may help you determine if you have hip impingement.
Generally hip impingement is described as an inflammation or tearing of the tissue around the hip socket due to repetitive stress placed on the pelvis by structures of the femur.
Two common risk factors for hip impingement are…
1.) Excessive anterior pelvic tilt (think butt sticking out)
2.) A collapsed/overpronated foot
These positions can lead to increased internal rotation of the femur relative to the hip socket increasing stress at the impingement site especially when the hip is flexed (as demonstrated by the test in this video).
Having a better understanding of how to strengthen in a a neutral pelvic position and maintain it during your lifting, walking, and running is crucial to your recovery. Knowing how to grip the floor with your feet and how to rotate the femur outward will also help knee and hip issues…WIN,WIN!

Pelvic Joint Mobilization for Anterior Rotation
มุมมอง 4916 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Learn how to treat an anteriorly rotated pelvis with a simple at-home muscle energy technique. This method uses specific hip muscles to realign the pelvis to a neutral position. What is an Anterior Rotated Hip? An anterior rotation of the pelvis, often on the right side, is common among athletes. This misalignment can affect leg length, muscle tension, and neurological feedback, impacting perfo...

Are you injured? Trauma or Training Injury? Let’s unpack!
มุมมอง 543 หลายเดือนก่อน
At the end of the day, we can categorize every injury into two buckets: Traumatic Injury and Training Injury! Traumatic injuries can be greatly prevented through lifelong training and proper recovery. However, sometimes sh#t happens. Training injuries, on the other hand... The demand placed on the tissue exceeded the capacity of that tissue. This normally lies in the realm of lack of stability,...
HONEY I SHRUNK THE POPLITEUS!!!

The Popliteus is the deepest muscle💪 of the knee joint. It is important for "unlocking" the knee when the knee is in an extended position, it also helps to perform several critical functions during the gait cycle. Poor movement patterns (suchas over-striding during running🏃♀️ & excessive pronation during walking) often weigh heavily on the popliteus muscle leaving it prone too weakness and inj...

Suppose after a knee surgery the knee will bend but the leg will not lay straight or flat ?thank you
I cant even fully bend or straighten my knee (
Heads up, It's pronounced "Quad-ru-ped" not "Quad-ruped". It's a noun instead of a verb if that helps get your head around it at all 👍
Lol! I'm just out here making up words.
Why is this so hard to do??
It’s definitely not a natural movement for most lol!
No way I can do any of these 4 days post op. Mine needed surgery. 😩 I have two plates put in after severely breaking and dislocating mine.
Mujhe 2 month ho gaye he
I don’t comment a lot, but that was efficient and spot on. I’m a kinesiologist and it gave me really good ideas and help me complete my program. Thanks and cheers from Canada.
Week one! Broke my collar bone 😢
High Grade MPFL tear
Are you okay now Sir?
I just broke mine 3 days ago , Hope we all get our strength and agility back soon
You too lovely 💙 I'm week 1 into my collar bone break 😢 keep in touch!! ❤
Sorry to hear that, I broke mine a week ago
Broke mine 2 days ago
@@dofio8345 Ouch, are you ok???
Get well soon
I can't do anything of these after 6 weeks of surgery with plate He didn't mention time from when we can start these exercises
God bless you man🎖🎖
Its like you're fooling us You go straight to hard exercise You don't go through the step by Step Do you think a beginner can do that? Even raising their hand is difficult
6 weeks in and I'm anxious to start these exercises I can feel the pain already from watching 😖
Did it completely snap? I am almost 6 weeks too and wondering if I should start these exercises too. Do you go see a doctor soon? I think they can better tell when you can start rehab exercises
@shintyty yes right down the middle and yes I actually go next Wednesday for more x-rays that will be exactly 7 weeks
@@skylarnicely6496 Nice nice! I got lucky so mine did not completely snap, so I am hoping I can recover pretty quickly. I will go see an specialist next Thursday which will almost be 7 weeks, and I can't wait for it because I want to start exercising again. I say we are in this together and I hope the best of recovery to you, and I hope it all goes well. We got through the hardest parts!
@@skylarnicely6496 How did the x-ray go? for me, they said it is healing slowly so I go see them again in 4 weeks. Good thing is I can ran and move my arms now
9 days now
Great video
Glad i am not alone in these comments
Broke my coller bone 1 month ago but still can't do this 😣
Just broke my collar bone yesterday. Im using arm sling. Am I allowed to that exercise now?
No !! Keep you arm in a sling for at least 5 weeks . You need to let the bone heal . I'm on week 7 and only starting light exercise. Take care .
Seeing this vid now just broke mine 2 days ago
Don't worry mine also broken and healed now am on my 7th week doing exercises
I am on a mission to solve my knee issues. Welcome to my Ted Talk. I first dislocated my right knee my sophomore year in high school playing in a friends pool. Excruciating pain. My friends dad was a chiropractor and he straightened my leg and it popped back into place. Hurt for a few days and then went on with my life. I ended up dislocating it a few months later playing soccer and then a couple weeks after that while playing guitar on stage. That 3rd time it swelled up like a softball. I bought an over-the-counter knee brace and wrap. I wrapped and braced daily for almost a year in fear of it happening again. I avoided all athletic activities since then. After a few years me and a friend started playing racquetball at a local gym. We played for months and one day I dislocated the same right knee. I vowed to never play another sport in my life. Put the brace back on for a while after. I haven't dislocated that right knee in 10yrs. I did lots of weight training with no knee pain but I always avoiding sports, pools, and even dancing. I'm extremely aware of where my knee is at at all times. A month ago I was at a gravesite stone setting ceremony with family and I went in to shovel gravel around the site. I favor my left leg even though I'm right handed/footed. I lean over my left foot and grab the second shovel load off the trailer and my left knee dislocates. It popped back into the place when my leg extended and healed up within a couple weeks but now I'm extremely conscious of any movement. I told my wife I can't live like this anymore. I can't play football and soccer with my 6yr old and I'm very careful how I navigate with both legs now... I always think to myself if I had hurt myself doing something dumb then I could blame myself but all I did was shovel a load of gravel and my knee failed me. I'm on a mission to understand the failure in my knees and correct it to the best of my ability. I don't need to do heavy physical sports activities but I'd love to go hiking and at least run around with the kids.
Would like to know more on how you are exercising to make your knee strong.
Mera 7 weeks
Broke my collarbone in 3 places had to install clavicle clamps permanently the problem is that I have four broken ribs also so some of those exercises hurt my ribs
Kitne week ke bad kr skte hee
Also judging by the way your moving it looks like you've never injured your knee a day in your life lol
Please don't do this, wait until you are fully healed before starting any of these intense workouts.. you may be on bed rest for months before being able to attempt this, if you can't walk normally yet then don't attempt this
I Just Got Dislocated 2 Weeks Ago And In Bed Rest Not Moving That Much Moving Just To Go To Washroom Is It Okay?
Thanks for the routine, started doing this 6 weeks after my accident and it has been helpful (although painful!) for regaining mobility and strength. Appreciate you for putting this out here!
Can you please tell me the excersises and what leg do i do them on? I dislocated my knee last sunday and i can walk with pain tho, what can i do to be able to bend my knee again
Ab Kese Hai Bro Tu Knee Bend Ho Raha Hai Pain Wagera? Or Kitne Time Baad Beng Kar Pai Thy Knee
5 weeks into snapping injury, no surgery. Sc joint is really painful, but I have a 90% full range of motion with a little pain. Barely can do these exercises but every day i feel better !! What is strange, that at night lying in bed (only on back) is really uncomfortable!! Lot of pressure on bone, i feel even the slightest movement.
Looks like an aggressive excercise already. Is this done after 12 weeks of surgery?
What does early stage mean? I still cant bend my knee
How are you doing now? I dislocated 2 weeks ago
@@violet7659 hey. I got surgery 2 weeks ago. Everything is slow, but good. I am at almost 90 degrees of flexion, 4 PT sessions in. Keep faith
@@BurstWalkthroughshow’s your knee now please?
@@BurstWalkthroughsfeeling okay now? I’m at week 2 and I can only bend my knee up to 90 degrees. Anything beyond that feels like a lock in the joint of the knee. Hmm
@@Rhymely_Brown hey. Im fine now, but i will never be the same as before. My kneecap is still not perfectly in its groove. I still haven't recovered my whole muscle. I am still going to gym.Other than that, its ok, i started playing tennis again. Hopefully nothing else will happen.
Bro these are very heavy exercises even looking at them is hurting my leg
Is this exercise is for self healing or in surgery
Early stages haha! I can't do these exercises even before dislocation!!
Is this allowed even the bones are not yet connected, but it's already 8weeks after the accident?
Wait until it is healed more. Then start slowly. Make sure it is healed first!
I have a broken clavicle a few weeeks ago, and when I tried doing this. It’s excruciatingly painful, it’s impossible for me to lift my arm
This is for after you have healed to get motion back. Hope you are feeling better.
oh dear lord did your doctor not tell you not to raise the shoulder above 90 degrees for the first 6 weeks at least and wait to see if bone has healed?
Wait after 6 week s😢
I dislocated my knee 2 times in 2 months but haven't seen the doctor yet. Do I have to go for the doctor?
Good job
The comment section was more helpful than the video TBH🫥
Frrr😭😂😂
How can he lift his arm over his shoulder with a broken collarbone
Looks like a dance
Heel slides is easy just to slide or i should push harder while sliding ?
Lmao Ik it's not related to the video or your comment but it's amazing to see another fellow Louie here 😆🤭💙 . . Also I think you're supposed to push just a Lil harder
Good
I have a lateral patella 😭 Will these work to fix it?
What's that
Going to try this tomorrow ان شاء الله
My clavicle broke like that in video. Today is 1 month and 8days. The doctor recommended use a arm sling for 2week. But my clavicle is not in line. It is okay for healings?
Don’t do none of this fucking shit
Okay so I dislocated my knee in the shower and as soon as I saw it I pushed it down and it popped back in place. Off course it swelled up and stuff but It healed after a couple of weeks with no ligaments torn or broken bones. The doctor said I have a very lose kneecap. It's been a couple of years and it feels normal. I even do heavy weighted squats. I think it's because I re aligned it immediately after dislocation. Idk 🤷♂️ makes me wonder what really happened to my knee and ligaments because it's like it never happened.
I dislocated mine at work at fortunately there was 4 ems workers near by 2 of them helped me pop it right back in....that was almost 3 years ago and I'm still dealing with massive swelling 😢
update?
Heavy squats made you knee strong thats why
Godd exercises but you SHOULD NOT do patella play. It will weaken the ligaments and make the injury worse.
I need a video That supports a broken wrist and clavicle recovery in the same arm
I got plates & screws in left wrist, before I recovered, I broke my collarbone- plates & screws, too. Both rehabs are so different. Spent $$ on hand therapy for wrist, which I'm thinking is more critical. Just replied because I can kind of relate to you & it sucks! I got plates in my other wrist 2 years ago & I can kind of plank on it but push-ups require a dumbbell
