  • Hip C.A.R.S. are one of my favourite hip exercises. C.A.R.S. stands for controlled articular rotations. They are not hip circles!!! During hip circles you whip your hip around and think you did something.
    These are amazing for overall hip health because you are rotating your hips through the biggest range of motion possible (without compensating through the back) with tension and control. Simple. Effective. Impactful.
    The joint capsule is the first line of communication between the joint and the brain, and rotation is the best way to interact with the capsule. Joints that move well also receive better nutrition.
    Long story short healthy joints promote long lifting careers and surgery-free hips!
