Love your new home! Is everyone you know ok in Nepal?
Yes thanks Katie and thanks for your concern. I’ve been in touch and all are well though they felt the quake. Frightening for them after the devastation in 2015 😢
You're living the dream! One day i'll have to do this as well
You’ll never regret it 😎
Very cool
Thanks 😎
Happy Birthday!🎉
Here in the States we call that a hangover due to New Years festivities!😂😂😂
😂😂😂 🎉🍻🍾🥂😎
Well said katiewells9498!!!! May this tribe increase, yours as well, and me too😊
Family and friends are gold! Enjoy
Wow, you guys just stop! Beautiful 🎉
It's a great place to get away from it all and just relax 😎
Very cool
Love it. Beautiful video!!❤❤❤❤
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it 🌲
i like
Love your videos, have you considered a shoulder strap pocket for your phone, I have a great light one that fits my IPhone and reading glasses, from Gossamer Gear…
I agree! That's definitely a good addition to the kit 😀
Beautiful sunset
It was a magical day on the water and the sunset was very pretty, all so peaceful and relaxing 😀
Very cool
Thanks and Merry Christmas to you 😀
Interesting way of life ' nice looking cats 🐈 can't comment on dogs!! Let me know when you see them 😮

Thanks Jim for all your interest and support 😀
Wonderful nice to see your adventures James
Thanks James 😀
I'm not sure but I'm crying while watching this <3 I am currently reading the book with the little Emilie 7 year old and her mum who have done it. I have a now 3 year old and dream of doing it with her too once she's a bit older. I've just discovered your videos and am loving your content. Thanks so much for sharing! Where did you get your collapsable bowls with the lids? - I love them and would like to get the same ones to use now for my overnight hikes. Did you end up using them the whole way??
Thanks so much for your kind words of support. Victoria and Emilie’s story is inspirational for sure. What courage they showed throughout their journey. The bowls and matching cups are Sea to Summit and we love them. Great for cold soaking porridge overnight for a speedy heat up in the morning and mouse proof! Mine still bares the teeth mark scars 😆 You’ll find my Te Araroa A to Z Guide helpful in your planning. As well, I’ve written an essential gear list for Te Araroa which you’ll find on my blog www.freewheelingkiwi.com/blog/te-araroa-a-to-z-guide Happy planning 💚
I've discovered your wonderful website, what a great resource! Ohh I'll go see if I can find those bowls! Thanks for the reply.
Love following along these adventures ❤
Thanks for coming along 😀

Thanks as always 💚
Love following your journey. Thanks for sharing. Happy travels ❤ 🙏
Thanks for continuing along with us Katie 💚
May i ask what month this was, weather looks fantastic.
We started the Tour on 2nd November so reached Base Camp on 11 November. This is the autumn trip and yes we were so lucky to have good weather. Coldest was -22 Celsius at Lobuche. 🥶❄️🤧
Oh wow! How thoughtful and would be shelf stable and pass all agricultural safety regulations in most countries.
The porters could leave the milk powder safely in Lukla until we all came back down the mountain. The beanies, caps and Whittakers chocolates definitely came with the porters though not sure how long the chocolate lasted 😂😀
Congrats on your journey 😊
Thanks 💚
So cool!!
Thanks, it’s an amazing experience 😀
A comment for the journey 😊
Thanks 🙏
Kya aap mujhe cooking sikha sakte hain
No but you could take a cooking class like I did 😀
The quiet must be calming.
No traffic! How wonderful ❤️
What an adventure ❤
Enjoy the journey
Wow, congratulations.... that must have been extremely hard!!!! How much is air tanks now??
Thanks, we didn’t need oxygen to go to Base Camp 😀
Enjoy the journey! Congrats on reaching your high point!
Thanks 💚
If you defecate during the climb, don't forget to take it with you when you come down.
Right
How amazing to have a birthday there! 😮❤
A great place to celebrate
Incredible
Rock on!!!
You guys must be so fit! ❤❤
Wow, that's a special hike and trip ❤👍 I am happy for you two
Thanks
Well done! I'm not a climber, but I was in the Russian Himalayas a month ago. Mountains are difficult, but only mountains can do better than mountains! Good luck to you on every climb and successful returns home!
Thanks David, it was a very successful trip 🇳🇵
Thank you for sharing your epic journey
You’re more than welcome 🙏
Enjoy the journey
Thanks 🙏
I hope l get the opportunity to go there one day. It's soooo beautiful 😍 Nice to see the acknowledgement of Rob Hall.
I hope you do also Katie, it’s an incredible environment and the people are so kind 😀
So why you walked that track in that weather beats me. I've always carefully check out the weather first especially up there as tramping/hunting is meant to be an enjoyment isn't it? Not stuck in a small tent soaking wet. However good luck to you.
Thanks for watching 😀
Thanks for watching 😀
I love those explanations. In my opinion, it makes the trip so much more enjoyable.
Thanks Katie. It’s great working with the local communities and getting to know them better. We’ve been very fortunate to have had the same crew each trip and the friendships are mutual 🥰
