- The 2024 Acura Integra Type S delivers a powerful driving experience. It's equipped with a 200-HP VTEC Type S heightens the thrill of driving even more with 320-HP and 310 lb-ft of torque mated to a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission. The most powerful Integra ever also offers Sport+ drive mode for performance you can feel.
The 2024 Acura Integra Type S is much wider than the standard Integra, its integrated flared fenders have larger tires tucked underneath. The 19-inch wheels are wrapped in 265/30R19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires offering more grip and are inspired by the 10-spoke rims offered on the NSX Type S supercar.
Inside, the Type S offers front seats with a bit of extra bolstering that are trimmed in a leather and suede upholstery combination available in either red, black, or white. There are some features that aren't available on the Civic Type R, such as a head-up display and a 16-speaker ELS audio system. The front seats are heated, and the driver's seat is power-adjustable and has an adjustable lumbar support. The Type S gives up its center rear seating position, meaning it's a four-seater. The 9.0-inch touchscreen display has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability.
2024 Integra Type S starts at $50,800

Like this car. Look's awesome. But I still prefer the Civic R. Lighter, quicker. Function, not form for me! Super Vid Lauren.
I agree Bob. Thanks 👍
The performance is about equal. It's about 30 lb. heavier but has 5 more horsepower. Plus it was retuned for more mid-range torque. It's great that you like the Type-R better, but the performance is pretty much the same.
Is Acura weighs 100+ weight penalty. Source, Car abs Driver
Don't get me wrong! This Acura is smoking hot
@@bobdavis3357 Well every video I've seen that gives a number says 30 lb. I just now went through every article on the first page of Bing (I generally don't use Google) And only 2 article mention weight numbers. The first article was Car And Driver and the article was titled 2024 Acura Integra Type S Tested: Same Punch, More Polish. The article states that Car And Driver weighed each of the cars using their own scales and the Type S weighed 29 lb. more. The other article was from Hot Cars and the article was titled Acura Type S vs Honda Type R Comparison. They gave the actual weight of the two cars and stated that the Type S weighed 3,219 lb. and the Type-R weighed 3,188 lb. If you do the math it's a 31 lb. difference. The article states that they got the numbers directly from Honda and Acura.
I think you are always calmly analyzing each and every thing. That's a very credible review. thank you.
Thank you 😊
I own one. It is the ultimate smile machine. I was looking for a standard, performance vehicle that wasn't 80k plus and this exceeds all of my expectations!
congrats
How much over sticker?
0 over sticker. And I just got an email from my salesman saying they will have another one this week. @@Tigerex966
This is a must have vehicle for me.
Probably the most exciting thing on your channel in a while. Way to go Lorren
Thanks. I have to review everything
Did you see the Mustang Dark Horse?
I’m on a few waiting lists…CAN’T WAIT!!
Beautiful vehicle without question. Love the wheels and red brake calipers. Awesome rear end. Top speed of 167 MPH makes it a rocket ship. The car gives me the buying bug. Thanks for a really fun review.
Thank you!
@@CarCoachReports You are very welcome!
Acura gotta make a RDX TYPE S
That would be cool
The fact the advance package is not available on the Type S is a big ding in my mind. As for individual features missing, the big hits are no power on the passenger seat or lumbar, no 360 camera system, and no rear seat vents. Basic features that should be included in a car that cost $52K. Still an awesome car, just disappointing that Acura decided for whatever reason not to include them.
Lauren, I saw your video about Ford and its F-150 truck from Yesterday.. I want to tell you that no one really wants EV's. My parents are immigrants from India and I still have my extended family in india. I sometimes talk to them on the phone and this is that they say to me, "We are NOT going to drive an EV". Hence, this makes a very big statement that its not only Americans but people as a whole do not want EV's.
Great review on a beautiful car and 50k aint bad for a track capable luxury hatch.
I've only seen them MSRP around 57k so far.
There's so much heritage behind this car. They really did a fantastic job with this vehicle, in honoring previous generations.
freaking awesome!!!!!
The driver seat does not get the memory seat and no rear seat power outlets as they are standard on the A-Spec.
Awesome review.
Now I want one.
I love the color.
I would probably get a Panasonic moon roof installed other civics and Hondas have them just not in America vents armrest and usb in the back light tint window shields ceramic coat invisible bra the front half and 18 inch snow tires for the winter.
Only problem would be to get a higher res 3 d backup camera system and to add power adjustment to the passenger seat not sure if that is even possible.
You should like that car. That car is special.
@Lauren....
I'm torn I despise FWD. Especially when more than 200HP runs through the wheels.
And love Honda engineering. I'm looking at a wrx just because its not FWD. Should I stay the course or should I explore the integra type s. Is the torque steer been sufficiently dampened. Test driving one today is nearly impossible.
They have improved the torque steer. Take it for a test drive.
Over window sticker my dad always said three things at the bottom of the ocean lawyers politicians and CAR SALESMEN!
I have one reserved. but I have second thoughts due to interest rates and more.
It's so freaking cool, but it's almost 60k! You could buy FAR too many better looking/performing vehicles at that price range. If this were in the mid 40's it would make a lot more sense.
It’s is pricey. All cars are these dsys
@@CarCoachReports just seems like too much for a front driver. If they'd built it in AWD or RWD the price would feel more justifiable.
@@Jaystub to much for red as well awd maybe.
Shawd with torque vectoring plus front lines tied slip oh yes it would corner like nothing else on the road.
Wish they would sell them here in Scotland 🏴
Me too
Im a ford raptor fan too
Love my Raptor R
Mazda3 Turbo AWD please.
I test drove that one. It’s a really nice car for what it is , but having also driven a CTR , I think the ITS would blow the Mazda out of the water when driving at anything over 7/10ths.
$55k is no walk in the park. That is some serious money. You gotta think long and hard before pulling the trigger. Im gonna say its not going to sell. In 5 years, it will be $35k on the used car market with less than 40k miles.
Acura logo on the back, not Honda
#1
👍
Beautiful vehicle but not $52K beautiful. Most people would be happy with the A Spec W/Tech package for under $40K.
Got the A Spec Tech and it includes a moonroof and power pass seat. 😆
Not to knock the A-Spec, but it's only a 1.5L econo engine 😢
Honda GoldWing motorcycle has a bigger engine.
It´s cheaper as the Germans because no RWD or AWD option, no DCT, no modern interior with all the nice features you can get in 2023, no flat bottom steering wheel, no connectivity and arm rest in the second row, no bucket seat´s as a option, no pano roof.
No high maintenance cost high service low resale value and it has one to f the best manual clutch systems ever lot more room as well superb after market parts superb stereo
But no ventilated seats no rear heated seats or armrest or vents or USB ports.
No rear center passenger area at all.
No power passenger seat no memory seats
No pana roof not even a small sunroof option at all
No AWD option at all and Acura has torque vectoring shawd option in other cars all other cars it makes?.
No hybrid version at all.
Looks superb.
Much larger than German competition...actually close to the audi A5 fastback in size and shape.
Audi looks better from the side but this has it and front and back
Audi has a much higher quality interior and sport seats but no manual and you pay at a lot more for the Audi A5 sport back equipped the same.
Oh well all good.
I'm glad it is manual only as the Germans are auto only.
Manuals are l in their last leg and this is one of the best meaning this will have an high resale because manuals will be impossible in the future very soon..
@@Tigerex966 I´m wrote this to show why it´s cheaper as the Germans and nothing more, reliability and workshop cost´s is a other story.
@@alengreen589 o i c.
facts.
All good no attack on you
@@Tigerex966 thanks 😀
The problem with this car is THE GOLF R! No ventilated seating at all! The golf r is also cheaer!
No rear AC vents, no pass side power seats, no surround camera system. I love the car but it kinda falls short for the money imo
No AWD, not bothering.
Cost much 💯
151st thumbs up!
👍
At $52,595 it's not worth the hype. Seriously. Oh ya and tax and dealer mark up.Poor financial choice to buy something like this. I must say though that there are a lot of financialy illiterate people in this world.
So obnoxiously over priced.
Lol here is no way I take this over a Honda type S. It is the sa,e thing without all that red in type S. Honda all day every day.
This was funny to read. You mean the Civic Type R?
better exhaust note, better sound system, HUD, extra 5 BHP, better color options, gold rim option, no boy racer wing, more every day driving compliant suspension and lastly 4 yr/50k warranty vs 3yr/36m warranty on the Type R no brainer....... TYPE frkn S all day and on sunday for the xtra 7k!!!
It may be worth the hype, but like all Hondas, it is not worth the price. hold onto your bank account when you meet the dealership......💰🤑🙄🙆👺
Removing dealer markups from the equation, if we're talking about MSRP which is achievable, this car is well priced, moreover in Canada. Want to talk value, I bought a 2013 Civic Si new and 10 years later after less than $1000 of non routine work, most of that in the past year from understandable wear and tear, I can probably sell it for more than 50% of what I paid for it. Take good care of the Type S, it will be a Bring a Trailer car. The BMW on the other hand, anybody with half a brain wouldn't want to touch it with a 10 foot pole outside of the warranty period and the depreciation reflects that.
Also people usually leave out the amazing 6 speed shifter/ clutch Honda delivers because spec sheet keyboard warrior cannot quantify the joy and excellence it provides because they've never experienced it.
The FK8 had me curious but the boy racer look kept my wallet safe, the FL5 was harder to resist but I was able to however the DE5 ITS has me basically saying shut up and take my money. It's the best in no specific category but the most amazing allrounder and I plan on owning one in the near future.
