- 320 horsepower 310 lb.ft of torque, 6 speed manual close ratio transmission, Limited slip differential , adaptive suspension and brembo brakes. What's not to love.
The new 2024 Acura Integra Type S is the newest premium hot hatch to hit the roads and if you're looking for an incredibly engaging sports drive in an affordable package with a manual transmission? Look no further, this Acura Integra Type S will sure to put a massive smile on your face. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
I am currently a 10th generation Civic Sport owner, new Integra is definitely one of the few truly desirable cars available today. Type-S is even more desirable, as long as you can get one. Its about as hard to get as another desirable cars, Corolla GR and CTR. Kudos to Japanese, especially Toyota, Honda and Mazda, for continuing to commit on making affordable fun cars.
The Tyoe S is much easier to get than the Tyoe R as well which is another reason to get it.
It's only hard to beat if you can actually get one. I signed up for one on May 14, and I'm still waiting in the middle of September.
Love them' Just waiting until the dealers around me stop marking them up 5-15k...
Nice review!
Thanks Richard 🙏
This might be weird, but I had more fun driving this than an M2. I just wish Acura didn't skimp so much on features, no memory seats, no moonroof and manual passenger seat, no rear seat USB - and for weight savings? Makes no sense
If you don't care as much about performance, The A-Spec has all of those things you mentioned.
@@mikemccormick6128a spec looks so basic compared to the type s. That’s not even getting into the tiny engine.
@@kevinc2332 Yeah, it’s a totally different car just like the Type-R is a totally different car from the Si.
Creature comforts add weight. You had a lot of fun with it probably because it was light. It's a tradeoff.
Tbf to you, it's unlikely that small items like USB-C in the back adds much weight so that's most likely a cost-cutting decision.
I got to say, people were not liking the design of the new Integra, but it has definitely grown on me, and I really love it now. But this Acura Integra Type S takes that look and makes it even more aggressive and amazing. It has the best of both worlds where it takes the sporty edge of the Civic Type R, but still takes that luxury of Acura and makes it an all-around better daily driver. And yes, the Integra may just be a a more fancier Honda Civic Type R, but that's how it's always been anyways since the Integra first came out. Yes, this isn't that amazing DC-2 Integra Type R with that high-revving VTEC 4-cylinder that we knew and love back in the 1990s and early 2000s, but I got to say, Acura made this one great sporty car. Kudos to them. The shifter is that classic Honda/Acura precise, short throw, and has a very good feel through the gates. Honda/Acura really know how to do manual transmissions right. I don't think you can be disappointed with being stuck in rush hour traffic in a Honda manual car, because of how easy it is to drive and use.
The type s is 10 times different!trust me we still don’t like it! The new integra.
great car, that fender is huge, interior could have been better Acura, but as always, another great review!!
I just wish it had a sunroof.
What for? Just get a convertible
@@gabrielflores1149 haha
And ac vents in the back. And saved profile for the seats. And ventilated seats.
I've been going back and forth with this and the golf R. I seen both at MSRP in my city. But man.. 5k less for the golf gets me a lot more
@@TryingYourLvck And a rear center armrest too.
Awesome vehicle but $52K is pretty steep if you can even buy one at MSRP. I have an A Spec Integra with the CVT and it's a fantastic car to drive.
I heard they’re easier to get than the Civic Type R
I wish they didn’t use perforated alcantara. It just comes across as a bit less refined and less luxurious that full coverage alcantara.
This weekend I seen an Integra Type S priced the same as a DarkHorse.
I took delivery of a manual M3 a few months ago and I love that car as a daily but for half the price I am really loving this type s. I have been considering trading in since we have a msrp dealer for Acura local to me. Lack of 3 passengers in the back hurts because I do carpool a few people to soccer for my kids, and no adjustable bolstering in the passenger seat hurts for my wife. It’s still a ton of car for the money IMO and I continually keep coming back to reviews like this and considering it for a daily
Any shifter will get hot in the sun...what a ridiculous point by so many reviewers
Agreed! I currently drive a tenth generation civic si. I keep a clean microfiber cloth in the car and throw it over the stick shift for 3 minutes until the car cools a bit. Hardly a crisis.
Can't wait to drive my own Type S in twelve months!
You forgot to mention that a heated steering wheel is unavailable in the U.S.
It shows up if you build it for $475. Where’d you hear this?
@@kevinc2332 From a few different videos. I just double checked and it is available now. I previously went through the build process a few different times and it wasn’t available so they must have changed their minds on it. Well that’s good to know. Thanks for the heads up.
*On the refresh, for BETTER sales, Acura should:*
1. Add a sunroof (when was the last time an "Acura" sedan did NOT have one?)
2. Seating for 5 people, add center armrest in the rear
3. Charging ports for rear passenters
4. Offer SHAWD and +30 HP
not gonna happen lol
There probably won't be an update. After this runs its course in about 4 or 5 years, that will likely be the end of the road. We are moving into the EV era and it's unstoppable.
Shawd. And it’ll cost 60k so everyone can complain again about something.
@@kevinc2332 Not only that, it'll add weight. It's the only new car in its class weighing below 3200lbs.
I got it beat my 2021 AWD Mazda 3 turbo hatchback! I’ll be ready to hand out some cans of whup az. At street lights and do it with 10 times more reliability and luxury!
Kids love this ride. And newly divorced middle age dudes. Cool college car for short term usage. 👎🏼
It’s a hybrid SUV world folks. 👍
You forgot to include “adults that enjoy actual driving, want a manual transmission, and want a likely lower cost of ownership than the pricer German autos.” Hybrid SUV could be one vehicle in the garage, but need to have a fun to drive too.
