Yeah! Matt and John do this route as you quickly encounter city driving, highway acceleration, high speed curves to test holding the line and sharp cornering at the end! Then the last section is really bumpy so you can test the suspension and comfort :D It was a fun drive in the Integra Type S for sure. Thanks for watching!
Thank you!, and Congrats to you! It was a major feat getting that pre-order to work, I'm sure! Did you end up getting the color you wanted? I'm happy you were able to get that done!
@@PlasmadaeDal yes I spent two hours with three different devices until finally the pre-order went through! 😅 I traded in my 23’ Aspec in apex blue for the Type S in Tiger Eye Pearl 🐯 I really love the apex blue color so I thought about getting it again but then I thought new car I mind as well get a new color. And I’m so happy I did! I really think TEP is the best color for the type S! It really shows off all the lines of the car very well. I see yours has almost every option already on it. Were you able to get yours at MSRP? Also did the dealership give you the grey wheels as well since you have the optional copper ones on yours?
@deanmeon TEP Teggy FTW! I was not wanting that color originally, but they didnt have White on the initial 200, but got it as it was a Type S exclusive, buuuuut when I saw it in person, in daylight, I LOVED the color. So I hear you on that! It's such a blasted awesome color and looks different in different lighting, so it's a magical color. The Apex Blue in the Type S is quite impressive as well I gotta say. Happy that you got to keep the grey rims! Super nice of your dealer. I'm eternally grateful for my Acura dealer, they are awesome :)
Congratulations on the new sled. That car is SWEET! I had ITS on my shopping list, but I’m friends with a sales manager at my local Honda dealership where I had bought my 2.0 Accord and they had a Championship White FL5 Type R and he cut me a deal I couldn’t walk away from. The ITS has some of the creature comforts I prefer, but I still love my CTR. These cars are an absolute blast to drive.
Thank you very much! Oh man, that is really awesome, and I don't blame you at all. I would live to spend some time in the new CTR, and indeed, they are a blast to drive!
Awesome car good sir!! In January I traded my 2019 civic Type R fk8 and bought an 2023 FL5 civic Type R!! I love it a lot! The Integra Type S looks phenomenal and they did some things I wish they yea would have given the FL5! Congratulations I am happy for ya! I am a new subscriber and look forward to seeing more of your content! 🚙😀👍🏼
Thanks much! And thanks for watching! The CTR is another car that is pretty great. I think basically what they did here with the Integra was create nearly the perfect car! It's one of those cars that is a really comfortable ride, but seriously, the power band in this car is insane. I'd love to do a side-by-side comparison at some point once I learn all the intricacies of the Integra Type S, so hopefully some fun stuff ahead!
Just wanted to let you know, you had a huge part in helping me decide which car I'd end up getting. My 2025 Apex Blue DE5 is in transit and should be here by Christmas.
@Oompa_Lampuh Whaaaa?! That's awesome, and what we like to hear! The Apex Blue was the first Type S Integra I laid eyes on in person, and it's seriously a gorgeous combination! You're gonna love it, and I can't wait to hear that it has arrived!
Thanks for sharing your first ride impressions. I wish Acura could keep up with the demand of the car, but it is what it is. Seems most drivers like the suspension in Normal for everyday driving and the settings in Sport or Sport+.
Guess what? I was fortunate to have gotten my ITS white/red way sooner than expected. 4 people ahead of me passed on the car in preference to TEP and ABP. The accessories will get installed 8/1 and then ready to get shipped to me from Nebraska to California. I'm still a little shocked that it happened so fast. I expected to wait 3-4 mos.
@@dougsagon2156 Wha?!! So you have it now?!! That is seriously exciting news! I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that you are loving it! Haha! So awesome! I'm very happy for you. How has it been for you?
Thanks! So glad you enjoyed. I don't currently have plans to part with Teggy 2...I still love it a lot and it's a different experience than Teggy S....what are your thoughts?
Thank you! Yeah, the price is a bit of a sting for sure :P But Holy moly! It drives even BETTER than I had imagined....and I had dreams of some fun handling haha
Thanks! I am getting probably about 260 miles per tank, but maybe too soon to say...It's a small tank of 12 gallons, but not too shabby for how I've been driving it. My Aspec on the other hand I'll usually get around 360 per tank
Didn't know you had an A-Spec prior to this TypeS. You sure are well into the Acura domain. Hope the car takes care of you & you do 200K miles on it without a hitch
Yeah! I still love my 2023 6MT and has been a super sweet car for me with 12k miles and change. My 98 Integra is still a joy to drive with over 200k--i haven't driven it as much in the last 2 years because I have wanted it to last forever :) All three cars a fun in their own ways, but all have the Integra spirit within! :😀 Thanks for watching!
Haha, this thing seriously moves! I knew it would do well, but I couldn't quite believe it when I saw just how incredibly it handles. Congrats on yours! What color did you end up with?!
@accuratebrickinnovations That's great! The TLX S is a really great ride and has such awesome acoustics. The startup sounds are one of my favorite things, and the raw power. That car also keeps you completely stable, regardless of what the terrain is--im sure you've had fun with it :)
Hahaha! Yes, the shoes though! Once you slip into a pair, you'll always want them driving and the blue suede! Can't go wrong! Hahaha! I've always wanted to drive the ILX...hmmmm
@@PlasmadaeDal RED, they just told me the build date has been moved to today. Rumors are that they are have some quality issues and so production is dragging .
@jamwest3146 Can't wait to see it! Red will be pretty! It'll be worth the wait. I would definitely rather less issues if it meant waiting a tad longer :)
@jamwest3146 Hahah! Pretty soon you will also be all giggles! It's one of the most satisfying rides around and the fact that it looks so good is such a joy. I've loved every iteration of the Integras and Acura has more surprises for us I think! Watch for a video dropping soon about the accessories that I reviewed. There's a fun little add-on I installed myself that makes me smile :)
I think what he means is this manual is freaking amazing. It's one of the most buttery smooth and engaging 6MTs, that to get a better one you'd probably need to find a Porsche ;) My 2023 6MT is also fantastic and seriously amazing. The raw power of the Type S tho, is utterly impressive
@whatitisnt. oh yeah, all the way! The Aspec Tech 6MT is an AMAZING daily driver! Has all the amenities! It was also the very first 2023 Acura Inetgra sold since Acura re-released Integra, was the first 500, and the very first in my State, so it's sorta special to me ;)
I don’t think I could deal with a car with that short a range. I get they probably wanted to try to minimize weight, by keeping volume down, but that’s a drag to visit the pump so often. I echo the call for a new nickname. TEC Teggy comes across a bit…..limp.
Yes, the weight is a very bug deal here for the Integra Type S....they wanted it to be the biggest power-to-weight of ALL cars in its class....and mission accomplished there. The range is pretty decent, you get about 260 miles, but longe range you would get more....we'll see how future testing goes :) Historically, the tank size is an Integra thing....12 gallons. I do wish it was bigger, but where they fall short on certain things, they MORE THAN make up in other areas, so no worries there. My 1998 GS-R has 12 gallons, and I get about 28 MPG. My 2023 I get about 30 MPGs. But throw in this AMAZING engine....holy moly, and you forget about the rest.
Not first ride, but it's gonna be in my mote detailed driving impressions, but it's freaking AWESOME! I've got 200 more miles for break in period, then I'll be feeling okay pushing this thing a bit ;) Thanks for watching! Stay tuned!
