in this video i waste a bunch of sandwiches. we ate a lot of them, ok? a lot. it was a lot of food, guy. we did our best.
Gus Johnson plays all sorts of characters, from Mitchell Robbins to JK Rowling to some guy in God's Country to Imbiamba Jombes to filming videos with his mom to pillow guy to the my pool guy to the Gus & Eddy Podcast to small town reviews to shotguns in movies to the tough kid growing up to your friend who has a knife to spotify ad guy to the how they use shotgun to the gus johnson shotgun... I don't know why I am writing this in third person. I am Gus. I wrote this. Also subscribe to the Gus & Eddy Podcast please. Eddy Burback and I make it and it's ok. My brother is Sven Johnson, that guy's alright. Guys, if you put all this silly stuff in the description, it helps your videos. isn't that wild?
Thanks for watching and sharing! Don't stab people. I'll see you later.

After hours of extensive research, viewing logo and copyright patents, I can assure you that Jacks pizza (although originating in the 1960's instead of the 50's as is the case with Jersey Mike's) was the first to use the iconic font and color scheme. Indeed, it hasn't changed much since it's beginning.
Jersey Mike's, on the other hand, was actually just 'Mikes' until 1987 at which point it was franchised and took on the 'Jersey' moniker resulting in the current iteration of its company logo.

I’ve never worked at Subway but I’ve worked at a place that slices jalapeños, and we cut the tops off the jalapeños and threw them away before putting them in the slicer. In the fast frantic world of Subway they can’t just add several seconds to prep time every day, that just don’t fly.

    • @marisbrooding9347

@@eliwixson8863 fair enough. The restaurant I worked at got crazy rushes around lunch (filling up the whole large interior and sometimes out the door), but that's also the only food service job I've had so can't rly speak to whether the number of employees in the store at once/the amount of prep time we had was normal or not. Also I guess the store I worked at focused pretty heavily on fresh ingredients, so that would kinda skew it. Thanks for the insight :)

I wanted to know which chains were skimping on the jalapeños and who had the highest percent of stems, so I went through the video frame by frame because I have absolutely nothing else to do on a sunny Friday afternoon. Several sandwiches were difficult to see, like Wendys #4, Jersey Mike's #1, and all of the Jack in the Box sandwiches, especially #3. I didn't count super tiny pieces or banana peppers, but I did include the piece that went flying from Subway #2.
First column is the restaurant, second is the total number of peppers counted, third is the average number of peppers per sandwich, and the last column is the percent of stems in the peppers.

Five guys is the only place that doesn't have any stems because they're probably the only place to slice their own jalapenos fresh. Most other places get pickled jalapenos (which btw I never ask for my jalapenos to be pickled but they always are) shipped in either jars or bags prepped by massive food production facilities.

They could also have measured the weight of every item and divide the number of jalapenos by the weight. So they could post their results in the globally recognized stem/gram format.

You're getting a lot of troll responses, but I TOTALLY agree. Because there were WAY more jalapenos on the Subway sandwiches than the New Jersey Michael sandwiches, so the ratio definitely was a lot lower. I mean, no stem is acceptable, but if you get 1 stem in 4 pieces, that's way more egregious than 3 stems in 32 pieces
