I know this build is probably dismantled, but is there a world where you run it set to 75c Thermal limit?
I have a similar computer, also SFF, that was 60 FPS 1440p Medium Settings in games at 65c, then perfect 144+ FPS 1440p Ultra settings in everything at 75c.
Would love to see this tiny case pushed a little bit more.

I removed the Windows shell from the download. Instead I added Steam Big picure to the download.Via the registry.
My xbox gamepad keeps falling off from time to time.
Could the reason be the removal of the Windows shell? Or are you using a non-original bluetooth adapter? I think the shell may have a lower priority after deletion than Steam or the game.
And perhaps this is the reason?

Make sure you update your BIOS in this motherboard so you don't burn your CPU up with too high SoC clocks. Also, with AMD CPU's you need to apply a line or several smaller dots of thermal paste, because both AMD and newer Intel CPU's have chiplets spread out all over the underside of the IHS, and coverage isn't always as good from a single pea sized application. You'll often get a football shaped spread, or a circle that doesn't reach the corners with a single pea application.

This is the primary reason I want more GPUs like the 4070 but without the insane price tag. 4070 has low enough power draw that it can easily support custom coolers which are 1-2 fans. Basically similar to the 970 and 1070 which both saw mini variants with custom coolers for Small Form Factor PC Builds, the 4070's small board and lower power draw is perfect for another single fan custom cooler small form factor ##70.
I'm still under the impression though that the 4070 should of been marketed as a 4060. I think the 4070 is a great GPU, just it's relying more on Software improvements than hardware, which is insulting when taking into consideration the price they're charging. Currently, the market on PC and Console is saturated with pay to play titles like World Of Tanks/Warships, Fortnite, COD Warzone, Overwatch and hundreds of others. Not to mention almost every game has DLC, crate drops, coins, weapons/armor packs or skins. EA hasn't released anything in over a decade that doesn't try to force you into buying a bunch of crap that should be free. Naughty Dog, Blizzard, Gearbox, Ubisoft, Guerilla and Rockstar all thrive in that same DLC space. I don't think hardware is going to change the industry of game production. It's already too late for the that. My hope was that we move into an era where the hardware is truly powerful. We're not that far from actual PC prices anymore, so why don't we just go all the way in and have machines that are full featured, mid-high range spec? Small form factor PC is also getting much better. Now we can fit the best CPUs and GPUs into an ITX case the size of a shoe box. I was just saying that I think it's time to look beyond the limitations of console gaming or adapt the best features console for PC gaming. I like both, but not needing to pay an XBOX Live or PS Plus subscription for my PC is pretty great. If those were free, like they should be, I'd still be fighting for consoles.

@@690Dragonx the PC I'm typing this on is hooked up to a 4K 65" TV with refresh rates and response times comparable to higher mid-range monitors. GPUs have HDMI outputs since what? 2010 or 2012? Also, I have access to tons of XBOX and PlayStation games on PC plus thousands of AAA PC releases. I'm not trying to argue about platform. Console or PC. As I said, I have a PC, an XBOX and a PlayStation. I'm saying that consoles are starting to push into mid range PC budgets and manufacturers could soon pack full scale PC performance into something the size of a console. I play 4K ultra with Ray Tracing at 120+ FPS on PC. The consoles limit frame rates to 30 or 60 FPS at 4K. My comment is me simply hoping for technological advancement and performance improvements in gaming with all these smaller form factor cases.

I think you did a fantastic job with part selection and you basically maximized what you could get in that case with decent temperatures and minimal modification. It really doesn't look like you had to sacrifice any functionality or port availability.
I love my current rig but it is really HUGE in a big Cooler Master case. Sometimes I wish I built something much smaller like this. I wouldn't be able to OC it much in a case this size but with the R9 5900x and RTX 4090 you honestly don't get too much from overclocking. So I'd sacrifice maybe 5-7% for much better thermals and a sleek small form factor. Maybe I'll look into an ITX build as a refresh when Zen 5 hits the market.

Hey man one question here : The main challenge being the size of the case and of course the cooling of the CPU, and given the fact that you had to buy this very specific low profile Noctua (excellent by the way). Would you consider to buy and install a 10$ CPU contact frame (from Thermalright for example)?
i've heard that those things could lower the cpu temp. by 5 and up to 10 °C.
Seems to be a pretty cool, low profile and low budget solution to optimise the temperature and the performances? what do you think?

Planning same basic build - but ProArt 4080 & MSI motherboard This was very helpful.
I must have looked at dozens of cases - many that I found are not available (Dancase C4-SFX, etc)
I toyed with the idea of a Lian Li A4-H20 build, but I just don't like water cooler - probably some residual paranoia about leaks.
Then I looked at the Terra (love the way that case looks) but the best cooler I could spec to fit (thanks to the ProArt) was the Noctua NH-L9x65 - which they say will handle the 7800 x3d but it seems to leave no room at all. I really like the look of this - but the Ridge allows a better cooler and has the advantage of a smaller footprint.

You need to take the fans out. cut half of one of the plastic alignment nubs on the front panel and you either have to take out one of the knuckle clips on the side panel cause I hits the metal back panel on the gpu or mark the back panel, take it of, and use a dremel to shave a small portion of it off so you can use the side panel knuckle clip. This gpu just fits side to side. Literally, it touches both sides.
