The 6th gen has 335. It has 11.5 to 1 compression. It's one hell of a v6 that runs on low octane

I'm new to Camaro and bought a 2LT, so I'd love to see more V6 videos. Like you, I am also more interested in looks and sound over HP and TQ. I have no plans to race it, but definitely like the attention that I already get with it.

Does it come with a "CARB" (California Air Resources Board) Sticker? if not its useless... Does it trigger a 'check engine light'..? The cold air filter systems from K&N provide CARB strikers and never trigger a check engine light. It would have been nice to hear it before and after to.... running. Did you feel a different in performance? Sometimes I also experienced increased gas milage.
Did he get a different throttle body and if so witch one and where from ?
Do you still have to pay the dealer to do the tune that comes with it? Or do they just do it for free?

Thanks for the video. I'm a bit confused, title says this GM part fits Camaro 2016-2018 V6 but my understanding is it actually doesn't fit the 2018 V6. I've been told GM hasn't released it yet but soon will (as of my posting Jun 30, 2018) and the part number seems to be 84375772. Would be great if you or anyone can confirm. TY

No news yet from GM on V8 SS kit. Went by dealer the other day, their ordering system shows part not available and no ETA. Starting to wonder if part will ever be made available. Wonder what happen.

I'm curious to know if you can get a replacement foam ring. Unfortunately I lost mine when I opened the box in my garage and I never got to installing it. Now I'm ready to install it but I want to make sure I do it right the first time. Is it possible to buy it separate or is there foam material that I can buy up cut it out the same shape?

LethalGarage thanks for the quick reply. I called 3 different dealerships and it looks like it's not available asa separate part. I got a used GMPP cold air intake for a steal and that's the only thing that was missing but I resolved it with a workaround by using foam weatherstripping. Now I just have to get my tuner to recalibrate my tune for this new part to be matched up with my ported and filled intake manifold and my big 80mm throttle body.
Can you do the same install guide for the V6 GM aftermarket axle back exhaust?

I have a 1lt v6. Would you ever be able to do an install guide on the interior lighting for the doors ? I know it's not easy but I don't know anyone else who has done it.

I don't think GM sells this anymore. Yes a tune is required. I have no recommendations.

Good to see a familiar engine ;) What was the thing that dumps oil into the intake? I don't understand what it does lol.
+Peyton S. It how GM takes the pressure build up that contains gas and oil and dumps it back into the intake to get burnt off.
Oh so the PCV? I should hope not much oil would end up going through that lol

Your intake comes with a code you take your dealer and they can tune it.

@Lethal I never understood, why do the Intakes always have that box around them?
+Quinton Wideman Cone filters provide a drastic increase in surface area over a flat stock filter. The greater the surface area of the filter, the more air an engine can take in. The cone is simply a better design in the long run.
+Quinton Wideman but the box itself keeps the fresh cool air separated from the warm air in the engine bay. It is also usually open the same distance all the way around to make sure the filter can grab that fresh air evenly.

What does LGX mean? How would i know if my car has LGX?
+Aj Toma A tune allows the ECU to correct for the increase in airflow. The LGX is the code for the V6 motor from GM.
Aj Toma 10 to 12 was v6 code was a llt 2013 to 15 was as lfx 16 I’m assuming to 18 will be the lgx each motor had it last updates like on my 14 they did away with the headers and integrated them into the head to save weight and whent to a plastic intake and other things

🙁HELP! I got the mishimoto for my 16 ss but I took it off seems like there was to much airflow my rpm would take forever to drop .does that mean I need a tune?
+RENE a CAI won't normally do that. Try a rest of your system, disconnect the negative terminal on your battery for a fee minutes.
Overall, also make sure everything is connected tightly.

If you want more hp. You have to change the cams add nitrous or boost the engine.

@@masteroffire5793 All that is bull shook. The 95 Tahoe 5.7 made 200 hp. The 96 Tahoe 5.7 made 255 hp. GM did not use any of that stuff to increase the hp. They installed a hotter cam. Yes they went to CPI, raised the compression a little bit and added Vortec heads. The main reason for the 55 hp increase came from the cam.

......So its still in a box sucking air from a small fist sized hole in the bottom, just like the stock one? I'm really disappointed in GM on this one, not the CAI I would go with but to each their own. I would like to see more V6 stuff for sure.

How can the stock filter restrict hp on the v6 when the same air filter is used on the 6.2 Camaro? Check the parts numbers if you don't believe me.

The stock air filter is not restrictive on any car sold. K&N say it is so people will buy their filters.
I have CFM tests that prove otherwise.
It does not prove anything to me because I know better. K&N claim the 325 hp 2.7 ecoboost will make more hp with their air filter. The Raptor with the 450 hp 3.5 v6 use the same air filter. Again if you don't believe me. Check the part number yourself.

How is it cold air intake? It still pull air from the same place the stock box pull air from. It's worst. The stock box had more insulation.
