    Good vid man! Just purchased a 2017 camaro with 13,000 miles on it. Wanted one for over 30 years. Think I learned a lot from your video. Hope I wont have to put it to the test. Mine is a convertible with 3.6. Love the car. Thanks.

    Nice details and video quality. This looks like my 2016 Cadillac ATS 3.6l LGX 335hp motor (no turbo). I don't see many teardowns of 2016+ cadies. I have a check engine (LOW ECT temp) to deal with under that manifold. Now I know what to do before I get to the hard to reach cooling parts under the throttle/intake area. I can see my parts at 13:31 to the right. Thanks... reusable seals = good. Plenty of hard to see bolts for 1 more short guy.

      I have another video on the location of those items when the manifold is off ... It's very common issue on the LGX. I have yet to run into it thankfully. But yes you have the exact same engine

    Not sure if you know or not but is the radiator temp sensor located under that intake manifold? I have heard it was under there but I really don’t want to go searching for something and taking off parts for nothing. I was trying to see in your video but I could not see it. I have been looking for hours in other areas of my engine but no luck so far. Thanks for any input.

    • @HyperHawkCamaro
      @HyperHawkCamaro  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, but with a supercharger you don't really need a boost gauge. And since you will have hptuners you can log and view all that data from your computer. I would recommend and AFR gauge though.

    I looked into LGX threads and the common consensus is that there are no easy to install catchcans. What do you think about this?

    • @HyperHawkCamaro
      @HyperHawkCamaro  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I mean it's not a difficult install.. just takes a bit more to put in then a simple 2 port that doesn't help with crankcase evac.

    • @infernomaster2702
      @infernomaster2702 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      reason its harder on the v6's is because you HAVE to drill into the manifold for an extra hose for the catchcan. Harder install than most but still pretty straight forward, also plenty of vids here on youtube for the install step by step

    Question - what's up with the foamy "blankets" on the LGX's valve covers? I'd like to change mine's spark plugs, and those "blankets" make it impossible to do without removing the intake. Kinda wondering why they're there, and if removing them would be detrimental...

    • @infernomaster2702

    Which is better, A ported intake manifold with a big 80mm throttle body or a ported and filled intake manifold with the big 80mm throttle body?

    • @HyperHawkCamaro
      @HyperHawkCamaro  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ported or ported and filled is very little difference I think its a difference of like 6% airflow If I was doing a ported setup with a big TB I would just do the ported IM especially on the 6th gen. Filling was a big deal on the 5th gens because they have that big empty tongue area at the front that made a big difference.

    • @darrylpolite8722

      @@HyperHawkCamaro Thanks for the reply. This helps me out a lot because it was a big debate but I ended up going with the ported intake manifold and big throttle body combo with Overkill a little while ago. I was debating because someone felt like I should have wsnt the other route.
      I just want to get as much HP as I can before taking the full leap to go forcex induction to make sure I am getting the most out of my car. I've been keeping my eye on the price which is the stage 2 supercharger setup with Overkill.

    Hey I have the same problem on a Chevy Camaro V6 2019 with a P0300, Stabilitrack, and fuel trim on Bank 2 at -30… And the AFM does not work… if I explain you with more details, can you help me please ?😅

    • @remimazars3432
      @remimazars3432 ปีที่แล้ว

      2019 Chevrolet Camaro RS 3.6 V6 34000km
      - error code P0300 with engine light which appears 1 out of 2 times when the car warms up, let me explain:
      1-2km after leaving with the engine cold and between 1000 and 2000 rpm when it's a bit forceful, the car jerks and suddenly resumes normal operation but the engine warning light comes on as well as the ESC warning light which goes off 'removes him very quickly, but the engine light keeps flashing until I stop...every time unsteady idle with vibrations, it must rev on 5...i cut it and restart it generally runs fine and it' is distributed…
      But when I read the fault, it appears that:
      - code P0300: Random misfires on 1 or more cylinders
      - Long term and short term fuel fix on row 2: -35
      I therefore deduce that it overinjects
      Knowing that :
      - new throttle body
      - new spark plugs
      - coils changed rows and still the problems on row 2
      - new injectors
      And it never switches to V4 when it should… a link in all that??
      If anyone has already had the case or sees a link in all this… I admit that I have been starting to get depressed for 2 and a half months….🙄

    • @HyperHawkCamaro
      @HyperHawkCamaro  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The p0300 code is a misfire code probably a bad coil pack. Need to put it on a scanner to figure out which cylinder. This will also cause a fuel trim issue because one cylinder isn't firing so your running rich
