Thank you so much, Matt!!! I bought a 2016 SS that had some light front end damage. My grill and DRL were moderately cracked but it was driving me crazy because I had such a bada$$ car and everyone would comment "Did you know your grill and fog light are cracked?" My mechanic was reluctant to even try this. Your video made the install simple. I would have NEVER tried this without you and it was simple. The DRLs on eBay all have cracked tabs because folks are installing them without removing the grill. Little do they know. Keep up the awesome work!!

Very detailed, Matt. Love your vids. Long time subscriber. It's one of the best I've seen. I'll be pulling mine soon to go with a stainless billet upper and lower grill. Anything you wish you had done differently? Also, I'd like to put an LED strip behind one of the grills for that glow effect. Where do you think would be a good location? Thx Matt.
Can probably put up fire and down fire on the bottom of the top grill insert and the top of the lower.
The 3 screws at 6:38 mark, only the one near the wheel well needs removed, loosen the other 2 about half way(smaller length then the rest & not as wide at bolt head). They mainly hold that plastic piece for the lock tabs on the bumper to press into when installing & hold after.
A flex 1/4 drive screwdriver makes getting all of those in the wheel well much easier. That is what i used for all of them under the wheel wells.
Video is very helpful, currently just torn off the Front of my RS after watching this video, to install my RS SEMA grill.
Only difference i saw was the under side cover has different between the 2, the RS has 5 bigger 10mm bolts & a quick pulls fastener all at the back under the engine, with the same 7mm ones on both sides
Great video Matt, I like the fact that you do all of these install vids yourself so it shows not only how, but that " WE CAN DO IT ". you are my go to guy for all things CAMARO. Thankfully my car already has that grill. If you can, tell me your torque spec on your wheel nuts. The manual says 140 lb/ft . do you agree with this. Thanks again bud.

What type of screws are the ones on the top front of the bumper ? I need to buy replacement ones but I don’t know which ones they are
What a usefull video I hit a wild animal and broke my grill couldn't figure out how to disconnect the grill from the bumper.

Anyway, I decided to put them back myself. My question is, in your experience, would it be easier to take the tires off, remove the plastic cover and try to install the dlr's that way? Or should I remove the whole front?

I don't know if you know you are the only person on camaro side that is doing this,again thanks. Trying to decide between the tail lights or the grille for the LT model because just like the person said below the LT grille is ugly, I was even thinking of a grille delete. what are your thoughts? Oh I just want to say there is a big difference in the gas mileage I get 34 average on hwy 24 in city and 75 cents difference between regular and premium just my two cents.
+kywildcats The anniversary grille on the LT is nice, but the tail lights might give you a better transformation. I feel it really changed my... video on it up tomorrow.

I finally got around to installing my new grill yesterday. I have to say that might of been the worst experience I've had. The removal of the bumper was easy. Those tabs that snap around the grill were a pain in my ass! I should of known cause the original grill was in there really tight and the pressure it took to pop it out was more than I expected. They could of utilized some simple screws around the grill and it would of been a snap. I came super close to breaking off one of those tabs and I would of had to buy a new front bumper.
Yup, those metal clips are a nightmare.
LethalGarage no the metal clips weren't the problem. It was the plastic tabs around the outside of the grill. Yours went in easily. Mine were not. I litterally fought with getting them in and latched for 2 hours. Oh well....thanks for the video once again

Did you end up using any tools to help with those tabs? Trying to remove the grill on my wife's 2023 LT1 and those plastic tabs are a nightmare! They clip on the top AND bottom so there's not really any way to lever on them. I know you posted this a while ago, but I need some help here because I'm bending these things to the point where I feel like they're going to break, and it's still not budging... I Just want to be able to tuck the vinyl wrap in nicely.
Great video matt , but for safety , you should put the wheels under the car , and if its possible the jack at almost the same height of the stands, safety is, always thinking that the things will fail so extra safety is always good, bro !

So all of the clips can be reused from the previous grill? I ordered one last weekend from a dealer on ebay selling them off of a 50th. It didn't mention any clips. MojaveKY said his came with a bunch of clips. I will probably need an installer to put this on cause I don't have a garage :( You definitely did a good job of explaining the process....twice

Hey Matt, first another great video! I'm curious to know, due to the aero and cooling design of the open front grill on the Gen6, did you happen to notice how much debris and dirt gets channeled towards the inner radiator/coolers and lower valence? Or was it surprisingly clean. Keep up the good work! and by the way...you did a good job.

Now days i takes 30 minutes as I know what to do.
To work on trim parts or body parts is most of the time, try and error, however you managed it, and it´s looking great. American muscle all the way!

I did the heritage grill on my car but to my the new one isn't distinct enough for me
My grill is on, but I made the dealer install for this reason. They got the wrong splitter, though...

You have to do it from the inside and it requires dropping the headliner. It's not easy.
One wonders Lethal about the long term durability of such a massive piece of molded plastic. It really does endure torsional forces from the air, seasons of temperature change, constant bumps and shakes. I'd be highly impressed if in 20 years the epoxy chemistry kept its bonds and didn't warp crack or otherwise degrade.

how did you get to detach the harness on the passenger side? i cant seem to pull it off. :( now im stuck. HELP!!!

plyers? in your video you were not using any tools in disconnecting the wire harness.. u probably mean the grille removal. :) my problem is that i cant remove the front bumper since it is still attached to the wire harness. i cant seem to disconnect them. in ur video, it looks easy though u said its a nightmare to disconnect those. is there anything special i need to do? pretty sure i pulled the red mini clips up to unlock it (not sure) but i tried disconnecting them but still is hard. pls help

Not a OEM bumper, but a few companies make a ZL1 bumper that could fit a 1LT

+kevinsdb1 LOL. The grille is actually an anniversary grille and was introduced with that car over the 1LE. The wheels I think just look better ;) the tire size matches the ZL1 and just so happened to also be the 1LE size.

i have money saved up to give a down payment on a 2017 camaro LT2 automatic. and but i would prefer an SS, but i could afford it but i cant afford the gas milage. is it possible to add a SS front bumper on an lt2 bc i really like the SS grill
+michael gonzalez ummm... the 1SS V8 has just about the same gas mileage as a V6 2LT.
The LT and SS grilles are too different and can't be swapped between each other.
