    I never heard the fan once. And as far as the input drops, make sure you don't have any other monitors turned on. When a monitor is detected the graphics card will drop your signal. I've rarely had any input drops outside of that.

    Found your video by accident. I am thinking of doing the exact same thing as you by buying it refurbished from Dell. Thanks for this review. I would hate that fan noise too.

      30 day return policy from Dell if you wanted to try it out. The price will keep going ⬇️ on these bad boys

    I bought mine refurbished from Dell Outlet too but it didn't have bad fan noise. I think because I was lucky enough to get one that was manufactured in September 2022

      That’s crazy. Maybe this is a lottery situation or there was one bad batch of chocolates

    Thank you very much for the info! An initial price ~760$ for this unut seems to be very good. What is your monitor firmware - M0B-101?
    As for inputs dropping/losing bug - try this:
    Right-click the desktop and select Nvidia Control Panel from the drop-down menu. Under 3D settings, select “Max Frame Rate,” set it to 172.
    it might also be a g-sync module failure - there were some reports for another alienware model that a defective capacitor? is located on the monitor board - thats why the early units were faulty and replaced by dell for a later revisions - where they fixed this. But i hope that is not the same for aw3423dw - but these "alienwares"/dells are known for using the cheapest parts for money saving - thats is why there are 2 cheapest fans in aw3423dw and you are experiencing fans noise :)

      If we are paying 1299+ MSRP for a monitor, they shouldn’t have these cheap parts. Who knows maybe brand new solves these issues, hopefully people who own the later batches can post their experience here 🧐

      @@bronztech Hmm - there is a local scalper in my area reseling these with insane price - who is claiming that in latest firmware/models he have the fan curve/issues has been fixed. i dont care since he demands ~2000$ with 0 warrianty so he can leave these for himself.
      As for dell/alienware - "they shouldn’t have these cheap parts" you said - DONT count on it. again - a local repair guy is in close contanct will dell autorised service - he told me once he came there - he was shocked with the numbers of bad notebooks lying in a trashbox. it is only good because 36 months of warrianty gives you some sort of protection - and another thing - their units will likely be broken and show their defects due this period - so you will keep getting replacements/new? devices. they are using the cheapest parts possible esp "cooling solutions" to save money and maximize their income.

      @@bronztech idk, I’ve had a aw3418dw I bought back in 2018-19 brand new. It’s been my daily driver and has never given me an issue. I don’t think dell is using any cheaper parts than any other manufacturer. Also my display is a gsync premium and I didn’t even know in almost 5 years that it even had fans in it! I’ve never heard a fan from my display or gsync module. I just picked up an open box aw3423dw for $899.99 from microcenter. I could have gotten a brand new dwf from dell for only $85 more, but I feel the gsync module is worth it, and the dfw has hdr issues that users have been waiting for months for a firmware update that was pushed to mid January, then mid February, now jan and feb is over and no word of a firmware update. If it’s one thing I know, it’s not to buy things with promises of future fixes or future feature promises. If it wasn’t for the hdr issue and people still waiting with no word, I would have went with the dwf. I got 30 days to see if there are any issues with this display, if there are it will go back and I’ll reconsider my options based on what’s on the market. And yes oled is amazing. I can’t go back to lcd tvs. I love oled so much that I suffered an unlucky panel failure after 20 months of light use on a 55 inch Lg Cx that I immediately turned around and replaced it with a 55 inch c2 (this time with 4 year warranty). That was a tough expensive pill to swallow, but I couldn’t go back and for gaming and media no one beats lg oled c tvs. So glad the tech finally came to monitors. Nope you’re still enjoying it

    Which monitor arm do you have? I just ordered the F version of this monitor

    • @bronztech
      @bronztech  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ergotron is the best arm. Never wobbles and sturdy amzn.to/3ZybAF9

    QD-Oled doesn't have anything to do with mini led. QD-Oled is oled that's filtered through a quantum dot layer.

    • @bronztech
      @bronztech  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah thanks, need to be doing more diligent research. Is QD the same tech as QLED?

    I would rather wait for a 32 inch flat option. I heard LG is working on one and it might be announced towards the end of the year.

    What about with the problem with burning OLED screen with this monitor?

    • @bronztech
      @bronztech  ปีที่แล้ว

      No issues so far. Newer panels released in 2022 typically have solutions that prevent burn in like pixel shift and refresh

    Got lucky, mine had erratic black flashing/flickering, couldn’t fix it, amazing picture though, still went for the refund and picked up discounted DWF

    I´m on my third exchange of the newer AW34DWF..all have psu coil whine.
    strange thing is that all 3 are from October 2022.
    friend of mine ordered a new one and had a modell from this year´s date....
    So i gonna send this one back and take the refund. Then i order a new one.
    I think they exchange with oldes production dates..

      Interesting, they should stop circulating that batch or discount it

    Is a 240hz going to be much better then this?

    • @bronztech
      @bronztech  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I personally don’t care for anything above 144hz, as I don’t play competitively and/or see little difference + your GPU needs to run more power after that
