This is the worse laptop I have ever owned. I would not advise anyone to buy this laptop. Cheaply made, parts are such scrappy quality compared to my old asus rog. I've used this laptop for nearly 2 years and I have had to restore it multiple times as I get suck on the login screen. I use this laptop for travel work and light gaming. For the little use its gotten, it's given me a lot of problems. Long story short. I would never buy an hp again. Shitty all around, go with a good build quality asus rog.

4060 on par with the desktop equivalent. My friend got a 5i pro with 32gb 300nits panel ffor 1000$ with a 13700HX IMO probably one of the greatest deals on a new laptop ive seen in YEARS. In the past budget options with 6c cpus like the 9750h X 1660 ti sold for around 1000-1100 On sale during its first launch/cycle. Then into the lenovo legion 5 Microcenter exclusive 1100$ for a 1tb drive 144hz 1080p 6c cpu 140w 3060. Now seeing a 13700HX 1tb drive 32gb and QHD with a 4060 is pretty GG for 1000$. It makes desktops budgeted for a lot more personal/niche uses. When a package like that can be offered at that sales/bargain price. Other than poorly optimized titles like EFT do you really encounter needing a desktop for games a lot of titles ESP pve titles seem to get by these days with a budget/option like this for 1000-1100$. While being able to have it portable/on the go for lan/group playing potential. Or purely as a workstation even with a type-c charger

How is the cooling of this laptop?

Bought a Best Buy open box Dell G15 gaming notebook and it stopped working and it was outside of the Best Buy return window so sent it to Dell to repair it. They opened it up and found liquid damage (which is probably why the person returned the computer to Best Buy), and said that they wouldn't repair it due to the liquid damage under warrantee. That left me with a $1000 brick, or pay the cost to repair it... I got on the BB bulletin board and posted my issue and the local store manager didn't have the same model in stock, but gave me a comparable one with the same specs from a different manufacture. I really dodged a bullet, but they did make it right.

Apparently these have had lots of issues including the hinges breaking. Did you have any issues with yours?

I have one too with same i7 but RTX 4070 140W TGP 8Gb GDDR6 VRAM. 1Tb nvmE ssd, 16Gb DDR5 5600MHz and 240Hz screen ips 500 nits 100% SRGB and 4 zone RGB keyboard.

I have bought two open box laptops now and they BOTH lagged like hell. One doesn't even have working bluetooth!!

Got this laptop for 1350 on sale in Best Buy. Best laptop I’ve had. I tried the dell g15 before and got blue screens as soon as I opened the laptop. Zephyrus g something was the next one and it also was a horrendous experience. I then got the legion 7 I believe it was about 3 years ago, and it was good but I felt like it was missing something. That’s when I found the g15 ae and lemme tell u this thing is a unit. The cpu gets really hot now after 3 years of use but I recently replaced the thermal paste and using a cooling pad, and running avatar frontiers of pandora only in 1080p cuz I can’t afford another monitor and I’m really okay with 1080p, at 120-144 fps on medium/high settings with fsr 3. I play a lot of ow2 and it runs that game on max ultra settings at 1080 capped at 144fps bc my monitor is 144hz connected directly to gpu via usb c to display port. If anyone wants any updates I’ve just ordered thermal grizzly Liquid Metal and I’ll be applying it only to the cpu, as the gpu under absolute full load rarely goes above 85c usually is around 70-80. Cpu is normally around 80-85 running avatar, and both cpu and gpu are well below 70 when I’m running over watch while using the cooling pad which is really awesome.

I been going through many 16 inch laptops and I haven't been that pleased with them, I'm thinking of getting this laptop as I have a gaming desktop and I use a gaming laptop when I go to another house. I tried a Stealth 17 studio, it was almost good a part from the clicky mouse buttons. There's an i9 version of the Pulse I can get from Amazon. An interesting model!
