Just.. out of curiosity. The comments seem to be filled with a lot of unhappy, and woman weary guys. Do you guys really believe that there's NO women capable of real love and loyalty etc? Or are you making the claim that MOST are shit, and that the few that are good are rare?

I'll pin this so you can get more answers from other people here. My take: 50% or more divorce rates where 60-80% are filed by women (depending on country). 50+% of women admit to cheating on their spouse/partner. Now knowing that women win Child support 85% of the time and many men lose custody and only get visitation rights to their kids while writing massive checks for them...The question I would ask you is, would you go through the risk, jump through hoops and even try long term dating when statistically you're gonna end up miserable. And for what? Almost everything else a relationship gives you, you can get from other people you don't have to sign your life away for.

I`m 71 now, and for most of my adult life, stories have persisted about men being left by their wives for reasons that were not their fault. The nightmare stories are of these guys losing everything that they had worked so hard to provide for their families. They lose their kids, the house, sometimes their jobs, all of their savings, and on and on, they end up with nothing. Because of the wife lying, the kids get turned against their dad. You know, I could go on with more examples, but we`ve all heard this stuff. After fifty or more years of this, there is bound to be some changes take place. The traditional family at least was based on the idea of "exchange of value". It was more like a business contract. Now you are supposed to close your eyes, believe in the "Hollywood love" and just sign away your life... >50% divorce rate is nothing, how many marriage of those that still stand, are marriages you really want to be in? IMO - very, very little. And most of the reasons are based in economics. Modern men, nor modern women really need each other to survive like in the past. Yes, the obvious issue is the government that replaces men, but the opposite is also true - tech is replacing women also. The so called "modern society" stopped reproducing itself, and it requires more primitive cultures to continue functioning...

Having a mission and goals, and going after what you want and breaking down barriers for yourself and leadership are masculine qualities. She, as a feminine woman is saying that she is attracted to these masculine qualities. Just like a masculine man is attracted to feminine qualities such as submissiveness, and bonding and connecting and being open to receive love. In the same way, this doesn't mean you want her to work for you or never share her opinion. Granted, many people have many issues that get in the way of actually showing these natural qualities, but when you can acknowledge your issues and fears, and learn how to deal with them, you'll do much better with showing the qualities that come natural to you. This goes for both men and women.

Back in the late 1970s, I had two friends at church (in their mid-20s) who started dating. So, three friends of mine (guys) asked about 8 sisters what they expected from a guy to do on a date. We created a list of 13 performance items (not involving intimate sex) for the girlfriend to do. The boyfriend's instructions were that he couldn't kiss her during the date, and couldn't say why. At the next Sunday school meeting, we challenged them to do a roll reversal. We gave each their list, and told them that the other could not let each other see the list (at least not before the date was over for two days). Next Sunday, he reported that he had never been so relaxed on a date, it was great; she reported that she had never been so stressed out on a date, it was drudgery. // Decent young guys take the emotional risks, and get burnt. Then later we don't trust women.

"What are men needed for anymore?"
Tax revenue. Women consume more tax than they contribute, so guess who makes up the difference...Ironically, this also means that women are still entirely dependent on men.
Tax is also a, if not the reason why single men are shamed in media. If you're a single guy with no kids and no desire to enter a LTR then you can make $50k/yr and be happy with your 2010 Tacoma and 2br dwelling instead of needing to work 60+hrs for $120k and get mortgages and car loans and credit card debt (women are involved in 85% of purchasing decisions). Single men, especially ones who don't care for women, are a nightmare for marketers because again, they're happy with a 2010 Tacoma, and because they're not spending and not earning a high salary they also have lower tax exposure. The single guy working a low-stress job at $50k is also likely to have more money to invest compared to the husband/father working 60+hrs, so the single guy will be able to retire earlier, thus removing himself from the workforce and removing another source of income tax for the government.
The girl power movement was never about female empowerment, it was about transferring wealth from men to the government via women. Girl power is just a tool, and its advocates: useful idiots.

You shouldn't have to suggest getting something in return. A relationship is about giving. Both are supposed to naturally give. There are some people who don't know how to do this though. Many times it's due to a lack of self-esteem or self-love. If someone doesn't love themselves, they won't know how to properly love someone else, or in other words, they won't have anything left to give. It's like they are running on empty. There are so many people that experience this issue, amongst both men and women. We can get passed it though, but it requires work and self-reflection and humility.

I'm out of dating for good. But last year I tried once more
Last year I was dating a woman for 7 months and she stated that she expected us to live together before we had been datinga year. I told her that we needed the following bedrooms
    2 bedrooms for my daughters
    1 bedroom for her daughter
1 bedroom for her and me
I then told her that my house that I own outright had 3 bedrooms and the house she rents has 2 bedrooms. So I then asked what she proposed, she said that I would have to go out and buy a 4 bedroom house for all of us. I said ok, how much money did she have to put into the deal. She told me that she didn't have any money to put into the deal.
I finished with her there and then. All of her girlfriends have called me trash since then. They just don't get it that men get rinsed by women, but it was all my fault
My daughters and I have lived very happily ever after since then.

The old good is now bad.
    The bad is now good.
And when my money starts flowing in the wahmin will be shut out of my life permanently.
I asked a girl out in high school and she apparently reported me to the school cop and I got intercepted and pulled in the office on false accusations of sexual harassment. Which I never did but spent the whole last 6 months of senior year up in the classroom eating my lunch which the teacher had to go get for me. Thank gosh she didn't press charges because they gave her the option apparently.
That was over 10 years ago scared the shit outta me.
If a woman likes me she can come to me and just say she likes me and initiate with no games.

It's really, really, really hard to tell that any woman loves anyone. The only time i've ever seen anything close to what you would consider an unconditional love partnership between a woman and a man is when it comes to mother & son.
I don't see it from my mother to my father, in my grandparents or in any relationship I have ever been in or seen anyone be in. As far as I can tell, woman use men as a status symbol, this is 100% EXCLUSIVE WITH ABSOLUTELY NOOOOO EXCEPTIONS. There is always a materialistic goal to the decision women make, and that's just a fact of biology and evolution.
So many men are willing to throw away everything for a woman in a bid of unconditional love. When is that ever returned? Please someone, ANYONE, give me 1 example of when a woman has shown actual love towards a man.
Ya'll are better off getting a dog, I PROMISE you. You will get more love and happiness from your dog than you could ever get from a woman.

The caveat? They were older, or lived outside of the city, and often they were her first relationship out of highschool.
There is a reason why people avoided dating widows back in the day, now the majority of women have widowed themselves. Being a jilted lover isn't really a temporary condition for women.

This what a "TRUE" woman and a "REAL" man are supposed to be. Two figures that walk SIDE BY SIDE, and, as equals (TRUE equals), with all their defects and mistakes, complete each other.

Reading the comments on this post is very sad to me. I have been married to an amazing man for almost 26 years. I also have four grown sons. They have been raised to have manners and they have an amazing father as a role model. I worked early on and then my husband wanted to start his own business and we worked hard TOGETHER. When we had our children, I decided to stay home and raise our five children. My husband worked so hard and still does to provide an amazing life for us. I always kept a clean house and always had dinner on the table. I guess today we would be called old fashioned. Everyday when I wake up, I thank God for him. I am scared for my boys with the man bashing that is going on. My husband holds the door for me, he rides a Harley on his 1 day off. His family comes first and he has always been first to us. Today people think to much. Let things happen naturally. We love each other and are loyal to one another. There have been many a study done on how to atomize society. This may be transient but I see no indicator things are getting better. Marriage is no longer an institution largely to regulate progeny, it is simply a romantic exercise and any two entities can do it. It is commodified. It is to be lorded over your friends when in vogue and then discarded at the nearest inconvenience. I am 24 in a couple months. I can count the number of girls my age that I have met on one hand that I think would even be remotely suited to marriage. This is under the pinned comment asking "The comments seem to be filled with a lot of unhappy, and woman weary guys. Do you guys really believe that there's NO women capable of real love and loyalty etc? Or are you making the claim that MOST are shit, and that the few that are good are rare?" but I'm going to paste it here as well for more visibility. I think it's important.
Women for the past 30 years have been brought up in a environment that set them up to fail under the guises of helping them overcome sexism and not suffer like their parents did. Between the absolute social cancer of third-wave feminism and helicopter-bulldozer parents that would never allow their child to go through the hardships and struggles that teach lessons and build character and robustness, the women who were not near-permanently damaged were the exception rather than the rule. The continued perpetuation of third-wave feminism's anti-male policies and unprecedented forcing of social justice and intersectionality down the throats of western societies at large has ensured that the "participation trophy generations" are forced to remain childishly fragile by the upbringing of heli-dozer parents (and societal enforcement of that childish fragility all the way up to the criminal statutes themselves).
It's not that there are no good women; it's that women were AND STILL ARE in an extremely toxic sociopolitical and legal framework that practically guarantees that most of them will constantly fail. You cannot protect people from reality, and when these children that were failed by their parents and their teachers and their political representatives (and their "diversity"-obsessed corporate HR/management in an ongoing capacity as adults) are faced with the fact that *other people can simply choose to not have anything to do with them,* they hit a wall that no heli-dozer parent can bulldoze and no school administrator can threaten with expulsion and no HR feminazi can terminate, and the horrible truth of how badly they were failed sinks in on a very deep personal level that challenges the most fundamental "truths" of their personal identities and world views.
The result is broken women who are suffering deeply from a brutal identity crisis and decades-deep betrayal by everyone they trusted, and unloved men who feel deeply isolated and valueless and even hated and don't know what else to do...so they "go their own way." These men slowly burn down the village to feel its warmth, and the women don't understand why they're setting the fires, because those charged with the responsibility of preparing those younger female children for the other 3/4 of their lives where they must function as adults did them such a horrific disservice and left them with nothing but a toolbox filled with rusty nails and broken screwdrivers.
But some women do push through, and some parents didn't fail their kids, so there are indeed still good women out there that may be worth it despite the outrageous legal risks. However, finding them is a combination of a numbers game and pure chance, and the risk is that a man finds one that seems to be okay and she really, *REALLY* is not okay, and does a great job of hiding or excusing it away. That's why bachelor channels cover this stuff in so much depth: dating is now dangerous for men, so they need to choose not to do it to be safe, or they need to be given the tools to navigate the dating minefield in and come out one piece with someone who will be a good partner.

Try not to be too surprised at that outcome, Andrew. He's not kidding when he says "the 90/10 rule." The in shape, intelligent women with some sex appeal are ALL flocking to the rock stars, sports stars, power brokers, CEO's, and other very dominant, powerful, wealthy, influential, very masculine men. Most of us ordinary guys don't have a snowball's chance in HELL in getting indicators of interest of women we would even briefly consider...there's simply too much intense competition out there for those women, and many of those women are more than willing to share that high status, high value man with other women if it means they are in that intimate circle with such a guy. The host is correct...for purposes of intimate partnership, we men are obsolete...as are the practices of flirting, dating, courtship, seduction, relationship building, and marrying. We are done. Our hopes and dreams of romance, intimate companionship, and love are UP in smoke and DOWN the drain. I recommend you do as I've done, and write your concession speech to be read aloud to anyone still listening in the dating arena. It's time to seek out things in life to substitute for romance.

My dating life started to wane 15 years ago after I turned 40, and cratered after I turned 50. I'm 55 now, and have made things right with the world by offering a complete and total forfeiture from the dating contest. And it's totally true, any person who thinks a high status man OR woman actually needs the help from a dating app is either delusional or consciously lying to themselves, hoping that high status person who shows up on screen has really just been looking for THEM their entire lives! Total blue pill narrative, and a sophisticated setup for bitter, stinging disappointment. Especially as a man, you'll know quickly and continuously in your life if you are one of those 5-10% high status men...and if you are not. If you are not, the most compassionate advice I can offer is to give up on dating and romantic ideations, and discipline yourself into the habit of treating women EXACTLY as you treat other men: with good manners and sincerity, but not ONE iota of sexual tint in anything you say or do as you relate. Get out of the dating arena. And as it pertains to dating, flirting, courting, or anything of the like...leave women alone and take care of the items on your own agenda. For personal fulfilment, find out what things in the world captivate you, don't harm anyone or anything, and don't involve anything sexual with women. Then pursue those things, because they are available to you...and as such, they can love you back as much as you love them.

I was curious about how an old woman relates to this situation and the answer she gave me was pretty nice, thought I could share it with you guys: She said that she doesn't incline to believe any neo-marxist ideologies or derivatives from it and she prefers to actually investigate the science behind it, and as she did she found it just an ideology without foundation. Nice answer in my opinion from a wise old woman. And for those who will say that she was just a stay at home mother, or uneducated, or brainwashed, she is a highly educated woman, who also had leading positions in her life, very interested in science and mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and also had 2 daughters who she seems to love very much from the way she talks about them and their children as well. Even though she seems a bit rough on the edges sometimes, maybe from the old age, when she gave me that answer and told me bits of her life and how she described her family, it felt very feminine but not in the extreme traditional-stay-at-home-only and no other interests kind of way , but a very balanced way. Smart woman in touch with her femininity.

So her whole letter was about how much she loves and appreciates what men do for women...Just another example that women only see men for what they provide.

“For men who love women, who love diamonds”
