I have a lube station. Me and my family only use remaining countaner oils, a thousand of countaner few drops mixed up from a hundred different oils. And all mixed up for decades. We never had an engine lubrication related problem. Most are totally compatible and miscible.🎉

I mixed O'Reilly Conventional oil 5W-30 with Castro 5W-30 Conventional oil worked fine. Never mix conventional oil with Synthetic oils.

Yes, it's totally fine, but best to be avoided if you can, the effectiveness of the chemical packages might 'clash' and there for deteriorate.

What is the downside of an over the shelf 5w30? Better protection? A 5w30 becomes a 5w25 in 400 miles, just don't worry about it.
