I was really happy with mine to, I still donr regret my upgrade to 4k qd oled tho, it just looks better, and 3 year warranty on burn in is nice, but the g8 was honestly really good to
Yeah, I have to go to LED. I play a lot of World of Warcraft and this has much static elements. I want to keep my monitor 4-5 years. I dont see it with an oled.
What about QA? Do you have dead pixels? Are they common? Are there issues with the panel detaching from the monitor (this previously was an issue with Odyssey monitors). Please let me know if you somehow find out about it.
Hey Rohan, Thanks for doing this video. I am in the process of deciding between this 4K 32" monitor and a 1440p OLED 34" monitor. The other monitor I am looking at is the Alienware AW3423DWF 34" LED with a display resolution of 3440 x 1440. They are both curved. I will be using if for home productivity and gaming. I have been using a curved monitor for the past three years and I really like it. I'm not doing competitive gaming, just things like Doom Eternal, Tome Raider series, Spiderman etc. My question for you is, in your opinion, would it be better - say for the next 5 years, to go with an OLED with vibrant colors and a wide but shorter screen or go with a 4K with really good colors and a boxier screen? BTW, you are so right about the stand . . . come on Samsung! (not a deal breaker for me).
I have this monitor and I quite enjoy it. No dead pixels. Super bright with great contrast. I've heard issues of scan lines but my unit seems to be fine. Sometimes I feel like I can barely see them... but it's only specific shades of color... and I never notice it in gaming or video content. I quite enjoy the 12 Bit Color, 240Hz, and 2000 Nits peak brightness... even though it is probably more like 1400 Nits.
I bought this monitor for gaming and WFH. Didn't want to go for oled due to the WFH part. Too much risk of burn in. It's been great for both. And I do game on it competitively and it has been going great, but that's because I have the proper hardware to run stuff at 4k @ 240fps. The responsetimes are amazing when you turn off adaptive sync. Which to be fair you're not going to need anyway at these kinds of high framerates.
The neo G8 samsung mini LED much brighter and Vivd color, and the black looks great also, i would go with Mini LED always for bright image and better white color.
You cant really copy color settings between monitors since they all vary, even same model. You could copy some settings, but not color settings. Thats why monitor calibration tools exist.
7:34 This isn't true. Hardware Unboxed got 2.5 ms while using VRR on this monitor, and HUB is known as one of the best when it comes to monitor reviews.
I had the 49" G9 and the cheap white plastic wobble is a lot worse with that size of a screen. It ended up being the reason I dont have that giant thing any more. Samsung is very very picky about internal scratches. Anyways, I am considering this but it feels so gimmicky and dated. Gaming doesn't have to be clunky and glowing. I want the pro monitor aesthetics (often aimed at Mac designers) but with the gaming 4k refresh rates. It's kind of a bummer trying to decide as my Acer shorts out randomly during my quest. Good vib, +sub
If I just use this for console gaming, will I see the scan lines, only reason why I'm asking is because I read the scan lines come when running anything at 240hz
Actually it depends on the game, I have it and there’s this weird issue where even though it can always do 4K at 240hz, there are some games where it will lock at 240hz for some weird reason. Very odd but still an absolute beast.
Brighter than OLED and no burn-in worries. Win in my book!

Do you know if the scanline issues have been fixed on the neo G8?
The neo G8 samsung mini LED much brighter and Vivd color, and the black looks great also, i would go with Mini LED always for bright image and better white color.
Thank you Rohan! 10/10 video
This is the new 2024 model, is it already available or still❤??
I am using this monitor too. Can you give me the best color settings? ❤

An eye-opening review. Thank you!
Very fair and balanced review. Good job. Strongly considering getting this.
Congrats for the video. I don't know whether to get the Neo G8 or Neo G7. I heard that the Neo G8 has a matte screen which I hate, is that true?

Thanku you bro ❤ very super and clear explanation. I love it ❤❤❤❤
Can I purchase a remote control to use with this monitor?
7:34 This isn't true. Hardware Unboxed got 2.5 ms while using VRR on this monitor, and HUB is known as one of the best when it comes to monitor reviews.
How about color accuracy for video and photo editing?
This is the new 2024, model, is it already available or still❤?? G80SD-😊
This is the 2020 Model, but it'still one of the best around.
@@RoyalBoyle78 it's the 2022 model.

How do i connect my Sonos beam to the Odyssey / PS5?
This or the G8 Oled?
I7 13700 paired with a 4060 is wild. Literally wouldn’t need more than an i3 13100 for a 4060.
does it have good HDR cuz i red he have HDR2000 nits lol it's true and super vivid colors ?
Its currently on sale for 899 do you think thats a good buy?
Compare to Alienware 32 oled price. It has to be on at least 20% cheaper. Since Alienware has oled display and other identical specs

Weird, because their latest firmware update fixed that a while ago
If I just use this for console gaming, will I see the scan lines, only reason why I'm asking is because I read the scan lines come when running anything at 240hz
