- This product is awesome. It's not permanent, so you can mess up as much as you want. It's easy to apply. It's easy to remove. Try it on anything, if you don't like it just peel it off.
I blacked out my emblems on my Nissan 370z. It looks really good if you want the "blacked out" look.
Keep in mind that I was filming this with one hand and using my other hand to peel off the Plasti Dip, so I apologize for all the grunting and stuff. No homo.
Common Answer #1: You will need approximately 3 cans to spray all four wheels using 4 coats on each wheel.
Common Answer #2: You can buy Plasti Dip at Home Depot, Lowes, and OSH.
Common Answer #3: Yes, it's safe to drive through the car wash and pressure wash over the Plasti Dip, but I wouldn't recommend it.
Common Answer #4: It's not necessary to spray the inner wheel wells. I just sprayed the face of the wheel.
Common Answer #5: The newspaper masking was to prevent over spray and makes cleaning up easier and quicker.
Lastly, I made this video to show the car enthusiast community, who are interested in blacking out their emblems, a much easier way to do so without removing the emblem and painting it or buying a whole new black emblem.
Plasti Dip can result in different textures depending on the outside temperature and how close/far you spray. Try it and see what works best for your specific application.

Here is a little tip when plastidipping a Nissan logo for example. Put a little piece of tape inside the arc's, so when you start to peel of the leftovers, just take the tape of and you have made up an edge. No need to scratch the paint with fingernails or toothpicks, atlest so much.
Damn, my fingers are too big. I can't grip this. Oh, okay, cool. It's getting bigger now. Okay, and this is just rubber, so it won't do any permanent damage.....porno or Plasti-Dip video.
lmfaooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo u rightttttt it did sounded like that

"my fingers are to big, can't grip this"
with the grunts he makes right before, priceless
@2:56 Need a toof pick
If they came black standard, people would be chroming them
that is true! people will want what they aren't given. but it's good to have variety.
no......
No
You are more than likely right but. I think some people want to stand out by being different.
Old and middle aged people chrome it out, blacking out chrome is more of a younger car owner...but even in my 30s chrome on cars are absolute trash.
"Slowly pull out"
Moans
😂😂😂😂
I love the work you've done on your Nissan. All blue and black, everything from tow hook to exhaust!
Love the look on the blue. Excellent contrast.
Definitely going to be doing my emblems as well! Thanks for the video!
Looks really good with the black alloy wheels. Very nice.
This stuff is actually pretty cool. Looks clean and neat.
Love the look mate, looks awesome and suits your vehicle really well!
I honestly loved the Nissan logo completely blacked out before the tooth pick thing.
Turned out great! I love it. Definitely doing it when I get my car.
I just finished dipping the bowtie emblems on my camaro a couple of minutes ago and i swear, peeling off the plasti dip aroud the emblems is the most satisfying thing ever.
Figured that out! Just dipped my wheels, grille, and the emblems on the back of my maxima. Works pretty awesome, looks good too.
I did my blue and white gixxer 1000 wwith this. Now it's blue and black. Sick. Love this stuff.
ive been having mine for almost 6 months. its still going strong even after many many car washes
Thanks for the awesome vid man. I just dipped my the trunk emblem on my Acura TSX... looks great!
Excellent, thank you for this! I'm convinced.
I like the way your whip is looking, real clean and not over done. I'm about to dip my 08 550i rims, I was thinking of dipping the 550i emblem but I'm not sure if I want to dip the BMW emblem. My car is pearl white so the black and white look is going to look real good, I'm also debating if I should dip all the wood grain in the interior white, ( the rest of the interior is black), or I can do 3m carbon fiber wrap.
Nice. Nice contrast of colors
thats soo cool how it peels right off!
I am totally going to give this a try on my vehicle's emblems & rims!!
that looks soooooooooo nice!
Beautiful 370 Man!
Nice job, looks great
used it on my ride...came out perfect. thanks!!
Looks nice dude! The black looks sick on the blue.
That stuff is genius. I am going to do my badges tomorrow.
Looks brilliant.
thats such a clean whip
Looks freakin' great!
Looks nice and that car is badass bro!!!
Lookin' good man!
I love those cars, and it's blue, even better! :D
Great video, but absolutely beautiful car! That blue looks phenomenal!

Thank you! This will look good on my Grey Nissan Altima
Looks Good! Nice job!
hi! thanks for the video, it gives me a good overview how to plastidip my emblems! looks really easy and if you dont like it anymore just peel it off haha! greetings from germany
Good job. Do you need to sand or prime like regular paint? I have some road debis chips on the front emblem so I'll probably sand anyway.
very cool
cleaning my 350z today and i was thinking this very thing
plus a few other things.
Going to fetch some tomorrow!
Nice job man!
Cool video, very informative and well done. Thanks.
Nice 370Z man. Love the black emblems on the blue! Wheels look great too.
@Vtrjfrost I assume it's how you applied each coat that resulted in the grainy finish. Try to reapply a new set of coats, but this time make sure you apply even coats for a more smoother, glossy look.
the blue/black scheme is very very nice man
Nice job! It looks great! Beautiful car! What wheels do you have on your Z?
it seems quite fun peeling it off
great job brah!!!!
Looks nice. It goes good with your black wheels. Nice looking Z TongMan
I got a Toyota FJ 2014 last night. I've already bought the stuff to do this. It looks sick.
nice video man, appreciate the oublic service lol
Still helpful 12 years later 🤙
Drive like that with the newspapers looks cool
that looks easy too use i am thinking using some of that
Yeah you could, but i would recomend u pull the first plastidip off so u dont get a real thick layer of plasti-dip its better to mask off the panel instead. But thats just my opinion of my own experience with plastidip. It works just work fine to lay another 4-5 layers of another of another color on top, but I think it works best to not lay it over. But do as u feel. Both the ways work just fine :)
FINALLY, somebody found a good way to use PLASTICRAP!!!
looks good!
This video really helped me I am going to do it to my titan on Wednesday.
your car looks sick
He said "slowly pull out" haha thats what she said
tanks for that!
greets from germany
damn that looks real good
you have mad masking skillz
Beautiful ride
@Gangreen167 Home Depot or Lowes sells each can for about $6. The emblems lies elevated from the body panel, so the spray will spray the emblem along with the body panel. When it comes time to remove the portions on the body panel, it will not take off the spray on the emblems because they are not connected.
Looks sick
Can't wait to do my hr z tonight, looks good
awsome car dude!
Nice work.
That's exactly what I was wondering.
Good job!
true, my friend blacked out his lexus IS F emblems, looks so sick. nice video
did this to my G35 after watching your vid. It looks sick! I also used blue painter's tape.
have fun! what car do you have?
Thanks for sharing man
It's the hook they use when they transport them in the ships/trucks to tie them down, It can also be used for whatever you'd need, alot of Imports have them
Sick bro, I just spray tinted my tail lights. Im definitely doing this next.
gotta get my hands on this. I haven't had the time to run over to home depot but I gotta do it this weekend. I have a '06 SR5 DC Tundra and I need to get all of the chrome off of it. Plus I just bought a tonneau cover for cheap but the color doesn't go with my truck so I need to paint that down too.
Thats bad ass! How long does it usually last before it starts to
Good job dude
Nice. I'm going to do my grill , front and rear bumper on my 92 blazer. Already did my side steps. No more chrome! :)
nice work !!!
Great video, Thanks!
Nice vid bro, gonna do my charger on Wednesday
that looks great and your car is sick
Great video
It just breaks on its own when you peel it, purely because it's at the edges where the paint is thinner and creased. Stuff's awesome mate.
for a difference appearance. it's your preference
I hate to feed the troll, but I find it funny that you called me "spoiled".
Hey Great job i did my lexus emblems 3 times it keeps going underneith the emblem and when i pull it peels. now I have gunk all under the emblem I purchased the removal spray but ddi you have any problems iwth spray going under the emblem?
I couldn't tell if I missed an explanation in the video, but how did you get the plastidip to separate so neatly? Is that just the way it works or did you have to make cuts around the emblem?
Nice 370z man!
plasti dip is the shit! painted the scoop and trunk trim on my wrx 10 months ago. still looks great. Sick looking 370Z bro. love it.
really helpful thanks brutha
beautiful car. black plasti dip looks great on blue
