    I know this video is about 6 months late, but we had a ton of trouble keeping HyperDip in stock after it launched. We didn't want to do anything to increase sales until we had a steady inventory to avoid backorders. We're so glad you guys are enjoying HyperDip so much, we've got plenty now and its ready to ship! Thanks as always for watching 😊

    I did this to the back emblems on my 2022 Sorento & it looks amazing. My car is already all blacked out. Blacking out the emblems took the look to a new level. Going to do the front emblem today! Buy this man’s kit, comes with everything you need & works amazing! The hyper dip has survived the Texas freeze, the summer heat & I run it through the car wash & it still looks amazing! Holding up very well.

      Edit: worked well. Wasn’t perfect because i didn’t have the predip spray but used 25% rubbing alcohol with 75% water and it worked decently well. Great result none the less

    Bought 6 cans back in March. Did all emblems, grill, side mirrors and even chrome bumpers caps. Still holding up perfectly. Get an aerosol spray trigger handle and get the pre dip foam.

      I know you asked this ages ago, but my normal plastidipped emblems that I dipped about 4 years ago are starting to show some small problems. So I'd say every 3-4 years or so you might need to refresh it. I've re-dipped my rear emblem (I also have a Mazda) once already because it gets abused pretty hard with handwashing and power washing. Dunno how much longer hyperdip lasts before it shows damage or might peel at an edge.

    Great job! I just cannot wrap my head around the fact that manufactures still are using ugly chrome emblems and badges instead of the black ones. If these black badges were stock, it would be much more aesthetically appealing and just save us so much trouble.

    In the middle of waiting for my wet coats to dry... I keep getting "splatters" what am I doing wrong?
    I thought it was my fingernail getting in the way. So I went and cut one of them down really short. But it's still happening. Does the nozzle need to be clean after each spray?
    I hope it won't look too bad.
    Edit... so I did figure out my finger is getting in the way because my finger/ hands are getting fatigued.
    I would loved if the nozzle would hold two fingers or be more ergonomic if someone has small hands or less strength. By the time I get all around my car, I noticed the last half didn't look as good because I was losing strength. Lol
    (Doing emblems, window trim and grill).
    I started using my thumb like Fonzie does sometimes. And I have to do a continuous spray instead of short bursts.
    Guess I need to pump some iron if I want to Hyperdip anymore cars.
    I'll probably re-do this project again later if it turns out too bad... 😥
    OMG! I just saw they have adapters for spray cans to make it easier to spray.. 🤦‍♀️

  • @tylerrodriguez9233
    @tylerrodriguez9233 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    I just finished doing my emblems with this stuff and have mixed feelings about it. Idk if it was due to spraying in a coldish (~50°) shop, but it did NOT work well when doing the "wet" coats. When I sprayed to the level he does in the video, the dip would end up running down the letters and would leave the chrome visible at the top edges (even with multiple coats). Unfortunately, I didn't realize that the problem was not getting any better until I had 3 thick sagging coats on there. The only way I could get it to not sag was to spray semi-wet coats until it started looking grainy. It still came out looking good, but not amazing. I'll wait till the weather warms up and redo everything

    • @DeeEhm
      @DeeEhm 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Here is something that might help: what color(s) would you want to add to the hyperdip lineup?
      Personally, I'd like to see some of the metallic and pearl aerosol lineup come in hyperdip. I think there are a few of these that would look great on just about any color car. Though my personal favorites would be Adamantium and Raw Titanium. Adamantium to remove some of those "colorful" emblems or fix damaged emblems, Raw Titanium to give it more of a exotic look without going to black.

    Funny....I don't see that anyone answered the question correctly....but it's been a while and I didn't check all of the responses. The two items that you used to help pull the PlastiDip were a stick, grabbed off the ground, and a (believe it or not) a small 'metal' screwdriver, which was brushed on the concrete to dull some of the sharp edges. ;-)

    Great video. This looks like a good product. On a white car though you should be whiting out the badges. For me the point is to make them disappear. You should have dipped the giant chrome strip on the nose of the vehicle. I would have like to have seen that done.

    I understand why you dipped it to demonstrate the product but for myself I probably would have just debadged the goofy skyactive block. The CX-5 and Mazda M look so much better dipped though, really sleek looking. I've got a black out project I want to do soon so I may just have to try hyperdip.
