Love your video. By the way, the hyperdip is easy to peel off on the sides, but what about the one on the emblems? I figure if you can remove the dip on the sides, it's also easier for the emblem to get scratched too?
Thank you! And surprisingly it sticks pretty good to the emblem. But if you a nick or a deep scratch it can be easy to pull up. But the paint is pretty thick and with normal wear and tear it doesn’t scratch much. I have had my emblems painted for 3 years and still looks good!
Couple questions, how many layers of spray do you do with each emblem? How long did this whole process take? And do you have to wait 10-15 minutes after each coat?
I try to get a minimum of 4 layers. I just used the whole can on 3 emblems. And yes I waited at least 10 minutes between coats. And the whole process of taping everything up, paining, and clean up. I would say a good 2 hours.
I was seriously scared about the paint sticking to the car. Thankfully I watched the entire thing. It is a rubber coating and hence peels off when you did it. I might actually do this to my car.
Yeah it’s a nice upgrade to do. And pretty simple as well! It’s easy because you don’t have to mask off much and you can just paint and peel off the extra!
Sooo I did this but it started peeling off at random points like it wouldn’t fully grab the edges and start lifting it off the badges and chrome and now I have patchy spots so any tips to prevent that please
The only thing I can think of that would cause that. Either you didn’t put enough layers on, or it didn’t get cleaned good enough. Because I have never had that happen to me before.
I know you will have enough to all the emblems. But including the door handles, you might not get more then 2-3 coats with everything. They recommend 4 or more coats, so that way it’s easy to peel off.
You can wash them as much as you want. You can treat it like normal paint. The only thing I would say it to make sure you put on as many coats as you can. The more coats the stronger it is! I have had mine done for about a year and I have waged my car many times. And gone through the car wash and no problems! I even use a pressure washer and it’s all good!
If you put enough coats on, you can grab an edge with your finger nail, and start to pull it off. And it will come off in a sheet like vinyl. And if it’s not think enough to do that. If you scrub with a microfiber it will come off as well.

This is the worst vid about plastidip.. @ 12:23 you scratch your paint between the R&0 While using a screwdriver.. why dude? Just use a wooden toothpick.
Awesome...I wanted matte..so I ordered shadow..thanks for clearing that up...just ordered ...I will see
I’m glad I was able to help clarify!

Are you looking to tint your windows in the near future as well? If you are can you make a video on that as well? Keep up the great content.
I already have my windows tinted, but I’m the future I plan on tinting my tail lights.
Looks way better! Thx for the tip!❤
I hope the video helped!

Same happened to me. I could pull it off the next day
What can I use to remove mine. It did come out well for me
What color, SHADOW BLACK (SATIN) ? Thanks
The Shadow black is a satin finish, and the piano black is a gloss finish. The final product I used was piano black.
Next time you spray take off the masking while the paint is still wet 🙂 makes job easier 😊
That would be a great idea!
I wanna do 2 toyota emblems, the “Corolla” and the “LE” emblems as well and the 4 door handles. Do you think one can is going to be enough?

@@BrandonStellmach I’ll just get 2 then so I can apply 4 coats to everything. Thank you brother!
For the soap, do you just use Dawn dish soap?
Yeah you can use dawn, or any type of degreaser, so it will remove any waxes that will prevent the paint from sticking.
have you done anything to the exhaust
No I have not.
Where did you get the carbon emblem on ur steering wheel
It was something I bought off of wish. It was a cheap overlay, it looked good. But I wish it would have fit better.
Hi just wanted to know if how to remove the rear toyota emblem?
The best way to remove the emblem is a heat gun and some fishing line. And heat it up and wiggle the line behind the emblem to cut the glue behind it.
are you good to wash em? like it won’t come off if i scrub my car with soap?

hey brandon, how many cans did you use?
1 can was enough for all the emblems on my Corolla!
You use a toothpick not a metal screwdriver to remove excess. Your paint prefers it!
Totally agree, not sure what I was thinking when I was doing that! 👍
How long has the hyper dip lasted?
It’s probably been close to 2 years and still looks good!
@@BrandonStellmach Today I painted mine, I put 6 hands on it, do you think it's enough?
@@helfymolina5850 yeah 6 coats should be plenty!

I had it on my car for over 2 years and was still looking good!
@@BrandonStellmach Awesome! Thanks for the reply
I honestly was worried about the paint being on the car itself 😂😭
The paint will literally just wipe off with a damp microfiber towel.
i power wash my car would power washing remove the hyper dip on the emblems
I use a pressure washer all the time when I detail my car and I have no problems with the hyper dip!
Still looks flat black
It isn’t as glossy as I was hoping for, but it if much better then the normal flat black that plasti dip is.

Good caught! You don’t have to follow everything I do! If this was a brand new car I would probably be more cautious!
waste of money. use real paint.
I think it’s great! Because if you get tired of the color, you can change it up by just peeling it up!
not worth it
👍 👍
12:23 scratch appeared :p
Yeah I learned using a metal pick was not the best choice! Should have used a tooth pick or something plastic!
