I'm a strength guy. I usually watch Jeff Nippard, Athlean X, Alan Thrall and other Resistance Training focused channels. But I want to get my Splits and Advanced Pigeon pose to help with my Squat depth and Heavy Bulgarian Squat comfort. Your tutorial is money. Fast. Clear explanations. Look forward to incorporating it into my routine. Cheers.

Been wanting to learn how to split for a while. So glad I came across this video. I'm going to start with the first two stretches until I get blocks

Very effective flow, Celest! I enjoyed how you used the yoga blocks too. I need to get back into my splits training.

Lovely video as usual! :) How do you avoid pressure/pain on the knee in stretches like the first one? I can't handle the pain in my knees when I do stretches like the first one where I extend the leg that's on the floor. I wonder if I'm doing something wrong (not placing my knee properly on the ground) or if it's just something I have to get used to.
I'd love it if you could make a video talking about yoga resources for beginners: where to get started, what are your favorite beginner books about yoga, basics about the meaning of yoga etc. Love, Camelia

I had a little pain in my knee and placed a folded up blanket underneath the knee. Perhaps that can help you? I teach pregnancy yoga and this is a little tip I give my students.

caramelushca if you can't stand the pain you need to check with the doctor, you probably have an infection in your sinews. Be careful if you have pain don't ignore it listen to your body. To recover it will be hard!

I don't know if it's an infection, it's more like I feel my bones are getting crushed in that position. I've always had a hard time sitting on my knees for extended periods of time, but when I extend my leg like that it's really bad. I will try to be careful, as I've had knee injuries from straining my legs too much in a zumba class and it seems to have become sensitive since then. I can feel it when I'm running as well.

Hi Celeste. I stumbled across your videos from the hypermobile yogis page. I'm a little confused by this video. It sort of clashes with some of the other stuff I've learnt from the hypermobile yogis channel. This seems like passive stretching as opposed to the more active stretching that is generally considered safer for hypermobile people. I am a hypermobile yogi who has lost their ability to do the splits and would like to regain it safely without injury.

A couple of bounces or a fast walk can be beneficial!
