This is amazing! I've only just discovered these videos and I've been suffering from a herniated disc for nearly 8 months now. This is the first time I've actually felt comfortable doing exercise! The tailbone back bend is miraculous! Thank you!

Hi Carla, I hope you are doing better now? Did you continue to do these exercises? I, too, have been healing from a herniated disc from an injury that happened about 8 months ago.

Thank you so much for all your herniated disc videos, you have literally saved me as i had a herniated disc four years ago, I had been a keen runner for years and had practised yoga for many years also, unfortunately I did not realise that all the things I was doing were actually bad for my back. After months of physio I was discharged and told that I could never run again or do any yoga or I would certainly need surgery. That scared the life out of me so initially I did no exercise at all other than my Mackenzie exercises the physiotherapist had taught me but I soon realised that I couldnt live without exercise and not keeping fit was not an option so I researched for months to try to find out if there was any way I could return to my beloved yoga...and then I found your channel!! I still remember the first time I tried one of your original herniated disc routines, I was so scared that I would do more damage to my back, I probably hardly moved at all through any of the movements through sheer fear but I persevered and gradually found more confidence but it took me months to even do one of the routines fully without fear. Thanks to your calm clear instructions and positive and encouraging manner I progressed and grew stronger and I now do these four videos all together in one session, I find them so relaxing and I love seeing the progress Im making in the trickier movements every time. Thank you so much, you have brought yoga back into my life and I will forever be grateful to you for that :)

Thank you so much Celeste for doing these herniated disc videos! I've been doing them every day for a week now and they've had a massive positive impact on not only my back pain, but my fitness, flexibility and mental health too. I'm so grateful to you Celest!

I just found your herniated disc videos last week, and I have to say, they were a ray of light in darkness. From what I found, there aren't any other herniated disc yoga sequences anywhere on TH-cam. At least, there aren't any that are as mindful of extension and no flexion. You've really nailed it, and set me on a path to try to fix my L5/S1 herniation without injections. I'm only 30, so this herniation has be very challenging for me mentally and physically, but your videos have given me hope again. Thank you thank you thank you! Also, my therapist is now recommending your videos to everyone, specifically those with HNP. - Chante's Husband Kyle

As an aging lifter I tend to aggravate my L5/S1 on an almost annual basis these days. I've been using Celest's 4-part herniated disc series as my first couple days of physical rehab before going back into the gym the past several years. I'm leaving this comment today as I'm at day 1 of recovery once again.
These videos are good for shaving off a bit of recovery time as the hip and glute work definitely helps to improve the mobility quicker, allowing me to go from walking like Frankenstein's monster to an average Joe in the hour it takes to consecutively run the videos. After a few days I can then progress back into the gym for light weights (extended deload) and then restart a new mesocycle.

I’ve worked up to doing 2 or 3 of your different videos for herniated discs through the course of the day. Your videos seem to be the only thing that really helps my sciatica from disc herniation (aside from naproxen). I would love more, and hopefully eventually would love help reintroducing flexion...but not there yet.

Just found your channel & was diagnosed with an L5/S1 disc herniation. It PT right now but in the next 30 days plan on starting your videos. I have reviewed most of them & they look great! U have such a positive nurturing spirit looking forward too spending time with u in my recovery rehab program. If u can provide more a few more that are around 40-45 minutes that would be phenomenal! Wishing u the best & with much respect & appreciation.

I love all your herniated disc videos! I do them on repeat and by helping my low back they help the rest of my body. Your reminders about posture stick with me throughout the day and help me problem solve how to best support my low back. I have continual weakness from herniating a disc a couple of years ago so these videos have been magic! Thank you!!!!!

i have a herniated lumbar disc, these 4 series of short yoga videos by Cel are really amazing in many ways. Instructions are simple and clear, Cel understands well the postures that we have to maintain throughout the steps. it is really important as it wakes up my dormant core muscles, i can feel the difference already, and i love how much i sweat in just 10 mins of doing this!

Hello Celeste i want to ask you something; is it normal to have pain while doing these poses? I have two slipped discs (degenerated/they lost their liquid in them) and i was having pain lately like last 10days or so. Finally yesterday i felt little bit better and i tried your first video, 16mins one, and i started feeling the pain again. Not severe but still it hurts. Should i stop doing yoga or keep doing it and finally feel better? Thank you for your lovely videos btw. You're great!! I hope i feel better thanks to your videos ;)
