Today I’m going to share some really important information for people with autoimmune or inflammatory disorders.
An autoimmune disorder can occur when your immune system starts attacking healthy cells, and it can lead to a lot of damage and inflammation. Many autoimmune disorders start in the gut.
Your body has protective mechanisms to keep pathogens from invading the gut. But, pathogens may be allowed to pass through the intestinal barrier if you have intestinal permeability, also known as leaky gut. This can lead to someone developing an autoimmune disease.
There is a certain protein called zonulin that regulates intestinal permeability, and it’s typically elevated in autoimmune diseases or inflammatory diseases.
To find the best foods for autoimmune diseases, we need to look for foods that strengthen the intestinal barrier and keep zonulin in check.
The number one thing that helps regulate zonulin is your own microbiome-it's crucial to support your microbiome.
The best foods for autoimmune disorders:
    1. Probiotic foods (sauerkraut, kimchi, kefir, or a probiotic supplement)
    2. Fermented vegetables
    3. Foods high in sulforaphane (broccoli sprouts or a sulforaphane supplement)
    4. Foods high in glutamine (red cabbage, grass-fed beef, eggs, fish)
    5. Foods high in omega-3 fats (cod liver oil, salmon, sardines)
The most important nutrients for autoimmune conditions:
    1. Zinc
    2. Vitamin D
    3. Vitamin A
Things to avoid if you have an autoimmune disorder:
    • Antibiotics
    • Glyphosate
    • Gluten
    • Glucose
    • Fructose
    • Vegetable oils
    • Trans fats

Well I blame our corrupt medical community for pushing these vaccines on babies only a few months old. It turns out all the well-baby visits are really just 💉 visits. Shame on you MD’s.

I was diagnosed with Hashimoto Thyroiditis in June and they said it would have never reversed because my TSH was sooo high. I prayed over my thyroid and began eating protein (fish like salmon & seabass, eggs, turkey, chicken) and green veggies like zucchini, spinach, broccoli in November. THANK YOU DOCTOR!!!! I suck up all your leaky gut videos like a bone dry sponge in the desert being dropped in a bucket of water! I know it's going to put me on the right track, as many of your videos did and do in the past! Not only that, but I told my doctor I was going to stop all my prescriptions and I did while following your many leads, and now my blood work looks like it's from a different and healthy person! When people ask me what I did to get this way, I just send them to your home TH-cam page. That would do much better than a billion words from me! Thank you again!!! Oh! By the way, one of the prescriptions I stopped taking was a statin! A CT scan showed gallstones I never had before! So I followed the information in the "get rid of gallstones" video and IT WORKED!!! My poop is back to the right color and there are no more gallstones! (I also used your gallbladder helper supplement). I could go on and on all day explaining all the health problems you solved for me! AGAIN! THANK YOU DOCTOR!!!! My doctors were just making more health problems! (I'm going to go eat some sauerkraut for my rheumatoid arthritis. And make a shopping list off this video. That's been the toughest health woe for me)! 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

      @An_Equal ปีที่แล้ว +14

@@OGAesthetics I eat a lot, and I don't do keto. I just avoid specific foods like dairy (except grassfed butter), wheat, and grains. I also avoid sugars, unless it is fruit.
What I typically eat in a day from start to finish:
5 Pasture eggs and thick bacon accompanied it. Sometimes add a veggie with the meal like broccoli or onion.
Then I have bulletproof coffee with their creamer
(I drink my coffee about 12 hours before sleep)
      Hours later:
Fruit like a banana or orange or apple. Sometimes all 3.
      Hours later:
A decent sized salad with aruluga, bacon, avacado, pecans, goat cheese, tomatoes. The dressing is usually from a brand called BRAGGS (I think that's their name) or Extra Virgin Olive Oil and a vinaigrette.
      A few hours later:
Dinner is usually whatever my wife will make, and it's different based on a meal service she subscribed us to. However, it's topically a meat with some vegetables and sometimes a starchy carb (which I don't eat a lot of).
I also usually eat more after dinner just to insure I got enough food in my day, like hotdogs, eggs, and or salmon. Also maybe an apple with real peanut butter.
I eat a lot because my daily life is extremely active. I got to the gym regularly, and am delivery driver for UPS. If I wasn't nearly as active, I would just eat 1 fruit with my salad and the dinner all in one big meal once a day.
A big sign to make note of is how you feel after you eat certain foods. If you feel tired after eating certain foods, then avoid them or consume much less of them. That's something I've noticed after drastically changing my diet from the last few months.

I have studied few medical and medical fields. I have a deeper knowledge of biochemistry microbiology, medical specialties and physiology. However, physicians have less breadth knowledge especially in nutrition and old traditional medicine, though there is trend to study those. Dr. Berg provides a breath and fresh, easy to understand and educative on many subjects to many people who are disabused by the modern, over specialized practitioners. For that, we owe him a great appreciation. In my opinion his contribution ( and others) should be recognized by the Health department, perhaps even more than that. I know the politics of the medical field resist that, but the. Wellbeing of the people is much more important than exclusivity. Well done Dr. Berg!

Thank you Dr.Berg. I see you and Dr. Eckberg as my doctors now! Food as medicine is the way to go. It is difficult jn a western culture..as most supermarket aisles are to be avoided..but my go to is avoid anything packaged or mono crop grains, soya, sugar. This was good revision as I need to up the probiotic foods. I think avoiding the nightshade veggies where possible for anyone with autoimmune also makes sense. Am wondering what I am still doing wrong as although I am much improved..I don't feel "better" yet. Is it just a matter of time? I started with asthma age 9, M.E age 30. Done IF for last 3 years. Now nearly age 50. Also, I avoid inflammatory foods..exercise more. I have gone from being virtually bed ridden to a 2 to 3 hours of energy a day, while I am grateful for the Improvement...why am I still not fully better? How long on average until the autoimmune disease is fully healed? Thank you.

I remember when my daughter was really sick and spent a week in McMaster Hospital, Hamilton, Ontario. Five different doctors assessing her. At the end of the week, one of the doctors spoke to my then husband and me. I didn't understand a word she was saying, except at the end when she told us that our daughter had vasculitis, Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). It is so nice Dr. Berg to understand you. You do a great job of explaining.

In a hives crisis I had, eating fermented/probiotic foods aggressively aggravated the symptoms. I managed to cure myself by two measures:
    1) eliminating all foods that contain histamine or that promote histamine production. As the intensity of the symptoms of hives went linearly with great discomfort in digestion, I deduced that I had a permeable intestine and that the particles that entered the blood were the ones that caused the skin reaction, so the second measure...
    2) was precisely to take medical doses of L-glutamine. (very high quality kyowa formulation, not the cheap stuff)
But I insist, fermented foods, with the permeable intestine, aggravated the symptoms aggressively. I mention this in case it is useful to anyone.

By week 3 the results were _remarkable_ and I realized that I had actually _forgotten_ what it felt like to feel _normal_ , because I had been in depression, discomfort, desperation mode for so long at that point that my mental framework had recalibrated to a new, not-good normal.

I have severe ankylosing spondylitis. The food that causes me the worst inflammation is vegetable oils its so much worse than even sugar or refined carbs. After eating anything with it in it i can feel the inflammation within minutes even in places like my hands where AS isn't supposed to affect. The best foods for me have been fatty meats.
