Check out Dr. Whals interviews, she has talked about how medical conditions/illnesses are connected to problems on the cellular level, immunological level. And look into the connection between the a toxic colon and illnesses.
I'm very happy that Dr Wahls is feeling better but she never mentions that she also had very aggressive chemotherapy. Please take everything she says with a humongous grain of salt.
I'm confused on her comment on eggs causing inflammation... I have MS, and UC and I eat eggs fine (in fact it's a staple) and my inflammatory markers are low while consuming them....
She makes it very clear in her book that eggs are not included in her program, which she originally wrote for her own healing, because she is personally allergic to eggs. She recommends that everyone give up eggs for the first phase of her protocol, in the elimination phase which is very strict, but eggs are one of the first things she says that you can add back in to see if you are allergic to them. If you have no symptoms from adding the eggs, then you are able to include them in your own healthy eating protocol. The same goes for things like legumes, nuts, and non-gluten grains. If you first clear your system of all of those things that may cause or exacerbate inflammation, then you can slowly add things back carefully watching to see if you have a reaction to them. But gluten and dairy are no-nos forever for people with autoimmune issues.
True. You always have to individualise these things. I can’t eat red meats. No grains And certain veg effects me. So I focus on what seems to help me and stick to that despite different diets being trendy!
You need a better quality of bacon fat. Obviously, fat from CAFO produced bacon is just as carcinogenic as the feed given to the pigs. Rendered fat from pastured healthy pigs is health food and she also mentioned goose fat, which is also delicious and nutritious.
Plant based unfortunately triggered my autoimmune. I feel best on just meat (and loads of bacon!!!) but I love veggies so I eat them in moderation and that works for me.
It's a lot of information out there, one says this another says that and the doctors know NOTHING, no one knows what to believe! Just listen to your body, it knows and will tell you everything. Let living food be your medicine, not bacon 🤗
In addition to leafy greens and colorful vegetables, people with Crohn's should eat lots of fermented foods. A variety of fermented foods can help tremendously.
It is important to buy uncured bacon without the nitrates and preservatives. Aldi's, if you have one in your area, carries a very good bacon from Canada which does not contain the nitrates and other bad stuff. It's sold under the brand of "Never Any," referring to the bad chemicals in cured bacon.
See every autoimmune condition has same, etiology and pathology but the antigen mimicking is basically gluten, lectin, lactose, casein, etc....and is same for every autoimmunity
Sjogren's, Lupus, MS, any of the autoimmune conditions are just variants of Lyme. That's where people have to start. One diet can't be plastered over infinite variations of damage.
I think that was mushrooms in the pot before she put the kayle and not sure, but I think in olive oil. Also if you over do the green leafy stuff you could get kidney stones or blood clotting problems. Everything in moderation.
A lot of times she cooks with bacon fat - especially her greens. She says to use plant oils like olive oil cold like in salads, and animal fat, from good sources for cooking.
You're correct. I started feeding my dog a home cooked diet which included greens. Unfortunately she developed a mass in her bladder & kidney problems. I'll never feed my dog greens again.
the green leafy vegetables is what my daughter has to limit or avoid .she has a rare blood clot disorder Antiphospholipid anti body syndrome [Hughes syndrome]. and also not a good idea for older americans prone to cardiac disease. she should caution persons watching her video. another draw back with this diet are oxalate kidney stones if a person is prone to kidney stones .the herbs parsley, cilantro, basil etc can also cause clots and stones .all I can say about this is do more research before starting a diet like this
She told about all cruciferous vegetables for Autoimmune diseases but if it is for thyroids Hashimoto then thy r not supposed to eat this vegetables pls answer my question
The reason you are not supposed to eat these vegetables for thyroid issues is because it depletes iodine and iodine is essential for thyroid function. You have to eat a bit of sea weed to keep your iodine levels up, Dr Whals recommends eating sea weed at least once or twice a week.
you can eat these foods, but it's best to cook them first which stops them being goitrogenic. You can also eat them raw, just don't eat them raw all the time. You'd have to eat a lot to significantly affect your thyroid anyway. I'm hypothyroid and I eat kale, broccoli and cabbage quite often. Usually cooked but not always. It's never made the slightest bit of difference to my health. Neither has coffee. The one thing that really made a difference was ditching gluten.
You can get iodine from black walnut tincture too. As long as you have enough iodine you can eat those greens which have a lot of nutrients that you need. Don't throw out the baby with the bath water.
hi, i don't believe the diet is a standard solution for everyone, nobody is the same. You have to look at your own state of health and see what deficiencies or imbalances you have, the root cause of the disease etc.... As I mentioned above, this is the TCM approach, first step is always bringing balance back by diet, if this is not enough than you can use herbs and acupuncture to restore Qi (traditional Chinese medicine). In most cases, changing the diet is sufficient. So find urself a good Tcm practitioner (especially the pulse diagnosis is important) and you can go from there.
@@tensas Thank you for the answer. And I take this opportunity to tell you that I found something miraculous that seems to be a cure for all autoimmune diseases including multiple sclerosis: PROTOCOL COIMBRA. Research about it, it is very worthwhile.
I have had chronic fatigue and horrible brain fog for years and this diet has helped me greatly. Also you don't have to follow everything exactly as she mentions, some foods may not work for you just listen to your body.

And for all wild animals and animals with wings , and the ones who lives and moves on earth I gave them green vegetation for food . God gave permission to eat animals only after the flood .
Ok, so I’m not going to slam this down and say this is trash however what I do want to know Is I have very aggressive MS. The neuro says I have smouldering MS too (I’m not to sure on what really is tbh) however I would like to know if you would be so kind, would you quit ty and go for the walhs?
I mean what do you have to lose, that medications isn't going to cure you, it's just suppressing your symptoms. You need to find the root cause of your MS and the root cause is usually nutrition and stress. Ease into it and see how you feel, listen to your body if you feel bad then stop and if you feel great then keep going.
don't quit it, just do the diet as well if you think it will help you. medications that are for MS are clinically shown (proven) to slow down the progression of the condition and reduce symptoms. Diets aren't. Dietary adjustments could help too, but if you quit the medication, you're taking a big risk that your health will decline. It doesn't have to be one or the other.

You are lacking a certain mineral, you need to figure out wich one it is. Ask yourself, are you getting enough healthy fats? Are you getting enough minerals from a good Celtic sea salt? Are you hydrated?
Sounds like dehydration and lack of quality salt. You need electrolytes. You can make your own with a huge glass of ice water, squeeze a lemon and an orange in the water and than use pink Himalayan salt. This should help with the cramps and spasms
No green veggies? Ok, you're not going to fare well at all! Start with something easy, like green beans...add to soups or stews if u must. Once u learn how to cook veggies more lightly, U will soon love them. IMO, it's the boiled, canned veggies that stink. Also, try some of the interesting 'chopped' salads available. I love the ones with dried cranberries. Challenge yourself with small servings. Once u get off sugar, other foods will taste amazing.
Guess what’s the fattest organ in your body? The brain, is 60% fat. MS attacks the brain and Spinal cord. must make sense with science. Like collagen from bone broth goes right into our skin. The problem here that we don’t want to admit is sugar, the real killer.
There is nothing wrong with animal fats if they're from clean sources. Meaning fed the proper diet. The myth that fat is bad is what is causing a lot of our problems over the past 50 years or so. The fact that people use butter substitutes created in a lab as opposed to real butter because they're scared of fat is just insane. Fat phobia is so counterproductive.
its basically the traditional Chinese medicine (food) method. Meat is important in this diet, pork for certain deficiency's, beef etc...beans. Also what she says about the mushrooms, etc...its all from TCM

Yes Hashimotos is an autoimmune disease just like MS, this way of eating treats all kinds of autoimmune disorders. The only thing I would suggest if you have Hashimotos is to eat a bit of sea weed once a week and one or two Brazil nuts a day to keep your iodine and selenium levels up as those two minerals are crucial for thyroid function.

Not even gonna try what they'll do to me now. But I eat bacon and everything is fine.
The amount of magnesium through diet compensates that low fat inkate also sugar. High fat intake blocks magnesium absorption, high sugar intake depletes magnesium. It takes a lot of magnesium to proccess that sugar
yeah the bacon confused me as well. I plan on using Avocado oil, better than olive oil for high temperature cooking and obviously better than bacon fat.
Animal fats are essential to optimal brain function - the human brain and immune system would not have attained it's great capabilities if our ancestors hadn't started eating meat and animal fats. If you use a high quality oil olive that is pressed hours from harvest with a biophenol count of 500 or above you can cook with it and not worry about the peroxide levels raising while cooking. The oil helps you better absorb the nutrients in vegetables and is actually very good for you.
I hear dr Joel Furhman he doesn't agree with oils he said no oils healthy even olive oil and oils after eating the body stored like fat especially in waist line and also olive oil just one table spoon cantain much calorie without benefits

Agreed! We grow olives and produce our own Extra Virgin Olive Oil with amazing results -- excellent markers for all the healthy 'chemicals'

@@martinaharrison1608 Hi Martina, I can only imagine how awful you feel. In Australia we have a National Disability Insurance Agency that allocates funds so those that are living with disabilities are allocated a certain amount of funding that helps them employ support workers to do the things they are unable to do. Not sure is other countries have similar programs. I go and cook for people and do all sorts of other work for them and what I find is that their diets are a major issue. It is good that you have seen that change is possible over time. @@zoemcgonegal7734 that was in her initial treatment process of MS. I guarantee she’d reconsider it now
I'm confused on her comment on eggs causing inflammation... I have MS, and UC and I eat eggs fine (in fact it's a staple) and my inflammatory markers are low while consuming them....
What diet do you follow for reducing MS?? please share
Dr sebi says eat alkaline only and he also says eggs are inflammatory but so is meat and she eats that
You lost me at bacon fat (a known carcinogen). I have lupus and a plant-based diet has helped improve my symptoms.
There is no statistically significant evidence for bacon fat being a carcinogen. Only weak correlation.
Same!
I'm confused. Information I found says Bacon is bad for inflammation.
I thought so too because it's processed
It's a lot of information out there, one says this another says that and the doctors know NOTHING, no one knows what to believe! Just listen to your body, it knows and will tell you everything. Let living food be your medicine, not bacon 🤗
I feel best on meat only. Bacon included
Not if you use a big pot 😂

I don't think it will work for Ulcerative and Crohn's. Not at least during flare ups.

Wait, bacon?? Wouldn't that be one of the worst things? Processed red meat high in salt...
Without high carbs salt leaves the body quickly so more is needed
It is important to buy uncured bacon without the nitrates and preservatives. Aldi's, if you have one in your area, carries a very good bacon from Canada which does not contain the nitrates and other bad stuff. It's sold under the brand of "Never Any," referring to the bad chemicals in cured bacon.
She did not mention Sjogren's, I wonder if it applies also to SS, thanks
I would like to ask the same question!!! I was Diagnosed with Sjogrens as well!
I keep trying this protocol. It is a hard one to stick with, but I have noticed it improves my Sjogren's symptoms and helped my horrible fatigue.
Aren't mushrooms inflammatory?
You're correct. I started feeding my dog a home cooked diet which included greens. Unfortunately she developed a mass in her bladder & kidney problems. I'll never feed my dog greens again.
the green leafy vegetables is what my daughter has to limit or avoid .she has a rare blood clot disorder Antiphospholipid anti body syndrome [Hughes syndrome]. and also not a good idea for older americans prone to cardiac disease. she should caution persons watching her video. another draw back with this diet are oxalate kidney stones if a person is prone to kidney stones .the herbs parsley, cilantro, basil etc can also cause clots and stones .all I can say about this is do more research before starting a diet like this
What about when your allergic to meat I can eat fish ok but other meats I get a bad reaction

Surely goitrogenic greens like kale would be a problem for people with thyroid disease.
I was thinking the same thing wonder what the answer is..perhaps because it’s cooked?

Not so bad if cooked. But eggs are full of iodine and lost me at no eggs. I’m iodine deficient and this isn’t going to work for me

She told about all cruciferous vegetables for Autoimmune diseases but if it is for thyroids Hashimoto then thy r not supposed to eat this vegetables pls answer my question
I agree
Hello. Can anyone who has tried this diet tell me a little about their experiences and if there has been improvement?
hi, i don't believe the diet is a standard solution for everyone, nobody is the same.

Animals in the wild eat each other all the time, we are no different.
Look what is written in the Bible , what is the food that God gave for humans and for animals . ( Genesis 1 v. 29 , 30 ) . All plants that gives seeds and all trees that gives fruits and seeds . And for all wild animals and animals with wings , and the ones who lives and moves on earth I gave them green vegetation for food . God gave permission to eat animals only after the flood .

Ok, so I’m not going to slam this down and say this is trash however what I do want to know Is I have very aggressive MS. I’m on tysabri, I have not relapsed being on this treatment however each year I am declining.

So all the veg with pesticides are going to cure ? Or use organic x

Can you take vitamin k if a person dont want to eat green vegetables
No green veggies? Ok, you're not going to fare well at all! Start with something easy, like green beans...add to soups or stews if u must. Once u learn how to cook veggies more lightly, U will soon love them. IMO, it's the boiled, canned veggies that stink. Also, try some of the interesting 'chopped' salads available. I love the ones with dried cranberries. Challenge yourself with small servings. Once u get off sugar, other foods will taste amazing.
the vegetables give you an anti anti inflammatory effect reducing general aching . I don't think vit k alone can do that.

Guess what’s the fattest organ in your body? The brain, is 60% fat. MS attacks the brain and Spinal cord. must make sense with science. Like collagen from bone broth goes right into our skin. The problem here that we don’t want to admit is sugar, the real killer.
Bacon has been used for such purposes by peasants for centuries.

Yes Hashimotos is an autoimmune disease just like MS, this way of eating treats all kinds of autoimmune disorders. Animal fats are essential to optimal brain function - the human brain and immune system would not have attained it's great capabilities if our ancestors hadn't started eating meat and animal fats.
Vegans can try and deny this as much as they want - but their brains *still wouldn't be where they are today without their ancestors having eaten animals.
