Today, I want to share the best food for inflammation.
This food is powerful for any type of inflammatory condition, autoimmune disease, or any condition that ends in “itis.”
There is an interesting connection between inflammation in your joints and inflammation in your gut. To get rid of inflammation, we can’t forget about supporting a healthy gut.
    Top foods that cause inflammation:
    • Grains
    • Alcohol
    • Sugar
    • Junk foods/ultra-processed foods
    • Corn
    • Soy
    • Seed oils
    • A1 milk proteins
    • Fiber and functional fiber products
    • Plant-protein products
Even beans, legumes, and vegetables can contribute to the problem if you have an inflammatory condition. You may need to try the carnivore diet for a little while.
The root cause of inflammation starts in the gut, and it’s called intestinal permeability or leaky gut. Glutamine, an important amino acid for your colon cells, is essential for this situation.
The best food to fight inflammation is beef, which is very high in glutamine. Glutamine greatly supports the gut and is beneficial for inflammatory conditions.
One of the best anti-inflammatory foods for vegans and vegetarians is cabbage. Cabbage, especially red cabbage, is a great source of glutamine.
Other foods rich in glutamine include:
    • Sheep or goat cheese
    • Kefir
    • Eggs
    • Fish
    • Bone broth

Hey Doc! I agree with you and I think that what you have to offer is really important. When it comes to beef though, we have to be sure that we understand what needs to change. It’s not that we need to get rid of the beef industry. Is that it needs a complete overhaul. Most of the beef industry is harming these animals and treating them horribly. Have you ever seen one of these places where all these cows are trapped in a tight space and they’re basically just eating their own feces? It’s pretty disgusting. So we need to be clear when we’re talking about these kinds of things and say it needs to be really clean beef from a great source. And in the process we need to change the industry! We can’t just go around telling people to eat beef when you know they’re just gonna go out and buy that crap at the grocery store. It’s full of toxins and poisons. And most people can’t afford to buy the quality beef these days because it’s got to be local grass fed and treated well. Otherwise, our bodies won’t actually get the benefit you’re talking about. So there’s this. Please talk about this fact more, thank you.

Zevia makes sugar free sodas sweetened with stevia thus their brand name, so if you crave soda you might want to try that. Dr Zevia is my favorite, root beer, ginger ale, and their caffeine free cola as well. It's not a perfect copy of the sugar free brands but they're pretty close. Their Mt Dew copy was awful although I found their pink grapefruit tasted similar to Mt Dew or maybe like 7 Up, it's kind of trial and error.
I'm glad you've come so far and you're getting your daughter involved in healthy eating, good for you!

I know four people in my family that suffer with so much inflammation in her body. My daughter was just diagnosed with hypo thyroidism and my other daughter has suffered with gut problems for years. My two sisters also deal with a lot of inflammation. I’m passing this video onto them. Hopefully they will realize they need to throw out pretty much everything in their cabinet and go for the fresh meat and vegetables. Extremely informative thank you

I learn a lot from you guys (Eric Berg, Sten Ekberg, John Campbell, ...). I love your channels and I confirm that it helps without taking pills. I feel much better now since I am doing intermittent fasting (16-8) and since I am more aware of healthy food (less sugar/carbs/processed foods); No more itchy arms, less weight, more energy, ... better sleep without big effort in fact. Me happy :-). From Belgium, with love.

Limiting gluten and cutting out refined sugars and cooking oils has definitely helped me, but beef (and any red meat for that matter) was such a trigger for my eczema I couldn’t go back to that. It didn’t matter how lean the meat was or if it was organic or grass fed, etc. Cabbage I’ll definitely do tho!

Yeah, me too. I just don’t digest meat well, bloated. It’s not a one approach that works for everyone for sure. Fermented foods are great. Think everything comes down to gut health. I felt the best years ago eating right for my blood type. Got to be some truth in it for me. Cellular inflammation is culprit!

Dr. Berg! You’ve helped me so much! I appreciate this video and as you know… the only tricky thing is glutamine and cancer. I hope you continue to work with Professor Seyfried and others looking for ways to block glutamine in the “press/pulse” strategy. 🙏🏽

    Thank you, Dr. Berg!!!
Interestingly, I recently obtained red cabbage - which I had never eaten before (and I DO eat a fair amount of veggies, and berries) - of all places - at the local food bank.(And I looked up ways as to how to cook it). It waa delicious, but, i discovered just how hard it seems to come by.
So, i bought seeds and will try to plant them in a very small plot near my apartment. (This is March, so, it's almost time to try to plant them. )
Thank you, again for so much helpful information!❤
