- I felt the urge to make some Bleach videos again so lets tackle all the zanpakuto used by the original 13 captains of the Gotei 13.
What are your thoughts on Yama's sword and what other abilities he could have used with his bankai that we just never saw? How could have YHWACH used this ability against Ichigo?

I like the fact that Yamamoto had actual sword techniques that would fuck you up that had nothing to do with Ryujin Jakkas power, he was the shinigami that was iconically a true samurai.

A theory of Unohana's Bankai:
We know that her Shikai can heal people or grant "vitality" but where does said vitality come from? We know that in her past, she was a brutal killer and captain of the barbaric Squad 11. She has most likely taken 1000's of lives with her Bankai. So it's my theory that her Bankai can steal "vitality" from others and that her Shikai can grant said "vitality" to others.

makes perfect sense since her sword of blood slashed kenpachi and kenpachi looked like only his skin rotted but not his skull unlike barragans ability to rot so more definitely unohana stole his life force causing kenpachi to look like a skull corpse and healed him back by returning his vitality to him thus kenpachi was close to death a thousand times and regaining his former power every near death.
This is canon to me now. Great theory

The point of North is it focuses all of Zanka no Tachi's power in the tip of the blade, so that anything it touches disintegrates. No wasted power, no flames fanning out: everything is concentrated to one attack.
If East is basically a flamethrower, then North is a highly-concentrated Shin Godzilla-esque laser beam.

It's not just the tip of the sword that he focuses his power into, it's the entire edge. Which I sure we can all agree is far more terrifying

Zanpakuto and Kido are both fueled by Spiritual Energy, not Spiritual Pressure. Just think about what the Word Pressure is, if you have doubt about that.

Not all 'used' Reiryoku is by default Reiatsu, no.
Kido is using the energy directly, so to speak.
That's also why the colours are specific and there are 'effects' of the Energy to begin with: It all comes down to 'program the energy'.
That's what Kido is.
here's a disturbing thought. what if, someone found the medallion that his Bankai was sealed in and knew exactly what it was and just kinda kept it for "save keeping"
They wouldn't be able to use it unless they were as or more powerful than Yamamoto. When Yamamoto is in his bankai state he is literally tanking the heat and power of his own Bankai's,15 million degree celcius, Armor of the Sun, and Yamamoto himself stated that he can only withstand it for a limited amount of time before it kills him. This is also why the scenario Tekken envisioned where Yhwach, after getting shot by the arrow, pulling out the medallion with Yama's Bankai in it as a backup would not have worked cause after losing all his power he would lack the necessary power to keep the Bankai from vaporizing himself immediately. As you remember without blut-vein active Yhwach stated he would be vaporized from even being in the vicinity of the Armour of the Sun,meaning using it without his power wouldbe suicide. But the scenario you described would make for a great plot for Kubo to use or a fan fiction.

That idea actually inspired me to start creating a kinda-sort-of-a-fan fiction, as well as numerous OCs.
Basically, it centers around one of the original captains of the Gotei 13, Dōgen Yamauchi, who deserted soul society 500 years before Bleach.

If you think about, Aizen actually did win. He's immortal and constantly growing stronger, the soul king is dead along with most of his strongest enemies, and all he has to do is wait until he feels like pulling his bondage gear off and conquering the universe.

Sy A It is, ultimately, a subjective idea- who is more capable as an artist. In the early days of both mangas- there is an argument to be had. However, as both mangas progressed? I believe it is almost a subjective fact that Oda was found to be a more superior artist. Yeah Kubo was rushed, in the later days of Bleach far more so, but regardless- there is a large statement to be made, simply, by the fact that Jump never forced Oda’s hand. Idk, comparing their art styles, and their manga in general, I prefer One Piece. That goes to show my bias, but I am aware of it. Most Bleach fans will agree- Kubo’s drawings degraded with time. The technology gap will say otherwise, but most understand that technology and Kubo’s passion did not grow together. Oda on the other hand? Ignoring the assist the success of his story provided- the man, almost super naturally, progressed his abilities with each chapter. There is a reason we call him Goda (God Oda). Oda > Kubo? I would say yes, but that question comes back towards the idea subjectivity.

who else wanted to see yhwach do some madara level flexing, something like "I dont even need to use my almighty to beat you lowly sternritters" and just pulls out yamamotes bankai and starts schooling fools with just that?
That would’ve been awesome and he should’ve used all the schrifts of the sternritters like the Visonary and X-axis.
It's really sad he just stole it so Yamamoto didn't have it. Cause I don't remember him actually ever using it...

I actually love old man yamamoto.
Ryugin Jakka is one of my favorite power phrases.
Along with Masenko Haaa, Rasengan, mangegyko sharingan, Getsuga Tensho, and Gomu Gomu no Fusen
They make me feel energized, good for work, and gym.
I love that Aizen's only method of taking out Yamamoto was to use his own power against him. Aizen with all his power and intelligence was only able to fight Yamamoto by putting him inna situation where his Bankai was not an option and to nuke him with his own Shikai flames.
I feel Yamamoto is like captain atom. He's so powerful he's worried of killing his allies and destroying everything he's supposed to protect. Therefore he has to limit the range of effect. It therefore limits his battle effectiveness.
Or Superman with his carboard speech
So, yamamoto developed the south, east and west versions during the 1,000 years. That's how it seems to me. Because royd (I think) or Lloyd, remembered the captain commanders bankai slash attack. And, his north slash attack reminds me of exactly that. Just an all out beastly attack. To me it would obviously be the most basic but, powerful attack in his arsenal. It'd basically be like ichigos getsuga tensho, Just a massive outpouring of energy in a directed point. So it would only make sense for the others to be a more refined version of that original attack.
Sometimes simplicity can be deadly. Nothing is more simple and effective then a dagger striking at a weak spot. It can be the same for many aspects of battle.
I don't think I will ever forget the English voice actor releasing Ryujin Jakka. It is so intense. "All things in heaven and earth are but ash! Ryujin jakka!" The music starts going and all I could think was Yes yes yes yes!!!

@@randomcatname7792 that one is good too. All of them are so badass. I always hoped to hear Neil Kaplan say "Great Burial Ranks of the Ten Trillion Fire Dead" it would have been amazing. Genuinely I think he was the perfect English voice actor for Yamamoto
You could do a discussion about the lieutenants. You talk before about the captains in the series, but I don't know if you ever done one with their lieutenants. That would be great if you could do it!
The sword in the caine maybe a reference to when swords were outlawed in Japan
Glad I tackled all of bleach recently to truly enjoy tekking and now he returns to talking about it. Hell yeah
In hindsight Kubo did give us a good reason for why Aizen did not break out even though he could. He was bidding his time for the hyogyoku to evolve. And apparently it respond to the situation at hand even if Aizen is the one who caused it...like with his attempt to kill Harribel. I guess he'd figured he'd sit back at let the Espada kill as many of the Gotei as possible if possible. Rather they won or not wasn't important and they'd at the very least exhaust the opposition
He did seem to think that if they lost then he could casually deal with them as he saw fit. No need to get involved if he doesn't want to. I disagree with his decision to try and kill Harribel for practical reasons and others, but not my decision to make. He did seem to have some degree of justification for his confidence as shown later.

Also most zanpaktō look more like a katana however Yamamoto’s zanpaktō looks more like an older Japanese sword known as a nodachi (meaning great sword in Japanese)

Dude, I love your energy and genuine excitement when talking Bleach; and Yamamoto is my absolute fav ^_^
Bleach had its more than "15 min of Fame"..and more than "15 min of shame".....
But the fact the doesn't change...Bleach had some awasome stories at the begining,introducing some awsome concepts...One of such concepts was the Zanpakuto....(side note: my fave was Byakuya's)
So i am all for a series discussing the Captain level Zanpakuto....

To be honest, Yeah some of the filler in the anime was bad (I don't mind the zanpaktou or the fake gotei 13 filler but the rest is meh) and the very end of the blood war arc in the manga was rushed but A: thats not his fault and B: The rest is all great.
@@Niick3015 Well if I'm going to be honest....my problems with bleach started since Hueco Mundo.
Now there were still characters introduced that I liked and moments that i enjoyed....but it never fulfilled the potential with which the Soul Society arc ended...not for me.
And as for the TYBW arc....it was pretty glaring to me that Kubo never wanted to go that far....but you know....it made a lot of money...and in this age of commercialism that takes precedence over pretty much everything.*sigh*
But like i said....I'm all for celebrating the things that it did do right:)

The entire time Aizen was the main villain there was ZERO setup that had anything to do with Juha or the Sternritters or any practical setup that you look for when writing this sort of long term narrative......or maybe I'm just that dumb
And i also say this because of the ending we got after Aizen's defeat...It was such a beautifully somber yet happy ending that was perfect for the series...
