Yeah, Rose was kinda an idiot by explaining how his Bankai works. At least with Shunsuei, his Shikai relies on children's games. So, he kinda has to explain to his opponent how to play the game.
TheLuckyFateReviewer i mean in a life and death battle most opponents are ok with losing a sense as long as they win, the fact he thought his opponent wouldn’t take the opportunity to make his bankai useless is concerning. he’s captain level, does that mean no opponent he’s fought before made themselves deaf to counter his bankai? hell i’d lie about how my bankai work if it had such a fatal flaw.

As much as I don't like the walls of text in HunterxHunter, since a manga it's a visual/text medium Kubo should've probably explained abilities that way. I mean, I'm sure Kubo was itching to showcase Rose's final bankai ability but couldn't due to time constraints.

Shunsuei's shikai only works if his opponent both knows what they're playing and how it works, so he has to explain it
There's a line he says about this, that goes something like "a game's no fun if you don't know how to play" or "if only one person knows how to play".
I don't really remember.
Can we just realize that tekking cut his hair short just to give us the nostalgia when he did his old bleach episodes.

I've always wanted an Arc based around them and the possibility of a cult like group of failed imitations that Aizen abandoned. We learn more about them, their past and their thoughts about soul society. How they spent a century in a constant state of growth and innovation while soul society just seems to stagnate. We could've seen how the Squads react to the reinstated Captains.

Rodrigo Argueta Alba put up a better fight too . Let’s just also dwell on the fact that most of our hero characters get ass stomped and don’t even show their true powers . So in a way we’re always being trolled .
First. Kensei's strongest move must be his Tekken tumble.
It won’t let me comment so I wanted to say here that my assumption is that the flap on Kensei is there because TECHNICALLY have two brass knuckles would mean he’s a dual wielder. And his zanpakto isn’t a twin zanpakto
The flap connects the knuckles together making it so it’s still one weapon
I thought they were there to absorb the impact of his blows so it won't affect his body much. Idk just a thought.

Vizard's deserve better. During the blood war I wish we had the first wave of battle and not show the vizard's battles until the end and show that normal captains all lost very badly and Hype up hollow powers being more to quincy by showing the vizard's win thier battles

@@strawhatshinigami9190 well it's weird they lost as they have hollow powers and didnt use it. Could have been perfect to see Mayuri puzzle out how to fight the quincy or at least set it up to show the vizard's would play s bigger role and see thier bankai
@@ivanbluecool I agree . They literally could have changed the tide of the war by a landslide . Being poison to Quincy's should have played a huge role in the final arc. But,i guess that wouldve been too easy . Which is probably why it wasnt brought up in the Mayuri vs Giselle or Grimmjow vs Askin . Well,with Askin its probably because he's immune to damn near everything

The Vizards were the most unique looking group of characters in Bleach, but Captain Shunsui will always be my guy!!

@@thewarrior8497 Captain Shunsui by far, first time him and Jushiro were introduced as Old Man Yama adopted sons... Ah I just loved Shunsui personality and style, but Old Man Yama is pretty cool... I would love to see a prequel about the first Captains of the Gotei 13 just because they were apparently a bunch of monsters and thugs before Old Man Yama reformed everything

@@thewarrior8497 Shunsui's clearly better. Yamamoto just followed the orders of Central 46 without question, while Shunsui is a lot more independently minded. Yama's character poem is literally "You may live bowing on your knees, but die standing on your feet"
Here's my issue with Rose's Bankai, even if Mask de Masculine ruptured his eardrums he should still be able to effected him. Here's why, deaf people can still "hear" music by feeling the reverberations, especially Mask de Masculine because he wasn't born deaf. Mask might not be hit by the full force of Rose's Bankai because he's not listening to the music in the conventional sense but being that he has more than likely heard music at one point in his life I would think that the reverberations would at least make his mind wander, and have unknown effects instead of what Rose might have intended. Just my rambling thoughts though

@Eric Hinton hmm.... That's a good question. I guess the easiest answer would be inconsistent writing but that sounds like a copout excuse. I think Mask was either
1) picking up on his "biggest fans" visual ques. or
2) sensing his "biggest fans" spiritual pressure and just assumed that as long as he was alive he would still be cheering for him.
I'd personally go with the latter because after Renji offed that annoying meatball, mask seemed rather desperate knowing that his source of power was gone. But that's just speculation and I can't really think of another way he could hear the cheering , I hadn't given it much thought till now.

@@crimsonemperor2134 it never specifies he has to hear it. James is tied to Masc so all James has to do is cheer. For example James cheered when he was just a mouth. He wouldn't be able to do that without a living body. Its not a literal ability. Most of the Sternritter have conceptual abilities
My guess, it isn't just being aware of the music, it's more being able to "appreciate it", as in hear it, since music is mostly designed to be heard.
The fight of Rose and Mask bothers me. Mask's ability makes him stronger when he's being cheered on, but if he bursts his ear drums then he shouldnt be able to hear the cheers so his powers shouldn't work anymore.

Well I guess u could say it’s kind of like a ‘if a tree fell and nobody was around to hear it did it make a sound kind of thing’ because even if he can’t hear it his body can still sense it being there👐🏽
I think it's more like he has to 'feel' someone cheering him on more than anything. Like if you had someone cheering him on without any enthusiasm, more just saying the words than anything, or sarcastically I don't think Mask would get the power boost.

Totally unrelated to this video, and it just came to me when he mentioned Aizen: I think the one of the smartest moves Aizen ever did was recruiting Kaname to his side. He is the only one, in theory, to be immune to Aizens zanpakuto, and by recruiting him, Aizen got rid of one of his potential weaknesses. A big brain chess move there.
And btw, Lisa became the captain of 8th Division

If i remember correctly, Aizen did explain that particular fact when he was explaining his Zanpakuto to Unohana and Isane, right after slashing Hitsugaya. I could be wrong, but I'm ready to swear he did.

Indeed he does. Episode 60. He explains it to Unohana as Tosen traps Renji and Rukia.
Hiyori's is basically Renji's with no moving pieces, at least in Shikai form.

Hopefully it doesn't break as easily as Renji's cuz my god Zabimaru was fragile, if I'm not mistaken a pre-shikai Ichigo was able to break it in like episode 16-17.
@@kana22693 I don't remember it breaking that early, but I think that could have been when Ichigo's power fluctuated and messed with Renji a little. I know it did in the Soul Society arc cause Renji got the shit beat out of him in that arc. Once by Ichigo, and by Byakuya.
Edward Armstrong Ichigo only broke his shikai in there second fight maybe it happened in the manga but still it was the second fight right wasn’t episode 16 still in the substitute arc fun fact ichigo broke it in the live action movie without shikai

Kensei metal flaps seem to be weights to me so he can fight with out getting blown away from his own explosive wind blast waves

My thought was that it functions a little bit like a power conduit, that's where the endless concussive force of his bankai is channeled from, through to his fists.
@@homunculus7 Ok, but I'm pretty sure it's just for aesthetics, like a lot of the features of other bankai. It would be cool if it had some kind of practical use, though

Unfortunately, even with all 4 of them ganging up on Aizen (hell, you can throw in the newly appointed Captain Lisa), I doubt they'll do anything more than tickle his balls.
Shinji shikai affect more than just sights.In tybw arc,he reverses speech and in cfyow novel,he inverts the directions of sound waves and said that he is training to reverse between hot and cold.I think his shikai might just be the reversal of all five senses,Complete Reversal.
So as far as hatchi goes he MAY have been using his sword release the entire time seeing as it's most likely a kido based weapon. Just a thought
Would be funny if it turns out Hachi is like the reverse Yumichika, he achieved Bankai, but it's a Melee bankai like Kenpachi so he hides it so nobody finds out.
I always got the impression that Hachi didn't really think about turning Barragan's power against him until Barragan started bragging about how absolute it was, which flicked the switch in Hachi's brain to think "Then what's protecting him from it?" Before that they were just trying to brute force past it and deal damage.
the reason for mashiro not using her her zanpakuto could be similar to why umichika doesnt use his. its incredibly usefull just not what theyd prefer to use cuz its not their prefered fighting style.

Edit: actually, I'd like to say that Rose's thing actually should've still affected Mask. I remember having the thought at the time when I was reading it too, even if your eardrums are ruptured the actual functions to hear sound are still there, it's just overwhelmingly painful. Gonna guess that Kubo wasn't even thinking of that though, it's extremly nitpicky lol
You do actually see mashiro’s sword when ichigo first meets the the vizards in their warehouse and starts to loose control they all pin him down at sword point and she has hers drawn right over ichigos head
I think the flappy metal thing that covered Kensei's both hands and around his shoulder is to control the amount of offensive reiatsu flowing thru his hand to avoid physical injury since his Bankai is all about "let's get physical".
Hadi Yazid I thought of it like the conduit for how he shapes his mass into his fists I.e how he makes his blades malleable and changes them. However I kinda like the reiatsu thing more 😁
Hadi Yazid i assumed it was like a "spoiler" type of thing like on a car. Since he is a Hallow and he is a physical based character, i would assume it was kinda like something to do with downforce and able to gather speed to close gaps lol

Is there any reason they never actually use there mask while in bankai I know Kensei uses bankai twice and rose only uses it once but they were all important fights..They only use the mask when their swords are sealed or in shikai.
Also using hollow powers while fighting Quincy and using bankai would have been dope and would make sense why they couldn’t be stollen. Just saying they should have been counters to the sternritter and really essential in the a last arc but we all know who that worked out.
Some hypothesize they can't hollowfy and use bankai at once for some reason
I've seen theories that maybe Yamamoto (or central 46) banned them from using hollow powers while in the soul society but then again, it's wartime and they were getting their asses handed to them, if this was truly the case then they really should have said "fuck it, I'm going hollow".
I always thought of him as the leader too, since he's always seen ordering the others around like during Ichigo's fight with his hollow with ordering hachi to make the barrier, or leading them into battle during fake karakura.
Rose isn't the only one we have seen use zanpakuto abilities while it was sealed. We saw Isshin use Getsuga Tensho with his sword sealed.
Never understood the part when mashiros mask breaks. She like "I can keep it for hours on end!!!" Then just shatters
I would guess it's because she can maintain it normally for 20 hours. But because she was fighting so much she ran out faster. But I find that hard to believe that having this power for 100 years even Mashiro would know it drains faster when fighting.

She was boasting to fuck with Ichigo? I mean he was the new guy at the time, it makes sense that you'd want to grill him for only being able to keep his hollow mask on a few seconds. My guess is that Mashiro can probably fight with her mask on for like 10 minutes, and outside of combat she could probably keep it on 6-7x time longer.

@@djmeagaaim17 They can regrow arms? Wierd. Cause Yamamota didn't recover his arm he lost to Aizen. Thought for sure it was cause Yamamoto had to ask a human to regain it and he was to proud to do so.
Now I wonder why not, why Yamamoto didn't, if squad 4 could do it.
@@melvindekkers6105 Yeah I know it's weird. Personally I think it would have been better if orihime did it would made more sense and it would made use of her abilities and more use of her in general, since I don't think the series did a good job utilizing her abilities.
Also Yamamoto chose not to get his arm fixed because honor or pride or something like that.

Lisa is the captain of Squad 8. She was Shunsui's lieutenant originally and when Nanao and Shunsui switched to squad one Lisa became captain of Squad 8
Maybe Rose's weird technique was like how Ishin could use getsuga tenshou without releasing egetsu

As for Kensei's Bankai form, the weird flappy thing, believe is heavy enough to ground him so that he doesn't get blown away from the heavy winds created by his Bankai, or could be like slicker like the wings of a plane which would allow greater movement in heavy winds.
I enjoy the bleach videos it reminds me of the old days when you were balancing school between videos and your channel was a lot smaller and you had the time to chat with little guys like us that watch videos, idk it’s nice having someone to talk to about bleach bc god knows nobody but me in my friends group watches it 😅
Next episode talk about xcution and thier powers or what kubo was trying changing the story a lot.

Love seeing new Bleach videos, just about a week ago I had a craving for the series. Perfect timing to get back into, with you making new Bleach videos! Urahara must have planned this (in reference to your Aizen vs Urahara video).
Kubo unleashed Kensei and Rose's Bankai but seems uninterested to unleash Ukitake's Bankai or at least explaining what sort of Bankai Unohana had.
I feel kubo lost interest in a lot of things in the final arc, heck he did not show all of roses bankai's, or what Ichigo's bankai did, and he is the main character

I think Mashiro's Zanpakuto would be frog-themed. It'd be called Kaeurumaru and it's released command is Jump. When released, the Zanpakuto gives her armor on her legs designed like a frog's to enhance her jumping and kicking ability. I got the frog idea from BleachListGirl.

I really love the Vizards and so this video was really enjoyable to watch, these Bleach discussions are really helping bring back how much I enjoyed this series.
As for the next video...how about the Fullbringers and their Fullbrings ? It's a very simple and short subject even if you include Ichigo's and Chad's and it would be a neat video.

I imagine the metal flappy thing as the ammo pouch for the explosions. Just put spirit energy into it, it stores it, then launches it in impact. Might multiply it similar to a getsuga
