I remember someone jokingly throwing out that Zeff could be the cook for the Roger Pirates. Which, while a cool idea, doesn't really make much sense. I will accept as fan canon that Douglass Bullet was the chef until proven otherwise.

Imagine is it was revealed Zeff learned to be a cook on the Orojackson. I don't think this was the case but if anyone could keep that kitchen from falling into chaos, it would be Zeff. I love the mental picture of Shanks and Buggy trying to sneak some extra food. Then Zeff flies out planting a foot in both of their asses.

And not only him there where probaly more People we did not even knew from the Marines back then and from some we still dont knew how strong they where like Sengoku Tsuru or Kong. I think you are overestimating shanks a bit. Blackbeard was able to injure him and give him that scar, a fish was able to rip off his arm. one might say out of the yonkos he's the most human and the most vulnerable.

Real world pirates used a pair of flags to signify their intent when attacking enemy vessels.

Sam Sam Funimation announced yesterday that Stampede will be coming to US theaters Oct 24-31 but there have been a couple japanese theater tapes of Stampede floating around - not sure if these are even subbed tho & I haven’t been able to find one yet :/ sorry that’s all i know!
A lot of people say that conquers haki is everywhere but it’s still really rare
It looks common because we're dealing with such powerhouses in the story, but in grand scheme it's rare, like on Amazon Lily where every person on the island knows Haki, only one of them has Conqueror's.

yeah. the new world is where all the strongest pirates gather. it makes sense that there are quite a lot of king's haki users there. and probably everyone who has it is in the new world (apart from hancock)

About rarity, Permanent Black Blade > King Haki.. Only 2 Black Blade exist while there's a bunch of King Haki user.
Laughter fruit? Japanese R and L sound similar, so Raftel switch the R and L and you have Lafter (Laughter) Island. And what is the symbol on a pirate flag? A Jolly Roger. It all comes together now.

I know why Roger was strong. He had the Arukōru Arukōru no Mi or the Alcohol Alcohol fruit. To make and/or manipulate alcohol and awakened make whatever he wanted into alcohol. Make beer, wine, sake, vodka etc. Go get the person he fights super drunk, they can't fight on normal terms and he beats them. He goes to find strong pirates and shows his ability. Most would be best friends with them. He was sick because of the amount of alcohol he drank, created or didn't realize the negative effect it had secretly. It had a negative effect on him. What a great power.

Rodger seemed to accept the title because he enjoyed fancy things such as this title and it meant he would have his freedom. We all like the idea of having a fancy title attached to us. I didn't exactly choose the title I have here, it was given to me but I still rather like it even if at times I don't think it suits me and even if it doesn't mean anything at this time. It is probably why many people were hyped about Luffy getting that fifth Yonko title. It doesn't mean much besides how he is perceived by the newspaper, but it is still a fancy title (Plus a demonstration that he is being taking seriously in his claims to become the king of the pirates by those who believe the newspaper). For many, Rodger was the king of the pirates because he seemed unbeatable, for others it was because he had done what no pirate had ever done in living memory and reached Raftel.

I sent you a tweet about it Tekking, but I want to mention it here too.
You made a video awhile back about the Strawhats vs Admirals.
You referenced an opening (17?) where Sanji fought Kizaru, you mentioned how Sanji was at more of a disadvantage against his opponent than Luffy was against Akainu, and Zoro was against Fujitora.
However, this was before we saw the abilities of Sanji's raid suit, the power to turn invisible.
It is clearly NOT some chameleon inspired ability as, if it was some superpowered camoflauge ability, Sanji would still have a shadow and thus would have been spotted by Drake and Page One.
Picture this.
Sanji is standing in front of Franky, and Franky turns on his nipples (lol), Sanji would be blocking much of the light. If he then activated his raid suit, Franky's lights would then be able to illuminate the areas that before had been covered in Sanji's shadow.
Oda is very logical when it comes to Devil Fruits that use a naturally occuring phenomenon, such as electricity and rubber, sand and moisture, wax and heat, etc.
Since invisibilty is essentially the ability to negate light's effect on you.
Does Sanji's Stealth Black abilities give him immunity to the light based attacks of Kizaru's Pika Pika no Mi?
This would also apply to Shiryu and the Clear-Clear no Mi. Which means Kizaru may be in real danger now. Blackbeard is without a doubt someone that would think of this and send Shiryu to kill Kizaru to take his DF. He might even believe that the only two ways to stop the Pika-Pika are on his crew, the Yami-Yami and the Clear-Clear.
No, even if the suit bends light perfectly around Sanji, I don't think I'd make him immune to Kizaru for narrative purposes.

No, Mihawk and Shanks had their battles when Mihawk was in his late 20s and Shanks in his early-to-mid 20s. Buggy and Shank, as members of Roger's crew, clashed against Shiki's crew when they were 12/13. Buggy likely didn't eat the Chop Chop Fruit until a few years after Roger defeated Shiki, so our boy Buggy was going into battle against a legend without even the benefit of a Devil Fruit. Just speaks to Buggy D. Clown's greatness, doesn't it?
What if Roger was just a normal man with no haki and no devil fruit, but he was always lucky and highly intelligent 🤷♂️

I think it will be a combination of a decent physical strength and/or speed, a goofy abbility (or a really useful one but not for combat) and god like haki.
So far all the people that showed C-Haki (besides Ace) seemed to be people that do their own thing and let nobody tell them what they have to do. So if Roger gathered so many people with it he must be more than top tier.

That does seem to be accurate, Shiki seemed to be formidable for his time (apparently not an equal to Rodger, Garp, Sengoku, or Whitebeard, but still among the powerhouses of his time), but he did not appear to be a Yonko. He seemed able to gather massive fleets and he was a meticulous planner so he was not someone to be underestimated

The Yonko aren't a system, its a colloquialism. They started being called that by the world at large and even now, we see that all it took was a sway in public opinion for Luffy to be considered the fifth emperor.

Hm maybe yes but i am not sure if this would have been total necessary. Since Garp in his prime clashed with roger same time and he was not even a Admiral. Also we knew nearly 0 about the Marine Structure at this time and how strong these People where.
I expect that they would have had quite a bit of trouble trying to defeat Rodger given the abilities of him and his crew who seem to be quite strong from what we have seen. Garp might not have been an admiral, but we know that he was younger and likely stronger then he is now and apparently the only reason he never became an admiral was because he didn't want the rank. As for the marine structure, we will likely learn more about that as the story goes on.
@@susakuzero if I'm remembering correctly I remember Garp implying something along the lines of that the Marines of today are significantly weaker than they used to be. It was brought up during the idea of the Rocks pirates. So I'd argue it as the power level of the over all world being weaker at the moment and we're just having to watch that climb begin again.

One thing that doesn't add up, Buggy said when Bullet was part of the Roger Pirates he was about as strong as Rayleigh but about a year after he left the crew he fought Crocodile and their battle ended in a draw.

Idk I feel like that would underplay Kaido. Like if he needed to cheat to veat one of Rogers underlings. I feel like Oden was able to cut him using his strongest and possibly last attack

roger had the gomu gomu no mi and when he died shanks went looking for his fruit so he could remember roger or whatever but luffy eats it and shanks took that as luffy is gonna be the next pirate king

What if Roger had no conquerors haki or even a devil fruit and his armament, observation haki and his physical strength were so immense that all of the devil fruit users, prodigies, and conquerors haki users just obeyed him, that would be so fucking scary. But it would be so much better if like the narrator said it in the exact same way he said it for all of Whitebeards injuries. So like on his walk to execution in a flashback he would say all of his feats and at the end of it all he would say all without conquerors haki or even a devil fruit. Then the screen would black, and the swords would collide. Into Shanks using an ability of Rogers. That would make the entire series worth it for me.

No one confirmed that Oden was the strongest swordsman in that time, he was only the strongest samurai in Wano and he could damage Kaido with two Ô Wazamono whilst Mihawk's sword (Yoru) is a Saijo Ô Wazamono, the strongest black blade in the whole world.

Guess what? Zoro is going to surpass Mihawk and he will do it without having the strongest sword, he may even do it with one of Oden swords which is inferior to Mihawk sword.

What I'm trying to say is that Oden is inferior to Mihawk in almost everything. Mihawk is a better swordsman, has a better sword, is a better haki user (probably), etc. If Oden can damage Kaido, why Mihawk can't do that as well? I'm starting to think people are downgrading Mihawk a lot, the disrespect is real this time, unfortunately.
