Another thing about Rukia's Bankai being the opposite of Ichigo is the fact that Rukia pretty much can't move in her Bankai while Ichigo pretty much becomes The Flash with the speed boost of Tensa Zangetsu

@@seawed3414 I'm fine actually. I'm a ghost now of course, but they've got me haunting a TGI Fridays (which is weird because I never set foot in one when I was alive). Sometimes I float into the women's locker room at a Planet Fitness in the same shopping center and I move the merchandise around in the Target when nobody's looking, so I keep busy, it's great, really. Everyone is free to like their own best girl/ship in my opinion. It's not the end of the world and Kubo in his generosity has provided us with a new set of waifus to argue over which is best.
I was going to jokingly reply to this guy in biblical type terms but after seeing him replying under other comments I thought he might _actually_ be angry there are people who prefer Rukia. I am personally not bothered. Best girl will always be best girl. The truth is immutable. Your best girl may be different, but I actually appreciate personal preference and I think that's a great thing about Kubo, that he has created such a diverse bunch of waifus and represented them all well. There's really something for everybody. And there are even husbandos for the ladies or for the guys who are into husbandos. I won't judge.

Me too. I first saw Bleach anime episode when Mayuri fought thay scientist Espada and Bleach movie Diamond Dust Rebellion after that single episode. Then I am hooked till now! Sode no Shirayuki is my all-time favorite zanpakuto and Gin Ichimaru is my all-time favorite character in Bleach.

Kubo created a world just as powerful as Dune or Star Wars. For that reason, I view him as a master storyteller on the level of Herbert and Lucas. That's why I can't stop Bleach-ing!

I've always seen Rukia's bankai as a cold parallel to Yamamoto's bankai. Both tremendously powerful, in opposing ways

I always interpreted it as, what she showed in the war arc was the Bankai mode of her first Dance, and as she developed she would have differently named “Bankai” ‘s based around the other two+ (I assume there are more dances she can do or has leaned to do) dances and eventually like Renji she earns her Bankai’s true name.
Imagine how powerful her other Dances would be in Bankai.

That sequence between Byakuya and Rukia is probably my favorite in the entire manga. Byakuya's character comes full-circle, as he acknowledges Rukia's capabilities and fully accepts her as a sibling (though strong hints of this had already been given during his speech to Zommari). This is why I'm glad he wasn't killed off; he might not have had a major role in any of the final Quincy fights, but this scene more than made up for it ^^
It always bothered me that we never got to see Byakuya's new bankai. He even said during the last arc that his old bankai was his new shikai so not seeing his new bankai hurt my soul lol

We saw it during the fight with Gerard. But I get your point; it was pretty much the same thing as before, so it just looked like he was using Shikai. It should've been displayed on a *much* larger scale than before.

OP talks about 2 charatcers working together and somehow everyone thinks that means them fighting each other.
Of course Ichigo next. Renji is most like after him. Then when you look at the others you need to do at least two Zanpkuto at a time to make a long video. Expect Ikakku, since he good for a video on his own. Hisagi when his Bankai is reveal in CFYOW too, coming to Brave Soul with Shinji's next year! So I think that be good for now while you think how to do Lieutenant and high Seat Members. Still be waiting on the new Espada video where you talk about their Hogyoku Forms too. Got eleven and video look see what they can do now.

Yeah that is what i heard, she was the first character Kubo drew, and she was going to be the man character, but hen he changed his mind for some reason.
Yeah ,back when it was called SNIPE and they used guns instead of swords. It was based on a one shot he wrote years before called BAD SHEILD UNITED. They were cyborg angents who resembled Ichi and Rukia .

A little off-topic, but since you mentioned Brave Souls have you heard about the new zero squad content coming soon? It might be a longshot but since Kubo is often at least involved with the art that goes into the game, we might actually be getting an actual look at (even if non canon still better than what we got in the manga) what the squad members true abilities and zanpakuto are in action, definitely more action than they got in their fights....
We are also getting TYBW anime, so maybe they'll do more there

That “filler” episode shouldn’t be filler at all, it honestly should be considered cannon because you can honestly feel the friendship. The love they have for eachother in terms of how much they actually care, idk that’s how I felt, you truly see a friendship “end” and it made me weep a little

I am a bleach fanboy and I don't play that game either. It honestly feels like a trash game to me. Or any other game with this kind of model. But I do watch some of their character reveal and gameplay videos every once in a while whenever they bring out a new character from the manga. And I appreciate them for keeping bleach going in their own way.

You say that but what sealed the deal for me was the soul society arc, Renji standing up to his Captain and risking it all to save Rukia and how he didn’t have the courage back then to stand up for himself. Sure Ichigo has always been a stand up guy but it would be messed up for Renji not to get the girl he always wanted the attention of for years. Renji and Rukia make more sense as a couple.

When I remember bleach, I remember many moments of a crying 16 years old me. Bleach is so emotional 🌞
I feel like the restriction of not being able to move probably persists even after training, since the whole point is that it makes everything, without exception, as cold as possible.
That said, being able to project the cold in a direction(rather than an AoE), increasing durability while in that state, or making it even colder all seem like options for improvement.
Also, it does seem like something she would avoid using in most situations, much like Shunsui's bankai.

Definitely plot armor. The Quincy she fought got frozen down to the atoms but byakuya freaking touches her while in her bankai and only gets part of his hand frozen. Those 2 events completely and utterly contradict each other

@@darknesswave100 I think its because she lowers the temperature when she goes bankai until it reaches absolute zero and then she was raising the temperature back up to get put of her bankai. So thats why byakuya wasn't completely frozen touching rukia because she was heating back up
Flash Step, I assume. Byakuya blitzed the fastest Espada with one injured leg. So it's not hard to imagine him pulling the old 'gtfo' and coming back once Rukia's nuclear ice bomb was done.

The problem with Rukia's Bankai is, that the attack itself might not have been her actual Bankai. The vibe the whole thing gives off, is very Ichigo in that he transforms into another form but the transformation itself puts off massive amounts of energy.

Really? Because on her side it made sense but on his side he was never shown treating her or considering her differently than most of his friends.
He at least had a very specifically different relationship with Rukia than with any other character.
I'm on the fence on whether I like Ichiruki more platonically or romantically but at least there's a relationship to be had.
As far as what we see from Ichigo's PoV Orihime isn't different from others aside from her part to play in the plot because of her powers.

The thing is that I can't really ship something that happened offscreen, or at least I can't consider it as having more chance of happening than anything else. because anything else could have happened and like... both of them have a stronger relationship with say... Ishida than they have with e/o so like IchIshi and IshiHime would have had more chance than IchiHime.... Hell Chizuru's crush on Orihime was pretty strong too so in what way is IchiHime more likely than any other?
In this sense it feels like the ship is forcefed when it wasn't needed to be canon to end the story. If the author wanted it so badly he could have actually built it since Orihime's been here since the beginning.
It just feels like a very cheap addition since the author didn't bother to develop the main character's feeling for what apparently became a love interest for the whole duration of his story.
20:20, exactly in one of the novels it was stated that rukia was offered the rank of captain the day she married renji, but she turned it down for some reason

The comparison to the Pokemon move sheer cold was great as it is a one hit ko move but only if it hits and the opponent is of lower level just how rukias bankai can be doged if your outside the area of the White mist and I assume if your reiastsu is stronger it won't effect you because it's kinda obvious that it won't work on someone like ywhach Or something.

I think the very best is Rangiku and Rukia is close second.
The difference between Toshiro and Rukia's Bankai's are that Hyourinmaru can create Ice in a more offensive and versatile. Sodeno Shiraiyuki is not as offensive, but has way more cold potency that Hyourinmaru.

I've got a few ideas how Rukia could have improved her Bankai:
When she's in bankai form, she is be able to "move" by splitting up her body and putting it back together again in a different place. She would be able to staying longer in absolute zero. (I imagined a fight between her and Soi Fon, using both their bankais: soifon's missile won't be able to reach rukia and also won't explode).
I think she can use the body splitting as an attack too, like byakuya using his mind to control the blades, she would be able to control herself and getting solid when attacking, without needing to actually move her body. Like an storm of sheer cold hitting her target.
Also her first dance improved (in shikai); using multiple circles at once in a greater distance (like sode no shirayuki in the filler arc).
During the fullbring arc she was able to use her zanpakutos power without needing to hold it. This could be extended by using the third dance and sticking the sword in the ground, she would be able to create and using swords out of ice, without being near her zanpakuto.
An attack using her ribbon would be cool too. Maybe if the blade breaks she still can recreate her sword when the ribbon is intact. Like the ability above.
Oh and also I think Mayuri would be extremly interested in her absolute zero ability. During her Capitain- test (?) she wouldn't be able to use her bankai because it would destroy the room mayuri prepared to her to show Hakka no Togame. There are a lot of scenes in my mind. I love Rukia

Also about her first dance i wonder if she can shot it from a distance after the ten year skip. While I'm well aware that it is a filler arc, doesn't Sode No Shirayuki (the spirit) fire it from a distance when fighting against her and Ichigo?

I think rukia wouldnt have hurt herself if she had frozen overtime. After a point she rapidly started to freeze herself and her surroundings.

Jump force uses shirafune as more like a buff. Like it puts cold along the blade.
