I went to JCB and Valderrama this year. LIV events are easily the best golf tournaments to attend and I've been to many on every tour over the years.

I’d like you to address the change in golf television. I used to enjoy and look forward to watching golf on TV. Coverage seemed batter and announcers more interested in the game than reading stats or expressing opinions. Now it is difficult to watch the PGA tournaments on the golf channel anymore. I’m not sure if it’s changed or I have changed what I expect. I thoroughly enjoy the Ryder cup, the Masters, and the LPGA and collegiate golf. It seems like real golf. Is it the course manipulation, players, coverage, technology, or the viewer that has changed? I have enjoyed what little LIV I’ve seen on television. I do watch some on TH-cam, but that’s more to catch up on what those players I enjoy most are specifically doing. I would really like to see you both take on where televised golf is going and where streaming services (multiple content choices) like TH-cam are likely to end up. Tiger is in it for Tiger. I wouldn’t choose him for my team. He’s was a great golfer, that’s all.

I listened to this earlier. I had to get away and think about why the OWGR doesn’t matter any longer. They killed their golden goose. They thought they could just keep things the same and that smarter, better informed and thanks to you, golfers thinking about golf’s future and fairness. You have laid bare the corruption of world rankings in golf. They cannot recover. We need a new group to develop a real golf standings and if the OWGR ignores it, they will lose all their majors. I do believe they are that stupid. They don’t want progress. In their view, they are all powerful and will remain blind to reality. Great discussion and a first to really talk about how this corrupt groups actions are destroying professional golf’s future. I will think more about this and all the ramifications it has caused in our loved sport. Golf, rare because so many fans actually play the sport. This is not common in other sports. Our investment as individuals is huge. Thanks for this discussion. I felt the OWGR was blind, corrupt, but did not know why or how.

In regards to Tiger Woods choice at Bethpage you should consider that Woods hates New York Fans. Look at his nasty expression to the fans when he won at Bethpage. We sang happy birthday to Phil and Woods wouldn’t piss on us if we were on fire. .wood played with security throughout the round and didn’t acknowledge a single fan. The new Tiger with nothing to offer and his fake smiles since loosing endorsements do to his actions. We would rather have Keegan with his genuine passion for the Rydercup and love of us fans.

I never understood how Tiger, a guy who only looks out for himself got elevated to leadership position. He has been as detrimental to golf’s future as Jay. Both are unable to see beyond their own pocketbook. This is an older podcast and nothing has changed.

The last US Ryder cup team were more focused on acting like spoilt teens than actually playing for their country. The no wearing and dothing an imaginary cap summed up where they were mentally. Scottie seemed to be the only one who tried, but just had a rough time out there. It will be very interesting to see who's selected for the next one.

I'm happy to see a change. Tired of the guys choosing their buddies to come and play when they aren't playing well.

I hope he picks all new vice captains, and get reed of the Couples, Strickers's, Love's, and any others. We need fresh blood, fresh idea's. Also they need to re-think the qualifying points from two years to the year of the Ryder cup. A player can play really good one year, and accumulate a bunch of points, but the year of the Ryder they can have a so so or bad year, but had enough point from the previous year to make the top ten. Only points during the year of the Ryder cup.

I'm thrilled to see the powers that be not rest on their laurels and just pick another old boys club member to keep the status quo, which obviously doesn't work. Keegan has shown his passion for the event, and I have confidence that he'll surround himself with people that have the same fire to actually put together a winning team on home soil that actually wants to be there. If ZJ's complete failure in Rome lead to this surprising decision, then that's a silver lining I'm willing to take moving forward.

I hope Keegan thinks outside the PGA Tour box and picks the best players regardless of tour. I have my doubts. Surprise me.

As a European, we all knew Tiger would have a poor Ryder Cup record, and never be a decent Captain, he is a tuning fork “me me me” doesn’t do team sport, or even team work. Bradley not getting selected for Rome, surprised he’s accepted the captaincy. LIV should have a number of Ryder Cup players, will Bradley pick them? Will he be allowed to pick them? For Europe there is Rahm, Tyrell Hatton and possibly Sergio, but we can still put out a team that’s determined to win. The PGA Tour believes it’s OMNI powerful, and the lead players think, that power includes them, it doesnt. Golf is a global sport, and LIV is recognising that, it also links with the Asian Tour with its international series. If the PGA doesnt work with LIV, give it 10 years and it will be the minor tour. PIF has unlimited money, has a global audience, the Major manufacturers are now realising its importance, all this in 2 years???

The only player who was always ready when still on pga tour was Reed because he kept playing DP tour events

Phil as vice captain would be awesome! Lot of the Liv stars left because they got screwed by pga tour or was just pissed at their greed not sharing equity with the players. So maybe Keegan will take his vengeance on the pga of America by going against the grain. Saying he’d take the best 12 players no matter what tour is a good start. Tiger being captain probably wouldn’t have taken Bryson or any deserving LIv players furthering the divide. Thats why negotiations are taking so long. The pga still hates Liv so hard to negotiate with that mindset going in.

Ryder Cup Captain has little or NO impact on result. The players are the best in US ,they dont need coaching or motivation. Just pick pairs and let them play.
