Love the fabric! I love the thrill of the roulette! If I do that along with the sew lucky jar, I would not need to buy fabric or patterns all year!! 🧐 😂

I got a purple pansy quilting cotton for my January pick. it is one of those fabrics that sound good in theory. But, it looks like purple camouflage in person. So, it is a challenge. January is the perfect time to make a swim suit. You can practice patience and slowing down. I am sure that fabric will be a bit of a struggle. Please pass on any tips and tricks.

I would like this 1000 times if I could. So clear and helpful, thank you! I've done FBAs a couple times before, but never on a wrap bodice and I feel prepared to tackle it now, and I also feel like I understand the overall process better now too (not just for wrap bodices). Thank you!!

I have sewn since I was a kid, but have never made a swimsuit. Maybe one of these years.

That is a risky game for me😂 I have several fabrics in my stash that I do not wish to sew and need to be in a good frame of mind.

Hey Kris. I completely understand not wanting to make a swimsuit in January. That beach water is too rough and cold.

😂how can you be devastated when it’s your own selection. lol. Your weather is mostly swimsuit attire, so you will be ready.

UFO’s urrr. Mine are in a trunk in my closet. I have other containers on top of it. I need to challenge myself to finish them or just get rid of them. I’m so glad i found your channel 2 weeks ago. I can relate to a lot of things you talk about snd sometimes I’m laughing out loud or just smiling and agreeing with you! I love the part in your video about 16:40 where you say “ pray to God Almighty and dive right in” 😂😂😂😂 that’s exactly what i still do 🙈🙈 i am trying to make toiles for every new pattern i sew but sometimes i just want to see the finished result on my “proper” fabric 😁 wishing you every success for your channel. I hear you about simplicity patterns! It guts me when i see how much patterns are in the US, compared to UK! Soo expensive in the UK. Even in the half price sales, they’re still more expensive compared to the US.

Thank you for sharing your sewing journey on your channel. I feel your pain about UFOs and wish I only had six. I just did a massive UFO purge earlier this month. I also had lots of things that wouldn’t fit me or my children anymore. One of my goals for this year is to sew down my UFO pile. Happy sewing!

I myself would not be purchasing any patterns as I live in the Caribbean Trinidad to be exact. The exchange rate is way too much for me. This is a situation where the juice ain't worth the squeeze...lol

I usually have to grade sizes but haven’t gotten into making adjustments cuz lazy. Lol. BUT I’m working on finalizing my bodice blocks and using those moving forward to reference any necessary adjustments in patterns.
