I like slow sewing. It’s relaxing to me. I’m never in a hurry to get a project done. The more confident I get with my skills I move a bit faster. Publix & Kroger are both pretty close to me, so I rarely stock up on groceries.
Sometimes I intentionally force myself to slow down and enjoy every single stitch or I pick a bigger and more complex project that will allow me to savour the process ☺️
Thanks for the video. I am so jealous. I saw a malt (Malta) in your grocery cart. I love that drink. I get to drink one every 5-10 years. Please take an extra sip for me. I am slow because am new and a procrastinator.
I am definitely a slow sewer 😂 I have a lot of sewing hours but everything takes me so long!! I have to blend all my patterns and I'm still struggling to get it just right - small bust, small waist, and large butt. I measure, and measure, I pick out and pick out because I don't like this or that. I spend way too much time sweating the small stuff 😂
What a beautiful and blessed message. I am so grateful for God’s Grace, the sacrifice of his beloved Son for the forgiveness of our sin and His forever goodness. Christmas is a wonderful season of grateful celebration❤️ I try, but don’t always, remember and be humbly grateful for all the blessings God has bestowed on me, including your lovely reminder of the true meaning of Christmas. I am a very slow sewer. I tend to go slow, step by step when sewing.
It is certainly a very remarkable time of year! I am guilty too of getting caught up in the hustle and bustle and sometimes forgetting to stop and focus! Nothing wrong with slow sewing. Allows you to be meticulous I’m sure.
I think I'm a slow sewist. However, when I need an outfit ASAP😂 I'm a fast sewist, or if it's something I've made before, I can get it done quickly. Your grocery had such a nice photo set-up. I hope you took a Pic.
I don't think I'm very fast, but I turn out enough garments because I use little pockets of time and sew instead of watching a lot of TV often.😂 it's amazing how much you can get done this way even when you're slow.
I’m a slow sewist. I have a good deal of interruptions that must be addressed first. There are days when I’m able to get more than two hours. Also when I rush…I have unnecessary errors. 😮😊
It’s definitely a struggle to juggle it all, but I feel you!!! As soon as I sit to sew my kids remember they are hungry or have homework or something 🥹🥹🥹
I am a definitely a slow sewist. If someone says it took them an hour, it will take me 3 or 4. I also do several sessions. Because when I get tired, I make errors. I have made about 10 garments and upcycled 7 more this year. I love upcycling almost as much as sewing from scratch. Being from Washington, I am curious what type of apples did you buy? We have a huge variety here. Thank you for reminding me to be grateful for the blessings we have and of the season. I have a few final errands today and I am all set for Christmas.
I love that you’re upcycling. I hardly ever do it but it’s great transforming old into new! I bought gala apples! Also love that you’re ahead of the game so far as Christmas is concerned!!! I’m still waiting for presents 😮💨
Not fast or slow… I make for perfection. No one knows how fast or slow one sews but they can see the finished garment… so I like the finished product to look awesome. I can make a dress in a day - vlogmas day 24 is proof but it’s not about the speed I feel 🥰🦩🥰🦩
@ oh totally …. It is interesting to see what they say… and it was a great question… I loved the cookie tin questions….great way to engage…. I would probably fall into the slow category…
I agree with you. The REAL reason for Christmas is Jesus. Fast or slow......I don't a little bit of both 😂. It's according what project I'm sewing . What pattern was your blouse? I love it.
Thanks a lot. It's the Harmony Blouse by Love Notions. ahhh I get you... sometimes I intentionally slow down and other times i'm flying on my face too lol
We have already done our shopping for the year! Praise God! It is a huge blessing to have the freedom to shop.❤ 🙏🏼❤.
I am definitely a slow sewist.
Amen 🙏🏼

I used to be a fast sewer but now I'm more a slow sewer. I spend a lot of time planning what I want my garment to look like.
Love this thoughtfulness 🥹
Oh man, that good old Red Label wine!!! Kris, I enjoyed shopping with you. I am a slow sewer myself.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the shopping! Red Label is a good friend indeed 😉

You’re welcome! And cheers to you, I’ll drink one for you! 😂 I feel you on the procrastination. lol that should be my middle name!

You're not alone!! I'm always tweaking, but it's definitely worth it when you get the perfect fit!!!!

Looooll this is totally understandable. I didn’t take a pic. Will probably try and take my kiddoes back for a photo

Definitely!!! Sometimes 20 or 30 minutes is all I have. We say locally every drop brings down rain and it’s so true!
@unsewcial I like that expression!

I almost forgot you today. My day was very long. I'm here now!🎉🎉🎉
I'm so glad you made it! It's always so nice to have you here! Thanks so much Zelda

I suppose it’s more about finding joy in the process. But nevertheless I thought it would be fun to see how people thought about it.

@@unsewcial I have the pattern, cut out the blouse, but haven't sewed it up yet. After seeing your blouse, it has inspired me to make it!👍
@ yayyyy happy sewing. What type of fabric are you going to use?!
I need to get with it! Have not gotten one thing.
😂😂😂okay I’m not too badly off then
