Great recap! I love them all but the bomber jacket has my heart! We’re very similar when it comes to fabric choice to sew with (woven), and garment choice (dresses). I did not do a Make 9 in 2024 and I will not in 2025 because my life has become more complicated with the children getting older and involved in sports, church, and music lessons. I’ll make what I make, share it, and hope to inspire! ❤
I always enjoy your fabric choices. Your brother's button-up shirt looks sooo good on both of you! You both are "cool" so the colour looks brilliant! The fabric choice for your rich auntie look always sends me. I would have hoarded that fabric too. That challenge actually encouraged me to use up most of a cherry red linen that I have been hoarding since 2016 or 2017! I also learned this year that I am "warm" so now, unlike before, I can really see that I was hoarding a bright cherry red fabric for no good reason because it makes my skin look really inflamed. LOL! But I don't care. I love the colour so I will wear it with joy, in sickness and in health. You got an A+++ from me for your Make 9 2024. I don't think the bag counts because you couldn't get your supplies and you made two items for #2. I tried the Make 9 2024 mid-year but it didn't work for me because my needs changed so I abandoned it. These kinds of plans probably work for those whose minds aren't like a squirrel (like me). Have a happy New Year!😊
Thanks a lot. We are both Twilight Winters so I could borrrow everything from his closet (color wise!). Sometimes I sew and wear something outside my palette too so do enjoy your cherry red linen!!! I like the way you look at things lol. 2 in one category cancels out the one I didn’t do 🤣. I chose categories so it was less burdensome. I knew if I chose specific projects I wouldn’t get them done because I change my mind quickly and easily too ☺️
@@unsewcial I wish I could be a Twilight Winter sibling too. LOL We could all twin together. Winter colours are my favourite - especially great in winter because I am going through a dreary one right now in Canada. Everything is brown, grey and gross so your channel lifts me up during this season. That and you have great style! Thank you!
All of your makes are lovely. I especially respect your progress with your r Make 9, I used to have issues with pants because of my size, and you are right: crotch depth and length are the most important as everything moves out from there. I used the crotch of a well-fitting pair of jeans. I traced it, making front and back, and I put that against all pant patterns that I am going to use, seams included. I traced it on heavy card. I find that McCalls and Burda are closest to this. The Saguaro pants also. I have made them my wide -leg go to pant. I just change the top for drawstring or elastic.
Thank you. It’s been a ride and I’m happy to have done so well on it! I’m glad you e found a pant trick that works well for you. It’s a good feeling to have a nice fitting pant!!
I have never done a make 9 and I’m not sure I want to 😂. Sewing is the one place in my life that is all play and I worry I would feel constrained. That being said, I loved hearing about yours and I would wear these pieces! I think my favourites are the bomber jacket and bathing suit! I’m excited to hear about everything you made in the next video! I want to track mine this year, too!
You are right to value that play time! Sometimes making a plan feels less like play and more like work, so it's great to do what feels best to you! Thanks so much. I think that bomber is everyone’s fave!!!
Thanks so much. No I don’t have a tutorial. I had shared clips of my progress over on Instagram stories for this one. I did use the causeway bomber and given it was my first time I glanced at the instructions a few times !
Your makes from 2024 are all amazing! When you say that you aren’t allowed to order from certain stores, what do you mean by that? Have you put a boycott on them yourself, has your husband forbidden you, or does your government not allow it?
Thanks a lot. None of the above. There seems to be a block on those sites...idk if it has to do with IP address but they don't accept orders from where I am... when I am states side ive been able to order no problem.
You always have such amazing makes! My favorite from your make 9 was the bomber jacket, although all of your garments were beautifully made!
Awwww thanks a lot! I really like my bomber too. Plus I’ve never made anything like it before so that was a new experience!

Thanks T. I completely understand. My kids pretty much run my life too especially my 2 year old🥹. Happy sewing in 2025!!!!

I really like the striped blouse you are wearing in this video. Have you made it yourself? If so, which pattern?
