Pennsylvania Gold Hunter
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 13 เม.ย. 2021
Most people write PA off as a place for gold. But there’s plenty, follow me and let’s have an adventure
Finding Gold under a Pennsylvania bridge
I like to dig around bridges and former bridge locations. These man made structures cause water to concentrate and slow down. Dirt is also brought in after construction to help secure the foundations. This loose sediment helps move gold around these areas

If you can’t get to the creeks, paydirt is a great way to scratch the itch! Matt is Pennsylvania guy but dredges a lot in the Virginian gold belt, looking for the pay streaks that spurred enough interest to start several gold mines! CalTopo app Thanks Matt for all the information you share and fantastic paydirt! www.etsy.com/shop/ProspectingGeologist

Back at the bridge where I found some gold. Trying to see if there’s a bigger pocket nearby. I plan on working this entire area right up to the bridge.

You forgot redstone creek located in fayette county
Just got into metal detecting, is it worth detecting in any creek stream not necessarily looking for gold, or should I stick to land?
Grew up in New Sewickley twp Freedom high school.
Thank you I really like your videos very entertaining and very well done
Thank you, young man
Thank you buddy enjoy your videos. I’m Near northeast Pennsylvania. …any areas you might recommend any Creeks I might try ….thank you.
Erie county? U said elk creek i would think walnut would be just as good and how about Winter green gorge. That place was literally carved out by glacier if anywhere had gold.I would say when a green gorge would be a hell of a spot to check
This might be a weird question: Which of the areas you frequent is good for camping? Preferably for backcountry camping.
Gold went up a lot since this video. It’s worth a whole lot more now. Edit: I looked it up and gold price in 5/24 is $75 a gram so this is worth about $135 now.
I live in Delaware County and want to check the creeks by me
Great videos man. Just stumbled across your channel and thought I recognized the name. Went to school with your brother. Small world, keep up with the awesome content.
Bulls Creek is full of nuggets
Love your video! We may not be dripping gold everywhere in PA but we sure do have some of the best water to GET OUR "SHINE" ON! 👍😁
What permits do you need for gold prospecting
No permits needed, but permission is needed for private properties. You just need to look up prospecting regulations for your state because certain areas aren't allowed, like gamelands. I think the state/national forests are okay unless access has been barred, in which case a signnwill be posted.
Thank you might give it a try
NICE Pan!
I'm oing to Tunkhannock Creek in Wyoming County PA on 4/29. Going to metal detect+ crevice out & pan a few bedrock spots. I'll keep you posted if I find anything.
Greart job, im new to prospecting so i will be watching
Bought one bag from this guy. Worst paydirt I’ve ever done. Got a 8% ROI from it. Then I read the reviews, which I should have done first of course. The way he talks to customers is ridiculous. Hard pass from me.
Ever prospect around west branch of little beaver creek? Enon Valley area?
From Sayre PA. Towanda not far but i plan on going around Sayre / Athens to see if there is any gold at all.
Awesome to see SAYRE PA !!! Where im from and live :)
i bought a nice metal one at wlamart ( strainer ) Worked great !
What is a good size pan for a beginner that wants to try his luck? Also, are only state parks the places where you can pan in Pa.?
From Bradford. Sayre pa ! Awesome video
I got one of the fine metal ones for even smaller classification from the dollar store. Great video! Proof you can get into this hobby for just a few bucks.
Is it worth getting into?
Prospecting? Tom massey of the GPAA says this, "It's not about having the gold, it's about FINDING the gold [anticipation and fun with friends and family]". Tom once found so much in one river hole in CA that he saved it all just as is. The hole was between two steep mountain hills in a deep river crevace--in a spot 80' deep that they dove down to. People ask him, "What did you do with it all?", and he always answers, "I still have it!" I can't remember how much gold it was--seems like they said 80+ pounds??--not sure. I know it wasn't grams. But he is cheerful, down to earth, is not competitive with others and just has fun "finding" the gold. His late father founded the GPAA. Anticipation that's healthy is hope, and good for great downtime, so as far as health, yes, even if you only ever find a crumb.
Cornwall iron mine is in Lebanon county pa. I live 2 miles from there. fun fact... they used to derive enough gold to pay their employees As told to me on the tour. by the way loved your video.
I really wanna get out and play near loyalsock and worlds end state park area.
Try Ladds Creek near Dushore.
@@lizarrrdbeth thanks! I have friends with property not far from there. I could ask some residents if they don't mind me passing through some promising sections. There are some neat places in the Shunk area as well
Im'a quit my job and pan in Pennsylvania , thanks!
I know your Hot Spot. I just started prospecting and in 1 pan had more Gold. You need to go stream!!! I'm happy to share the spot. I'm not getting rich, just having a hobby.
I live in Natrona Heights/Brackenridge area. I worked out the general area from the road sign. Between us is the Moraine area that's supposed to be a decent area. I have never panned for gold but I do have a pan. I need to put a sluce together. Any good suggestions where a newbie could get his feet wet?
Hey Jess any gold in the cussuwaga creek or French creek in crawford county area?
According to dcnr you, that's the Department conservation of natural resources. Prospecting the Delaware river is not allowed. Can't take anything like rocks, minerals, gold, out of the river and you absolutely can not dig the bank of the river what so ever. Sorry. I tried and called proper authorities first.
Gold sleuthing is illegal in pa streams
That's why it's prospecting not every pan is gold heavy , nice job
Can you do some research to see if you can find gold in Perry county PA, this is where I live and I’ve done research but I can’t find anything
I live in greensburg ill look in my creek. Never tried
Trout fish Kinza creek never gave gold a thought, Thanks for the info.
I live in Canton, Pa ive been feeling like theres gold.
free gold keep it up bro!
Octoraro creek on chester county and lancaster county line ive found some gold but ive only tried one time and found just little flakes
I am in Ellwood city
Is Cherry Run in Armstrong County a good stream for panning?
The waterfall shown at 0:50 with the caption "Peter's Creek" is actually Ohiopyle Falls on the Youghiogheny River. I think it must be a TH-cam trend for the video to have nothing to do with the audio or narration.
So are you allowed to use the sluice legally without a permit in PA?
Correct, no permit needed
Are there any creeks in W. Pa. that contain gold? I heard that in N. Western Pa there may be some creeks that have it but I'm not sure where I heard it from.
I primarily pan in western pa. Most creeks and rivers on the west end of pa will produce
@@pennsylvaniagoldhunter I didn't know if there were that many creeks that enough gold to make it worth buying all the items I'd need to at least break even after a while. I'll have to see if I can find a map of some of the creeks near me and go from there. Can you get around a gram a day in W.Pa if you are really working?
Test where the really large boulders are on the other side of the downward current. Bridge creates a choke point high pressure. Creek flattens out like a sluice box downstream. Low pressure.
Really nice find for your test.
I want too, it’s just there’s sooo much overburden
PA waterways...lol
Unsearched........ ya ok
I hear ya on this… many paydirt sellers say this. It’s a matter of trust 🤷🏻♂️ If I’m selling dirt, I’d be to tempted to check. But with that said I’ve found a really fun sized nugget in a bag before. 1.6g it was
I think I recognize that stretch of road. Western pa.
What part of Pennsylvania are you in?
Western border
