Im to from Waterford PA and I found 5 tiny pieces of gold in the creek in my back yard. there is alot of gray clay bottoms and bedrock showing just need the time to get after it. Nice pieces of gold.
@@pennsylvaniagoldhunter so am I to understand that gold will settle just above the clay like hitting bedrock? I'm on lake erie and have found open clay beds in the sides of hills ncliffs. Wondered if its worth checking out. Ty
I live in pa as well and use it right on a sandbar on the susquehanna River near Bloomsburg however I changed the matting to dream mats and I kept one original I use a purple green and a gray as the last mat works alot better the original ones are great however they fill up with black sand rather quickly I was having to do alot of clean outs with dream mats I cut that in half good luck on your adventures
@@pennsylvaniagoldhunter it's actually a small island that is wooded its about 50 from the bank I set up at the tail end of the island it has a very large trail of sand that follows out
Cool vid , I'm from North East Pennsytucky and really want to get into do this gold hunting . Past prospecting has been far less than stellar in my area . A guy worked mill creek for 5 days and found $4 worth of gold . Happy Thanksgiving
Hi there, been watching your videos and surprised there are that many places in Pa for finding gold. You said the Susquehanna River has gold. I was wondering if you know if the Clearfield and Shawville areas would have a good chance of having it? We have to small streams that run into it near my house too. My sister and I sometimes metal detect and thought we would like to pan for gold. Only have done it a few time. Thanks for any help you could give us.

Yes those areas will produce. You just need to stay in very rocky areas. The Susquehanna has a lot of muddy stretches, you’ll want to avoid those

I added the ribbed mat on the top plate and that catches 90% of the gold it seems
