- I moved a lot of dirt in this video and enjoyed the gold that I got out of it. I had a lot of fun making this video. I hope you like it and hope it encourages everyone to get out and poke around the creeks of Pennsylvania

I live in clarion pa and I’m learning. That means I’m not finding anything. Not knowing which spots to look at or dig far enough.

Yup it’s fun finding it where it’s not supposed to be
What’s stopping you from going out and just doing the work and filling the truck bed in a couple hours so when you get home you have a couple days/weeks worth of panning? Both locations resulted in gold. Is it far from the truck to the creek? Hard to dig in the right spot? In my mind you should take a tote/wheelbarrow down and have that full per hour/half hour. I guess the thinking/planning is half the battle but you have two spots that yield. Go dig em. You got all the time in the world at home to pan.
You’re right about all the time in the world at home, that’s why I don’t pan at the creek much.
But it’s a 20-25 minutes to classify a bucket 3/4 full which is still very heavy. So between digging, classifying (manually pouring water), carrying heavy buckets. Not only is it time consuming, it’s physically exhausting, so I go as long as I can. Some days is more than others
Great video! I was wondering where ya been. I like your classifier, if you can get a gamma lid and cut the center out you could double your speed classifying. I go over the one I made in one of my vids, gold prospecting with my pup. Good luck and good job finding that source!

Thanks! I'm six hours from any gold in NY, in the top northeast corner. It's quicker for me to drive to Maine to run my highbanker! Usually pan in Vermont but no highbanking there.

I live in Natrona Heights/Brackenridge area. I worked out the general area from the road sign. Between us is the Moraine area that's supposed to be a decent area. I have never panned for gold but I do have a pan. I need to put a sluce together. Any good suggestions where a newbie could get his feet wet?
Where is this general area at? My wife and I just want to do it for fun and we live in Pittsburgh. I found one small flake so far in the Mconnel Mills area. I didn't pan for too long because my wife wasn't feeling good at the time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I live in northeastern Pa . What region of PA are you in?
Most of my videos are out of western PA
But I’m from the North East as well and there’s a couple good places up there. The Cayuga creek runs through sayre pa and has descent gold

It really surprises me you don't just run the dirt where your digging it ? Are you trying to be discrete
No that’s not it. I sorta explain why in one of earlier videos. But the reason is, I drive 35 minutes to this spot and I only have like 3-4 hours til I need to get home or pick the kids up from school. So I spend that time collecting dirt, Because I can wash it at my house later that week whenever I get the time.
