My Hyperblue STi is at 88,000. If anyone is interested in hearing what works for me, let me know.
Nice!! ✌️
my brz ts 2020 only has 20k miles but i also need to replace the windshield sucks the newers cars now will not be stick and its like a dying thing but all good OLD is GOLD easy to fix cheaper parts.. going to build a CRX or a ek9 as a cheap daily but they are hard to find clean
Yea the windshield is one of those things that take so much abuse from rocks, especially with so many larger trucks on the road. Both cars are definitely nice options 👌
@@STi_Alan worse on cars with all that silly video driving tracking sensors you'll need calibration and some brands needs to be sent back to dealer for that special calibration fee $ lol.. new cars now days have way too much crap in them
nice
Thanks! ✌
1885 scissor ? hah
😂 You never know when random tools in the garage will come in handy
He's old enough to be Bunta but looks young enough to be a 30 something Takumi.
Take a wet microfiber rag to that shiny steering wheel
No way
100k on original clutch?
Yep! With mostly highway miles though, so that definitely makes a difference
@@STi_Alan thats still amazing. im sure you could have does 60k with all city.
That Dolly reveal 😂
🐾 Dolly just wanted the treat 😂
Perfect car ✅️ perfect color ❌️ Much love for WRX STI 💙💙💙
@@aboodehaffar3184 haha yep! If the STI would’ve been available for me to factory order one, i definitely would’ve went with WRB! By I love the car nonetheless ✌️
Try to make it to 200k on original engine, that would go viral, first reliable subaru 😂
🫡 Challenge accepted!
I owned a brand new 2016 STI that was silver, like a fool I sold it, I thought a new STI was coming out with 400hp
Aww man! 😭 I was looking forward to a 400hp STI too but when I heard the 2022 WRX wouldn't have an STI, I bought this one
@ I’m looking for another 2018-2021 STI. Prices seem good but it’s hard to get one that some guy didn’t modify, I want one stock and had just 1 owner. Lots of WRX and STI have crash on carfax because guys think they can drive in snow and ice with the stock summer performance tires. I tried once to drive with the summer tires, I couldn’t stop at all! Dealers here in NY never tell anyone about this and they end up crashing
@ It's definitely difficult to find one that hasn't been roughed up for a good price! That's true, a lot of STI's especially from warmer states have summer tires from factory and they end up being sold like that in colder places
@ I’m gonna buy a low mile one owner 2018-2021 STI I just decided, not even worried about the price, I figure $35,000-$38,000 maximum
Reaching 100,000 miles shouldn’t ever be impressive but for this known weak engine , it’s apparently good. 😂
It's what makes a Subaru a Subaru ✌️
170k miles on original stock gvb sti engine, runs strong
Nice!! That's what I like to hear!
Living in Des Moines all-wheel drive kinda a necessity!...
Most definitely!
Congrats Alan! Tell Kevin to let you show up on his channel, you deserve it! Also congrats on the milestone!
Thanks man! If you look closely you might see me in the background editing 😂
Congrats man! Excited to see more videos with this subie
Thank you! Look forward to more ✌️
Only a Subaru can look this good after 100k miles💪🏾❤️
Yessir! ✌️
Great video! You have gained a subscriber and I’ve saved a bunch of your maintenance videos for future use. I admire your dedication to the maintenance and upkeep of your STi. You clearly understand that this vehicle is a legend and the last of its kind. Especially now considering Subaru isn’t making STi’s any longer. Congratulations on paying off your car. Not having a car note is a major plus especially for a young man like yourself.👍🏼 As for mods, keep it strictly for the longevity of the car and its life! Air/oil separator, a more efficient radiator and a GetADom 4th cylinder mod should keep your car running longer and stronger!💪🏼
Thanks and welcome to the channel! Yes paying off the car was definitely a great decision! And thanks for the mod suggestions, I'm always looking for more ways to improve the car ✌️
Congratulations, Alan. Here's to another 100k miles on the road!!! 🦾
Thank you! Lets go!! My subie is ready for more ✌️
Happy New brother. I'm @86K on my 2020 Bluebaru. I paid my STI off right when I bought it in January 2022. I upgraded from the 2017 WRX. The STI is a perfect daily driver as you stated. Subaru needs to make another STI. If the y do i might buy it. Have a safe and fun Subie STI year brother. We are leaving that fun and positive subie life. I'm out here in Oceanside Ca. Oh yeahhhh.
Happy New Year! Nice!! That's a great upgrade and nice to see you putting miles on it and enjoying your car with no car note! Look forward to a new EV or hybrid STI in the next few years 😅😬

Thanks, you're too kind! ✌️
Congratulations on 3 Years Alan🎉 Really enjoyed the video content and Quality.
Thank you!! I’m glad you enjoyed!
Congrats on paying off the Sti man!
Thanks man! It’s definitely a great feeling
The Hong Kong Initial D was just fine. It was a perfectly fine adaptation in a time where nobody was even looking at Initial D as anything else other than a cheap cartoon.
Finally we need a REAL VERSION
Hey Alan! Your father turned me on to your channel. Glad to see you are doing well. I truly enjoyed your video, and look forward to watching more. My daughter is enjoying the Camry. Loves showing off her manual driving skills to the boys. Unfortunately for the car, she got in a little fender bender in early December. Very minor. Busted the headlight, cracked the bumper cover, bent up the fender, and damaged the wheel; all on the front left. But never fear, I've replaced the light, popped out the plastic, and straightened the metal as best as I could. More work is planned for when it gets warm again.
Thanks for checking out the channel! I'm glad she's still enjoying the Camry and helping to save the manuals. Hey it's ok, accidents happen, I'm glad everyone seems to be ok and that you're still taking good care of the car!
@@STi_Alan Oh, yeah. She's fine. And as far as I know, so was the other driver.

Super useful tutorial! Should you also flush your brake fluid after replacing all new pads and rotors?
Thank you! Unless air got into the brake line it's not required. As long as the brake lines stayed attached to the calipers while replacing the pads and rotors, you should be set!
@ Ok nice thanks! Some other videos say you need to bleed the brakes when you push in the pistons so that the master cylinder doesnt overflow. Thoughts??
@ if you want to be extra cautious to not let the brake master cylinder overflow or prevent the possibility of any contaminants getting into the brake system, it’s not a bad idea to so, especially if the fluid is old. But you could also crack open the bleeder valve slightly when compressing the pistons to prevent any fluid from going back to the reservoir. Then afterwards you could bleed the brakes which would also remove any air in the lines.
@@STi_Alan Thanks heaps for the detailed response! Much appreciated 😉
But are they going to atleast follow the story. Also initial d shouldn't be a movie unless they plan to make it atleast 4 movies(not including project d). They could adapt the first couple or so episodes into a movie but it may be too similar to the one that exists already but atleast it would make sense and be in the right order.
I would definitely be happy if they made a multi-part series of some sort out of the live action!
Forgot to ask you if this was the extended reach/low profile jack or regular reach? In other words; Is it, part number # 64241 or Part number # 70486. As previously mentioned, I've seen the video a ton of times lol but to me it looks to be an extended reach jack, you have in this video.
I went and checked my order details from Harbor Freight and it looks like I have the "3 ton low profile floor jack with rapid pump" Item #56617
@@STi_Alan You are the man!!! I have been checking part numbers since you posted this and have yet to match anything to that 😵💫 I'll just go and match your description in hopes to get something similar. As the nearest one is about an hour from me. Thanks once again. I hope your new endeavors are working out for you, my friend.. 🦾
Sung Kang would be great to play as Takumi's father
I must be the only person who actually enjoyed the Hong Kong adaptation. It wasn’t like the anime but it was good in its own way.
The Hong Kong adaptation had some good qualities but I think a lot of us including myself were more focused on comparing it to the anime/manga, resulting in many of us being left disappointed
@ I can totally see that.
JUST PLEASE dont make Takumi black or white plzzzz
Or worse a gurlbozz
I have a 2019 STI I picked up almost two years ago and have religiously followed along your videos to do my maintenance at home. Gonna be a while before I’ll need this video again to do my brakes but I always watch just to be informed!
Awesome!! Thanks so much for your continued support and great choice of car! ✌️
Dope
Where did you get the bolt for removing the old rotors?
I had some m8 - 1.25 bolts from a previous project. I believe I just got them at Home Depot but they are just generic so any similar home improvement store should have them
What year is this model?.? I have a 2021 STI, when I search on rockauto for oem brembo rotors, nothing is listed under my actual 2021 sti...... How did you find these rotors?
You can get them straight from brembo,I ordered front and rear rotors today for my 2020 STi. Fronts were only $145 per rotor vs $620 from the dealer.
Nice!!
I have a 2018 STI and on Rock Auto the Rotors part # 09C82811 and #09.C829.11 are listed as being for 2018-2021 STI
I never knew you needed to reuse the oem pad shims on the fronts, can you buy new shims from the delearship? What's the price?
I don't think it's terribly important to reuse the oem pad shims if your new brake pads already have them. But I managed to find the OEM shims on Subaru's website, part # 6298FE00 and the MSRP is $62.50! 😱
It is to bad that Crunchy Roll in the U.S. dropped Initial D from its anime line up. I enjoyed watching it from time to time. Now I can only find bits and pieces of it on the net.
Aww man, that sucks! I watched the first stage on Crunchy Roll U.S. before but had to search high and low for just about everything else! Now it's all gone 😭
It’s on TH-cam in sub and dub that’s how I’ve been re watching year after year
I think that we need a triology, 1st stage to 3rd stage is a masterpiece
